"This is not hype, this is not hysteria, this is the cold hard truth and the reality that we now find ourselves in, quarantines, restrictions, travel bans are coming to North America, to the World and if you don’t prepare now, you may be horribly caught off guard in regards to what is coming next.
I have been working in the financial industry for over a decade, with my specialty being geopolitics, political upheaval and precious metals.
This has led me to learn first hand about what can unfold during various forms of panic, collapse and general unrest. Unfortunately, we are about to enter into one of these periods of time.
Those who are tuned into the zeitgeist of what is unfolding have already been preparing, have already stocked up and will generally weather the coming storm without any financial or personally ramifications. You too can do so and will likely make it through to the other side largely unscathed, however, your window of opportunity is sadly running out rapidly.
If you have not prepared in any way, shape or form, you need to do so as soon as possible. You may have less than a week to act. At the very least, ensure you have the following..."Click here to read more:

Quarantine doesn't mean you don't have access to food mate. You don't need to buy a ton of crap now for no reason.

You are assuming the supply chains will continue working. Even if you can buy food, you should limit the number of trips you make to the store.

That is a bold assumption. It's not an assumption, we are under quarantine here in Spain and everyone has access to food. You can go to work as well.

One of the biggest problems here is that certain companies are not going to be able to keep up supply and they're not going to increase supply as they know that this demand boost is temporary. I'm going to use the stupid example of toilet paper for a second, just for examples sake.
Think of toilet paper companies for a second, they're not going to want to want to increase supply massively to keep up with demand because there is most likely a large amount of money that would go into increasing supply. This sort of demand increase isn't from something that's sustainable -- like a population increase -- it's from something which isn't, which is a crisis that will end at some point. This means that at a certain point, if this goes on for long enough, stores are going to run out of certain products (maybe not toilet paper in particular, but yeah) and they're not going to be replenished very swiftly because the companies dont want to waste product if this ends abruptly (as it could, we're literally day by day at the moment)
That's my little take on the matter.

And the past guarantees the future does it? The standard procedure states that you are allowed to buy food, go to hospitals or even work when in quarantine like the current one. Unless your government goes nuts and tries to become a dictatorship, you will be fine.

Even if one does truly love Big Brother and there is no doubt in one's mind that He will always provide by turning water into wine or keeping your car running for 7 days on one day's worth of diesel... ...one can buy non-perishable stuff that one is eventually going to use just to hedge against inflation. Laundry soap, plastic bags, etc, etc. These things can also make good trading stock or simply be given away to a neighbor who was less prepared just in case Big Bro doesn't live up to one's expectations.

Yeah, let's buy all the toilet paper like idiots so older people and others who didn't have access to stores can't buy any.

Toilet paper is not something people start using more because there is a crisis. So once everyone fills up their basement/garage/whatever with it - hoarding will taper off. If I was a TP mogul I'd be planning to reduce the supply in a few months. On the other hand (pun intended), hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial wipes, even soap - these items will probably experience higher demand for quite a while. An increase in supply could be needed and could be quite profitable for those companies that can do it. Food items probably fall somewhere in between. You can hoard only so much canned food, but groceries in general will be in higher demand in places where restaurants are closed.

I hoarded food supply for 2-3 weeks but can't keep hoarding more than that. And perishable items don't even last for 3 weeks (mostly a week or more). I have medicines too.
Grocery shops are already 90% empty so looks like all people have successfully prepared themselves for quarantine before a lockdown is declared.

Actually, let's buy toilet paper and, like decent people, to give away as needed before the profiteer slimeballs who wish to mark it up and sell it at inflated prices get it all. Oh I forgot. Your beloved Big Brother, by micro-managing 'the collective', is the one who will handle that. Don't need or want some mere decent individual stepping on His toes, right?

What good does being "allowed" to buy food do you if there is none to buy because the supply chain shut down, or because it is prohibitively expensive?

Here, the government has stated that the supply chains will continue working, at least at a national level and will not shut down. It is also illegal to massively pump up the prices of basic and needed items for humans.
