Based from what I have observed in several countries the problem I see here is if the Nation's government hasn't acted out in response to the pandemic for some businesses and organizations they will still try to run their operations normally and call is "business as usual", hate to see these kinds of events and businesses only seeing profit rather than looking out the well-being of their employees as well as there event goers. France only commenced there national lockdown during March 17 so a lot of businesses and events still push through even though they know the danger they have in their country. However we can't really blame this event in particular for them being infected, France already have a lot of confirmed cases even on the first month of 2020 so we cannot really say that this event is the origin of the infection, it's even possible that they are already silent carriers of the virus even before the event started.

These People must provide for the expenses of the participants of the event that being infected.

I'm just curious, if they will be blame for this, are they going to be charge for their negligence? Is there a specific law on that?
What I explain is that, the government should not only issue a warning, they should issue a directives and anyone who caught violating it, should be punish.

Also, yes, the vaccine is a treatment to make the body immune from certain diseases, however, it is not a treatment if someone already is suffering from the disease.

So why they are still calling it vaccine if its not a treatment as many people already been suffering from the disease? Anything that can reduce, or prevent suffering from a disease could be labeled as treatment hence the definition will be invalidated. The government where the venue is might not even be aware of that event nor interested of checking it. As long as they were given the permit, the responsibility should be passed to the organizers. Everyone is aware of the pandemic and they should be the one giving warning to the participants that even they will continue the event, there's no assurance for their health safety. I solely think that it's the organizers that must be the one to decide to stop or continue such events.

This is very irresponsible of the conference organizers and the Parisian Ethereum community. It might have been ok to give them excuse if the conference was on January or February. However, on March, it is a certainty that all conferences and mass gatherings should be declared dangerous.

Oh my goodness!!!! How could they have gathered for such a conference? Probably many positive cases have not been reported in France then. We just have to wish them a very quick recovery.

This is the height of carelessness, both the invitee and the invited... This is not a period to gather for functions, meetings or party. What needed to be discussed there that can't be postponed till when the crises is over. Anyway, the deed is done, those with symptoms should self isolate, test and try possible treatments. BTW, I hope this will not be a problem with ethereum market..
