Those coins going 400% or more is very likely to be suspicious of of problems. While there are many coins that grow big in price with time but some others are pump and dump. If you check coinmarketcap lists of coins with biggest prices on the site and show as that high level increase in a short time, you can very wel be sure that it will be pump and dump.

Although if you are lucky to hold such a coin from low price you will get a good return on selling it at this price.

As my experience I was saw more coins in crypto market that coins can get more trading volume within few hours or in a day due to,  those coins are pumped by pump and dump groups to trap the investors. or some time we can see technical issues with getting proper data from the exchanges.

If the coins are pumped by a group of people to trap the investors, then the value will not last long and that is one of the mistakes of the developers who allow them to set the trap, because the coins that are pumped by a group of people obviously will not advance or survive in long term.

Those type of pumps belongs to pump and dump coins so I don't have interest in such projects, I'm better off with making profits from top or popular coins

That's more like playing games than trading and we will never grow that way.

With the reality that majority of the altcoins does not have a good volume or listed in big exchange, we can always find coins with significant increase or decrease, they will pump and dump and they will likely attract the newbie to be victim that will just end up to be a bag holder.

99% it will be a fake price bump from particular exchange but when we see the trading volume it even less than one using price s actually there is no trading happening and all thes was to trap some investors who urge to buy without even checking any other things than its price bump.

Having volume and buyers doesn't mean that the token will be a success... at least in my experience I have found that the success of a project depends on many things, most of them are behind the scenes and/or out of our control... so I'm ususally not after the pumps, because on the vast majority of times, they will be followed by dumps...
Besides, a project that grows steadily due to it's product and use cases, will be a much better investment on the long run

Those who are in the business trading signals have this capabilities, they manage to give tips to their groups creating artificial pumped that make
fomos to buy in and ride with it, the short growth make the  pumpers got a lots of profits, as they are always blind traders who are only after with

You really asked good questions, this issue of volume can be quite deceiving especially on shit exchanges. There was a time I held a token and I found out it was pumping, I didn't fully checked the exchange only to send the token and found out the truth, it wasn't a true pump and the orders were nothing to write home about. When a token pumps on good exchanges everyone tends to know and most times it might last a while but on shit exchanges the pump and dump might happen in a few minutes and that's it, most will turn to bag holders. Therefore just like you said, lets always endeavour to check out the neccessary things before being overwhelmed with coins that are pumping.

i agree with this statement not only traders can manipulate price , sometimes its the owner of the exchange manipulating it then sell to those traders that will set a buy order's because they think it will increase more in price and it will give them profit in short time, without knowing that its just a trap.

in my opinion the best step is to ascertain whether the coin has a large potential to continue to grow and has a large volume by looking at the number of users. remember the number of users will have a big effect on the number of transactions that can raise the price of a coin.

Yes, because usually the coins pumped by a group of people clearly will not increase in volume, because it was deliberately made to trap investors and traders, and I strongly agree that everyone should stay away from coins like this.

If that happens within 24 hours, we can assume that there is no good trading volume, traders can manipulate a coin in a certain exchange with low volume so we need to be aware of that, and even the exchange itself, those who are not reputable, they are faking the volume to show some action but since the pump is just due to pure manipulation, what would happen is, what comes up must go down.

Manipulation often occurs in one of the coins, it's just that we don't realize that the coin is being manipulated by someone whether it's the developer or the traders who do it.

Sometimes I see some traders who go up in short time while in the market volume is a bit manipulated.

in the last 2 years, there were very few such coins and they were very risky. I bought one coin. I don’t remember what it was called, but this coin had permanent pumps on the BiteBTC exchange. I bought it and sold it and in a few days I earned about 2 thousand dollars on it, but when I wanted to withdraw money, they blocked the withdrawal and then a month later I understood that it was a scam exchange. therefore, you should always understand that high profit is always a very high risk

if in my opinion it's only a pump and a dump, there's no way a coin can go up so high without a reason, if it's like an old coin and an increase above 500% maybe it's still reasonable.like btc, eth, ltc, neo, xrp.

There are 1000s of coins and tokens being traded across 100s of exchanges and coinmarketcap kind of ranking/listing services pick only 20% of them hence missing out drastic pump things are most common in this crypto space. I remember basic attention token raised up 3000%  within the 3 weeks of time span but due to lack of strong signal from my technical analysis, I did not touch them. Anything may happen in this crypto space but only something happening with reputed coins, we may make use of them or enjoying the full benefit of them.

Lol...you are right. Most times when we see coins or tokens do 1000+% we are more concerned about how and why we missed out on the pump and we become more saddled. We don't most times check to know if the pump is a real pump or fake. The truth  is, most of this coins/tokens doing 1000+% are fake pumps. I have seen a lot in this category and I often think what is their gains in making fake pumps and manipulations. It doesn't add up.
