I wouldn't say bears took over, if you notice the price charts, you will realize that there has been dumps and pumps between hours and days.
And it happens to bitcoin too, because yesterday, bitcoin went to 5800+ only to go over 6000+ without informing anyone lol.

In my opinion the ethereum price decline is due to the price of bitcoin falling to $ 5,000. If the price of Bitcoin rises again above $ 10k, I think the ethereum price will go up because the ethereum price againts Bitcoin still stable

That speculation must applied for last weeks but not for this time as the price of bitcoin is still getting jumped back again. I think that we will not see another huge dump like that again. Bear took control when Coronavirus effect will gone bull take control, right!. Nothing takes control, price only do up and down for Total coinmarketcap value. When you can only Ethereum price dump after dump without moving any altcoins. My point is all top coin especially Bitcoin price only shows bear or bull.

I guess this is just the beginning of the start for ethereum. We all have been waiting for a huge increase because there will be both bitcoin halving which we all assumed would increase the price of bitcoin and if the pair price of btc/eth doesn't change the increase of bitcoins price would equal to ethereum price going up as well.

However now that it is significantly lower, almost half of what it was just a month ago, we could basically say that price will go up a ton more after the hard fork as well from this point. Think about it, without corona it was 250 or so, with halving that could be 350-400, and with hard fork it might be over 500, that is definitely a lot better than we assumed it could ever be. Hopefully that won't take to long and we will get there before we die from the virus .

Don't worry just keep hold, the ethereum price will bounce back if this pandemic ended. While ethereum price is cheap why don't we buy more and hold for long term. Not all the time bear market you know, I believe there will be bullish market after this pandemic.

As far as the whole trading and market is concerned it's always about supply and demand. Markets will always go up and down and it will be bears and bulls in cycles all the time. Although the current downward spiral is something out of the ordinary and it is due to macro economic factors .it will get better.
