No matter when a new project pops up, if you want to spend money investing in it, you have to do properly your homework, researching the background, the team, the long term viability of the project ... If you invest without thinking you are not better than gambling.
Agree, assessing every possible thing behind the project you'll be investing with is the biggest responsibility everybody should be doing so. It is to at least lessen the probability of dealing with a trash project already. Anyway, investing is already a gamble, right? However you could gamble in a different way though, applying some techniques, ideas and tips so that you'll be able to make your own well-decided path. And one more thing, this ain't the only time bunch of projects have occured, way back then dozens of promising projects pops out, and unfortunately majorty of 'em failed. So, people seem to be a lot wiser now (hope so).

As a hunter, now we must be able to properly research the project so that what we work has results. However it is, to find projects that really pay is very difficult, especially IEO / ICO is difficult to get funds from investors, because investors are now smart in investing in crypto. Maybe it's because they have suffered losses in investing.

we must be careful about choosing projects, it is common today. because the prices of bitcoin and altcoin are starting to recover, I am also afraid that some new investors will rush to increase their assets so that investing in things can end up being a scam. however, until now I think there are still many scam projects. because of this, do not reduce your vigilance to invest, especially in new projects.

Many people understand that the beginning of 2020 is very good for cryptocurrencies and therefore they open their cryptocurrency companies, but of course, people who have long been in the cryptocurrency sphere know that need first fully study the project and then make investments, but newcomers in the cryptocurrency sphere will certainly have a hard time from the very beginning, but we all went through this.

You are absolutely right, this year is the year many new projects emerge, although optimistic about the new project, a research is the main key that must be done. Learn from past events when joining a project without doing a research. When the project stops halfway, who wants to be blamed for the time and thought that has been expended
Is there any statistical analysis that shows the numerous new projects that started this year, because other than i find it difficult to believe that there have been so many projects this year, compared or far more than in the past(i've not been seeing them). But whether or not that is case, finding more about the project is the first point of note, the really indispensable part.

Becareful fellas, new projects are now showing up just because of the Bitcoin hype growing around the internet, the FOMO is alive and no one wants to miss out, now new projects are joining the train as well, behold 'its all about money making' ,do not entirely put your trust in new projects, even new bounties are showing up too, I pity you if you don't know how to patiently do some research
Even there's no hype on the price of bitcoin we can still see a new project and every day we can find it in the bounty section. We can't avoid seeing some people who are FOMO especially on the great improvement of bitcoin and better situation of the market. It's always required to do some research before we risk our money and it's our responsibility to do it because we are the ones who will invest and we should not rely on someone. Until today based on what I see it still hard to trust a new project that's why doing deeper research about it will totally help us especially if we intend to know if the project is worth it to invest. IMO, for the safeness of our money, we should stick with the project that we really know and invest in the project that has a good image in the cryptocurrency field. Be wise about choosing a new project and be aware of the scammer who always wants to take our money.

Nothing new here from what I have seen and experienced in 2017. When bitcoin enters into its bull run, we will be seeing lots of new people are coming in to crypto space just for making money in the name of ICOs or in all of the possible means. The pathetic situation here must be, the scammers are making themselves well-hidden by having how the real devs are looking-like which makes the innocent investors to filter them out very hard. In my opinion, we do not need any new coin without any innovative feature or without solving a problem which was not addressed yet by bitcoin or any other leading reputed coin. When we start ignoring all the copycat, then probably we can have very healthy environment in this altcoin space. Only when we are looking for easy money out of non-perfect projects, the scammers are getting easier to steal our money.

Yes, I agree with your opinion. The number of new projects that exist makes competition more difficult in crypto. Many have failed that I have noticed when I joined a new project. I am more interested in joining projects that are already on the market and already have products that people use.

Thanks for the reminder, but I think people are getting smarter now. Investors and bounty hunters are really looking at every projects that pop up in the wild making sure that they are not scammy as we don't want to be in the 2017 wherein there's a lot of projects that exit scam with millions of dollars. But still, this is a good warning from the OP, again, used your common sense before investing your hard earn money on new projects.

This is how the market is being played, we have seen thousands of projects in the past, that looks good in paper but in the end, either the project failed or it exit scam. I'm not into bounties but it seems that they are again increasing exponentially. So for everyone, just check everything, do your own research (DYOR) so as not to be the next victim here. The OP is right, when Bitcoin hype is growing and so as criminals around taking advantage of gullible person who just wanted to join the bandwagon, specially those newbies. You can also go to Scam Accusations board to see if the project has been flagged by our investigators.

Yes new project are coming in the space because of this recent rally in the market, this past few days, market has been very impressive, both alts and btc witness a rise in price, also don't forget btc halving is close and it is expected that it could result in price increase, so i guess some of this new project already thought about this possibilities and decide to enter the market at this time.

Patiently doing some research doesn't automatically mean you'll be safe from the scams as this days the scamming project at getting good at disguising themselves as legitimate project. They even spend lots of cash promoting themselves either via paid advert or signature (bounty) campaigns. Total avoidance will be the best option right out. Most of the altcoin (if not all) at just distractions and will end badly since bitcoin bull run is around the corner. Many altcoins will lose value in satoshi meaning if you would had just hold unto your bitcoin, you'll have gained more than investing in the worthless altcoins pumping up.

Indeed one everyone needs to be careful, when the market was struggling most projects were on the low but now the market is showing signs of recovery they are all popping up with one unrealistic ideas or the other, although there are few which have genuine ideas. Most people which held various altcoins that are now in profit should endeavour to make adequate and proper research about any project whatsoever irrespective of any news or hype surrounding the project; we are responsible for our own investments thus appropriate care needs to be taken and if in doubt it won't hurt to stick to top altcoins.

Investors are now wiser at least majority of them are much aware of the crypto trend. So it's now very difficult to get who to scam. Only real projects are surviving at this time .

This always happens. If the market starts to move up, the scammers are activated along with it, offering new promising profitable projects that are not destined to be realized. However, now it is impossible to say that the market is in an uptrend, rather, it fell into place. Therefore, we will see a truly full-scale offensive by scammers in a few months.

New nonsense projects have been coming all the time since first altcoins started and they have been decreasing a lot on the last bear run, i can't see any increase in them. Even many of the sites that follow new shitcoins have been shutting down. Nr of shitcoin projects will increase a lot in the future, i just can't see it yet in my feeds.

With the scammed projects we have been experiencing on the previous years, we should be very careful now in choosing potential projects to invest. The market is now recovering and this will be the perfect time for scammers to show up again. So never stop on searching for details and keep making research if we want to invest in projects that will not waste our time in the long run.

I have seen several new projects getting listed at Binance right now, some get free listing and some are direct listing. I trust Binance verification on these projects I guess they will not allow scam project to ruin their name. Looks like these projects already ride the train and waiting to go forward. Also, these new projects popping out it is not new since I registered here last 2017 these new coins/token there is no stopping them they keep popping out every week or month. Just DYOR about these new projects.

New projects is just a normal thing. Whether with the btc hype or not. It's up to us how can we react to this kind of projects. We should always DYOR to spot if the new project is legit or not. Since we are aware that new projects can be fail or success, it is our duty to go through about their platforms, teams, etc before joining any of them. From that, we can totally spot some fraud and legit new projects before trusting and joining.

I am still of the opinion that the current state of the market is not conductive for new projects. Investors are vary about them, due to the proliferance of scam projects. Even now there is no change to this situation and many of the new projects are turning out to be scams. Until the situation gets better, I am staying away from these new projects and the ICO market.
