That's nonsense. Mortality rate seems higher than flu, and the R0 value that represents how contagious it is also seems higher. The main factor however is that there is no pre-existing immunity. This is why it is sweeping through whole populations; there is no brake from the people who are immune because they have had it before - no-one has had this before. And you can't compare death stats of covid-19 with prior year flu because the covid-19 pandemic is in progress right now, numbers will climb massively from current levels.

I don't know if I would go as far as nationalization of industries, though I do think certain government (unsure on if the US will go this far) on telling their industries that they desperately need them to make certain goods. This would kinda be like a war time economy, where the government is telling industry that they need certain goods made. In a war time it is more forecful, but who knows what will happen when we're in a time of chaos and panic and people need certain things.

A lot of people just look at the two figures for a) how many people each infected person passes the virus to, and b) the mortality rate for those that have the virus.
Whilst these are important, the huge difference between COVID-19 and normal flu is that normal flu has a lot of pre-existing immunity, which has a huge effect on limiting the spread. Whereas with something like COVID-19, no-one has had it before, there is no immunity, and so it sweeps through the population.

Doctors and the medical have enough trouble taking care of patients. Do something, like doctors and the medical always do, and get government out of it. Government is making it worse, besides destroying the world economy.

Who is 'the' (singular) 'forum healthcare worker'?  That e_o_l_e_o guy?  Claims to be a doctor but there is no way to know.  Sure he has more science skilz than most of the bozos on this board, but that's not saying much.  I don't think I've seen anything he said which wasn't standard faire that one can find anywhere on the net.

Also his posting history indicates that he's got plenty of free time between seeing all those covid-19 patients to dick around on bitcointalk 'helping' folks find 'coin mixers' and set up 'secure wallets'.

So many people are so easy to scam with the simplest psychological devices.  Oh well.

As for the vids, I've seen some clips with all beds full in a three bed room and some Italian doctor or nurse saying she is tired, but frankly speaking, if one took away the breathless commentary and only had the vids to look at one would be hard pressed to notice anything indicating overload conditions.  One fairly effective form of psy-ops is to show video of fairly ordinary conditions and having people _talk_ about some hurricane, shooting, etc.  When a person is talking about a disaster, that is what sheeple watching the footage see.  A technique I use is to take a pass at this stuff tuning the dialog out completely and just studying what I see in the video/imagery only.
