The virus can be easily transmitted in crowd places, it is possible to be infected when you have close contact with another person. They are just being concerned on the health of the players, shutdown is the best option because covid19 is life-threatening. China's news yesterday was very positive, its the first time that no one was reported to be infected.  It could be a that they have finally prevented it from spreading in their area and that means they got a tight preventive measures and animal restrictions. The virus may not have infected horses or dogs but it never hurt to prevent the horse racing for now since the events will make the people gather thus giving the chance for virus to spread thru it.

As long as the corona pandemic still cannot be resolved, the restriction will always be there, rather than expecting a reduction in restriction, why not expect the coronavirus to disappear faster and I think it will be much better if compared to just selfishness now is not the right way because apply restriction for a few months longer or sooner, still we just need to be patient and wait and hope everything gets better.

I don't think so.
In my local, the most popular cricket league IPL has been postponed and the governing body is yet to come to a fix date. There's no certain time frame when it may start although some say it will be around last of April but the way Covid19 is spreading I doubt it will be easy to start within 1 month. I guess it will exist much longer than we are expecting it to be.

Its indefinite. therefore, we should really expect that this would really extend if we cant see any signs of slowing down of progress of corona virus.
As long it wont get resolved then its expected that this would extend out and this wont only affect sports industry but others as well.
Lets hope that this wont get worst even more.

A very interesting thing in Italy is that related to football. friendly matches in esports have been set up, and people like it.

they are now thinking of making official matches, a sort of virtual championship (esport)

It would be somewhat understandable if esports would become virtual or would proceed or doesnt totally postponed yet

Yes, even our local horse racing event here are being cancelled as well. 4-5 days of horse betting, 6 pm - 9 pm of weekdays/12 pm - 6 pm of weekends, damn lot of racing I'm going to missed.

However, health concern is very important, more than 200 cases here, almost 20 have died from ncovid-19 pandemic, so I'm ok not betting on one of my favourite past time.
