The bull run is unlikely to happen this year, the market has not yet fully recovered from a long fall, now the market needs at least a year to prepare for the bull run.

The top 200 I think is too far away for us to choose from. many choices and of course it will be difficult if we study it one by one. try BNB or ETH, you can also LTC. first, study the market charts and their development before you start investing.

I am not sure when investing in Litecoin because this coin has been largely forgotten for a long time and the developer of the project has sold all the shares and until now there is not much news regarding this coin. You can choose to invest according to your preferences because the price of Litecoin is very cheap but be careful because this coin is usually in the price of Bitcoin so if Bitcoin cannot increase then Litecoin will only be a shitcoin.

I wonder if there is an infographic somewhere to evaluate the behavior of the top ten on the fall that happened? It seems to me that most of the coins fell synchronously.

Majority of the suggestion here is for ETH and I think that is a good idea. I assume that OP already have a bitcoin and that is why he’s looking for a great altcoin to invest for. If I’m going to choose between ETH and LTC, I will go for ETH because of its technology and I believe it will grow more in time, LTC seems not moving after the halving that’s why it remains below ETH.

It seems like the two partners above agreed that the best choice would be between Ethereum and LTC. but I also conclude that for the best choice, of course it cannot be denied that ethereum is still the best and is highly recommended to be held as an investment. because ethereum has been very tested in all the difficulties that occur and can be relied upon. so that many investors still hold for investment.

Yes new members are most possibility to find out reliable coin and it’s will more difficult for one specific coin. But top 20( not top 50 or 100 coins i would not suggest) altcoins might be good for future, there's a lot of safety i think. In December 2018, ETH cost about $ 85. And the external conjuncture was not as terrible as it is now. I do not see any obstacles for ETH to fall below $ 50 while the global crisis continues. At the moment, I would refrain from investing in any altcoin, the bottom is still to come.

Investing in popular altcoins are a wise decision (atleast for me) because we have an assurance that this coin is not going to be a shitcoin if you hold it for long period. Thus its advisable specially for newbies to choose a well-established coin because their worth is already proven. But it doesnt mean new coins popping are bad and has no potential, it depends and needed an extensive research because we'll never know it might be another shitcoin created by a greedy dev.

very accurate action if you decide to recommend the top atcoin to invest because that is the best thing to do. because all altcoin is still affected by bitcoin when bitcoin rises, the one who immediately moves is top altcoin first. if you want one altcoin for investment that you will set as a reference, then nothing else is still best until now is ethereum.
