On the other hand I love xiaomi, I have WiFi repeaters, smoke detectors, robot vacuum cleaner, another vacuum cleaner on battery, mobile phones, etc. Everything is so professionally done I just love it. Ok,enough shilling

Regarding the Mi-Band 6, I am tempted for the bigger screen.
Sometimes I struggle with the mention notification on such a small screen as I can't see the whole message.

Looks like no one wants to use Apple products here, namely the Apple Watch. It seems quite expensive and inconvenient to not be able to connect to devices other than Apple, is that why it is not loved here? I am using an Apple Watch series3 that I bought many years ago. Merit announcements have always kept me excited. My friends also told me that they wanted their Mi 5 to have a bigger screen when compared to me. Don't know if Xiaomi plan to fix it? I mean increase its size

Which bot are you using? Majordomo is offline, @giammangiato is very good, but I think it is not constantly mantained.
You should consider switching to @tryninja bot, whic is by far the best one I ever used.
Lots of features, constantly updated, quick turnaround in case of any problem:

Oh boy!! I am the only one different in the hairy wrist notification party. I've got a circular shaped smartwatch 

This is actually from my dad's unused Amazfit Pace smartband that I used to set-up in order to get that notification from TryNinja's bot. Fortunately, though, now is the only time I got the snapshot for the merit/mentioned notification. The only downside of using this amazfit pace is that it is not supported by an AMOLED screen which makes it looks dim especially during daylight.

You'll just need to use zepp by huami to be able to customize the setting of the smart swatch

I just signed up for Tryninja's bot, hoping I get a good experience with it  
LoL, admittedly, it was hard for me to save the picture once I received the notification. As a fate, every time I get a notification, I have to be doing something that I can't get my hands free to take a pictures

Ya, how do you think about adding a single apple watch to your exercise set here? Is it the only apple here? I used Tryninja's bot as your suggestion, and great, I caught this moment when I was free. No latency in bot announcements, it's really cool, it's different from all the other bots

I've just got Mi Band 6 less than a week ago. I like it, but I guess that I'm missing something in the settings.

The messages from the Telegram bot come to my band twice.
WhatsApp messages are, on the other hand, not doubled.
Any idea why's that?

Really Strange.
Are you using an iPhone or an Android paired with this band? It never happened to me with both Mi Band4 and 5.
Try deselecting the  notifications and turn those back on, probably the phone is sending twice to the band because two channels are activated.

Anyway, I am mumbling about upgrading to the Mi6, just because... you know.. this thread!

I can't advise on that, I usually buy stuff when I need it or the old breaks, not because it's new (or new version)

I have Android phone, an older Redmi, so the compatibility should be great (I hoped). Just it's Android 8.1
I've stopped the notifications for Telegram and one came onto phone and not band - good.
I've started the notifications again on the band and .. they're get doubled again.

Oh well, if anybody finds out why, please write and add my name so I get notified (twice!).

I am stating the obvious here but: did you updated the miBand firmware to the last version? You can do that trough the accompanying app.
I couldn't find anything on Google about this, apart from suggestion of installing shady apps, or,  updating the firmware (something you should do, anyway).

As soon as the companion app got installed and the band got paired, the update has started. I don't even remember if I had to approve/acknowledge/click anything for that

It's not sorted, but I don't understand the rule yet.
I don't think that's the bot, since in the actual Telegram I get the information/text only once.

Update after 32 days of use:

Notifications:
* The duplicate notifications for Bitcointalk/Telegram no longer happen that often, especially after the last update of Xiaomi Wear app
* More annoying "duplication" of notifications happen with the e-mails (they keep coming until I remove the notification from the phone)
* All in all, it looks to be a bunch of bugs in Xiaomi Wear app, not with the bot or the other apps

Overall use:
* I like its faces and colors, you can play with them, but still the default few ones are easier to read (+)
* The transfer of data between the smart band and wear app is slooooow and only happens if you open the app (look into it). (-)
* Continuous hearth rate check is interesting to have, but unfortunately blood pressure check is missing.
* The battery lasts some 6 days, but I usually charge after kinda 5 days already

From a band 3 I've seen, the step forward is clearly noticeable, but I cannot tell that it's <so> big... It's just a smart band after all  


PS. SPO2 is "on demand" and I've used it some 5 times all together. Didn't look too accurate either...

I can confirm the data transfers from and above all to the smart band are painfully slow.
I didn’t experience issues with the double notifications, or any major issue with the associated app. Hence I find puzzling you actually seeing a worsening situation. Maybe this things, born to be simple and cheap, are becoming too complicated and cumbersome…

If this doesn't happen to you, then it may be an incompatibility between the bracelet and my phone which is 3 years old, although also Xiaomi.
And maybe I wasn't clear enough; it's not worse than one month ago, it's better, excepting basically only the e-mails which I may exclude from the band's notifications.

Sorry for the confusion: what I meant is I can confirm data transfers are slow on my MI-Band 5 as well!
