Do you remember who sent you the first Merit?

I couldn't remember exactly who gave me first merit without checking (it was user bkbirge but i remember it was in the thread about moon landing, and some ridiculous people claiming it was all fake. I must admit that it felt very good, getting the first merit despite being just an ordinary post, but most importantly  it was certainly and incentive and proof that getting merit is not an impossible mission and set me onto the next goal, 10 merits.
Next  few merits were also  in the Politics&Society board that i was visiting a lot at the beginning of my bitcointalk adventure, but lately I stopped spending any time there writing, mostly just lurking.

I don't even need to check. I still can remember the early days here. It was Ddmrddmr who merited me for the first time. It was really a great motive to share something useful for the community.

I don't remember exactly who gave it to me but it was for my decision to help newbies gaining merits and if I'm not wrong, it was TMAN who initiated this merit thing for me and I'm grateful to them for giving it to me for the first time. I'd also like to thank my (formerly but still) fellow Chipmixer team who always liked and motivated my work with their merits showered on those posts.

I remember very well my first merit and not only that but also my first 2 merits I received them for the 10th Anniversary Art Contest, from Mitchell and nakamura12. The 3rd one came from yogg, for another contest (Design the 10 years of BitcoinTalk commemorative ColdKey). Thank you all!

And I also remember the first merit I sent: I gave it to theymos, for the topic The Bitcoin Forum is 10 years old.

Last year on the 10th anniversary of this forum an art submission contest was started by theymos where I got my first merit by theymos as well because the merit was given by theymos so it's definitely unforgettable thanks to him and others as well.

Indeed the description of this section says "Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum". If you have seen a bug, this is the right section. If you have a suggestion to improve this forum, this is the right section. For banning, for problems with moderation, this is the right section. A question about the functioning of merits, Trust system, you're in the right place. It's okay for all types of stats too.

But what's the point of knowing who sent you your first merit ?

It's like the self-satisfaction topics ("my way to member/Full member/etc..."), it was fine for the first 3-4 topics, but it multiplied quickly.

If we focus strictly on which threads can be opened in Meta, you are right, but you should apply it to everyone. No one has complained about the thread, you can see the responses of the users. I will tell you more, if this thread opens it, any recognized user would have no problem.

Ofcourse, I remember my first merit and everyone who gave me the rankup merit. My first merit was from eternalgloom. Gave me 3 merits for Libra - the Good, the Bad & the Ugly
My first merit send would be to LoyceV for answering my question regarding Vanitygen and promoting me to Member rank  
Heisenberg Hunter ranked me up to Full Member by meriting few of old posts on my Birthday.
JSRAW ranked me up to Sr.Member by meriting my post in PSL 2020 pool discussion.
I don't remember me ranking up anyone though
