The Corona Virus will linger until the end of the year it was predicted by health experts, there were reports that the PLus Token scam dumping their their loot as the main reason they keep on dumping and many articles have covered it, if this is ture this is not goign to last long and the market will eventually recover, not good to create FUD.

It seems like the media aren't helping at all, they are the reason there is panics all around the globe right now, more over how many stock holders or crypto holders died from Coronavirus if I may ask? I guess none so why all this?

We couldn't take media to being set aside nowadays that we're living in a whole different era, wherein people are totally dependent on such platform to gather some information, news, and etc. No matter what the result would it be, helpful or not, it is a fact that we are as well somehow being into it, it is what it is. Anyway, going back to the topic, I couldn't agree more to OP, yes, the virus cause itself literally do have the big factor here causing everyone to panic (well, who would not?) it is just that the people aren't prepared to this event, couldn't act properly that they tend to panic, that leads their behavior on becoming more selfish. What's worse than this? is not the virus itself, but the behavior human presenting.

The stock market is the most affected institution in this recent unfortunate event that happens globally called the covid-19 epidemic because the stock market listed companies such as oil, manufacturing, agriculture, etc it is the important commodities that commonly used by people worldwide. while the cryptocurrency market was also affected but I believe it is just temporary because cryptocurrency is using the internet as a medium to provide the functions so it is not necessary to go outside and make the transaction anyone can make a transaction in the comfort of their home thats why I believe it will be normalized soon.

One of the worst day in crypto I would say, two days ago it was S&P who suffered the most of this epidemic and then crypto today. We can't tell when this is going to stop, bitcoin -20% and ethereum -30% and the bloodshed still continues as I type this message.

We might see another downward spiral and no one can tell when this panic selling will stop. The only thing we can do is wait and hope, and just HODL and don't panic and let everything settles down.

Yep, personally i'm planning to buy some crypto considering it dropped so fast. Normally when a flash crash happens, there's a bounce back upwards, but I do have to say it's pretty alarming to wake up to a -30% drop in Ethereum when I check my wallet(s)

If it goes back to $3k-$4k then that would be an ideal buying point imo, especially with the halving coming up pretty soon

I guess we are still seeing the drop in the entire crypto market. The level of panic in the industry at the moment is insane as people are much more concerned about the status of the virus and when it's going to be controlled. Some people can't go out to cash out of banks hence it is better to sell the cryptos and receive funds into your electronic wallet like paypal etc.

Just think of it as a continuous crisis but there will be a stop. When? I don't know, we don't know but I do have faith that sometime not that far, this crisis will be stopped and antidote will come. My believe is that more and more states are moving towards lock down, like the US with the stopping of flights.
Then this might just be the beginning of very deep down spiral.

You are right. CoinDesk has claimed that the drop was most probably caused by a mass dump of cryptocurrency assets by PlusToken scammers and they have published evidence for their claim. That said, I am not saying that the Coronavirus epidemic has no role in the current bloodbath situation in the cryptocurrency market. It has played its role and there is a lot of FUD going on in the market right now.

Given that the spread of coronavirus is gaining momentum in central Europe, it can be assumed that the fall will only increase in the next month.

One thing I understand is, there is panic everywhere starting from what Coronavirus did, then over to the oil industry and now the crypto market. But however, in some countries there have been reports of people being stable from this virus, the question is why aren't the news flying around? Nevertheless, about the crypto space, there are speculations of course going around about a particular price of which Bitcoin will drop to before going massive prior to halving but who knows that will happen tomorrow. In my own opinion, the only way is to be steadfast in whatever trade we do, take adequate caution, make good decisions and so on; but one thing is sure, this phase will pass.

I personally don't think it's over just yet because many people have and are continuing to sell off their BTC out of pure fear, though I don't think there'll be another massive candle downwards again like what happened today. People are scared of investments all over the board and not just with crypto, and downwards pressure still remains relatively strong. The virus is still spreading over the globe, and I can only imagine it'll continue to spread in the short term.

I am not worried about myself, I'm not worried about my closest family. I do not visit my grandparent (only have one left). BUT, i am shit scared of what this society panic will cause in terms of economical consequences.

In the stock market, when panic hits everyone sells everything and prices drops. Even my "Health care sector ETF" which should be sky rocketing (right?) is plummeting. Shouldn't the health care sector benefit from this?
But I would have hoped that the crypto market shouldn't have beeen "infected" by the corona fear, but obviously it did.

In crypto there is no bottom, there are no fundamentals, so whois to say they prices aren't going to drop even harder than the regular financial market!?

This is a pretty bad situation since Covid 19 affected various trading markets. This is a global problem and its effects are broad. Now crypto gets the worst impact, especially BTC, this is one of the biggest single-day falls Bitcoins during 2015-2020. At the beginning of February, there were no significant effects like what happened on the stock market, but today this fear is really happening. Although it does not directly affect, Covid 19 really has a big domino effect on all economic markets, it is really worrying. But we must stay calm, don't panic. There is a possibility that prices will fall again, but there is also hope for a bounce, even though it has to be longterm, so let's be patient, hopefully halving the moment gives good hope.

The pandemic could have just been a coincidence. Some people might be taking advantage of Corona, to cause more panic, because they are looking for the opportunity, to keep buying low and selling high. I am sure no one would be able to predict where the price is likely to stop, most especially the lowest point before it picks up again. fIf it were to be corona, it would have caused a lot of dumps, the week it was announced. extreme fear not happen in around the world. finance market colapse when investors prefer to sell their assets and hold fiat. corona recovery will need long time to finish, everyday in any countries occur new cases and this i that make all people feel fear. maybe it will finish when medicine to stop virus.

Not sure if the current crypto drop is due to corona or something else. Corona would impact the real world economy much more adversely than the crypto market.
With corona spreading in US and Europe the damage would be larger. US and Europe has been running on a built up system and if it gets destroyed, it would be hard for them to recover and could take years. China and other asian economy on the other hand if could contain the virus in similar way, would come back as a great economy.
