Theymos and April fools, 2020 preempt

At least for the past two years on the forum , I have witnessed that Theymos has come up with different mind blowing gimmicks for the April fools day and so many users would fall for the moment getting the whole forum a new discussion and threads apart from the routine bitcoin and crypto talk for like three days to a week.

Therefore exactly a month today, we are going to wake up with another April fools day on the forum.

Let us reminisce on the last gimmicks Theymos played on the forum on April 1 and which one caught you    

Again, what do you think he can come up for this year, let us preempt him. I'm not sure he can offer 0.01btc for every active user or randomly  

Or.... Is Theymos likely to keep quiet as April fools too ?

I have heard that he will disable signatures for few days and he will tell everyone that this will remain permanently.
Or was it that he will disable signatures permanently and tell everyone it will be for few days? Not sure

It's definitely not just you, and it gets worse as you get older (lol).

And like last year, we've got members like OP trying to spoil the fun--April fools jokes work so much better when there's not a community discussion about them.  The element of surprise is key to them working IMO, because there will always be some members who aren't aware of the tradition and will be completely fooled by it.  Thus I think it best if talk about this coming April 1st is kept to a minimum.

The funniest in my experience was when Theymos introduced all those different attributes like "politeness" and all that.  There were a lot of people who took it seriously and flooded Meta with "WTF?" threads.  It's hard to top that, but I'm sure Theymos could do it if he tried.

Maybe solving merit abuse by Removing merit feature (and set everyone's merit become 0 in database), but forget to change rank-up requirement.

Or maybe removing the merit and ranking up every member "temporarily "to a rank they would have been if not for merit system.
This will definitely get the forum more legendary members than envisaged...  lol

- Open a Bitcointalk offspring forum using Epochtalk, and state that, due to technical unsurpassable incompatibilities, account migration is not possible and people must rush there to create their account there, before someone takes their profile name. Alas, all accounts will start from scratch as Newbies., but first earlybirds will be granted a special rank (Nitwit Member).

- Display a message on profiles displaying a list of all suspected Alt accounts of each profile.

- Reinstate all banned accounts for a day, pardoning any account capable of earning 10 (legit) merits during the day.

- This may be feasable: Have all ranks state Newbie and UserName = Guest for the day.

Change forum styling to vomit colors based on something ridiculous, like one's merit score (e.g. if it ends in 3 - you get pink on lime).

Maybe someone's guess might give Theymos harder task for his April 1 job. That could mean unbelievable surprises might be left permanent.

Theymos has a very good sense of humor and every joke he makes us believe in what's going on. I remember how confused I was in the first seconds when I read that KYC was introduced in the forum.   The first thought was to go prepare the documents.

I think it's unrealistic to guess his new joke, but most of all I liked marlboroza's idea with signatures. It would be just a bomb for those who forgot about April Fool's Day.

I think Theymos should just reveal himself as Satoshi on the D-Day and end the CW claim, simple.
