yahoo62278 limped preflop, so i shoved AQs. he called with J9s. i'm out in 4th! at least i made it ITM.

it was over quick once we were ITM. Iv4n took 3rd and Betwrong took 2nd.

yahoo62278 won the tourney and obviously also the last longer, well done! 0.005 BTC coming your way via SwC transfer soon. please confirm once received!
Side bet money received, let me know when the next game is and i'll be sure to hop in. Can we take a vote on maybe starting an hour later?

Looks like it was a solid tournament all around. Disappointed I couldn't get in on this one but, I'll be there next time.
I almost let my inner degen out and set an alarm for 4 hours after bedtime this morning... thought the better of it.  Seeing how long it ran probably for the best... probably  Grin

I did however finally play an hour of micro cash games to earn my krill and my next buy-in... micro staked crusher lol

Congrats Yahoo on the win, and to everyone else who cashed and/or had fun.

Congratulations to all winners and especially @yahoo62278, well done. I couldn't get anything going, just one of those days/tables Tongue Some bad (non-)decisions and when I finally had some sort of a hand, lady luck wasn't on my side - happens. Thats why we love poker, huh ? Grin

@figmentofmyass

I know efialtis had something planned/arranged with Sportsbet for next week. He is among those users, that were banned 7 days for that Tron giveaway, so maybe you could get in contact with him via Telegram, before you set up the next tournament on SwC. You can find his TG handle in his profile here.

I think it's just good at SwC nothing much to do on sign-ups and they really have great table besides there are already 3 tourneys held there and not much of an issues. By the way, congratulations for the win @shipdschips.

In case you, guys, wondering, here's the result of the final showdown:

What I can't understand now is why did we, both of us, decide to play with such pocket cards, in the first place? Smiley

Anyways, it was a great game! Thanks, everyone, for participating!

In the hopes of adding a little bit more fun to our game, I'm setting the Bad Beat Prize, 0.0025 BTC.

lol, BBJ on a little private game, nice! Cheesy

I'm glad you like it. Smiley

When creating a thread for the next tournament, please include the rules in the OP, I'm going to hold it for the next game too. Also, others are welcome to join in. If 0.0025 BTC isn't big enough to make it attractive, we together can make it 0.01 BTC or higher, can't we? Smiley

Again, GG, everyone!

I don't know about others, but I was playing at the top of my abilities. I almost fainted when the game was over. But what a game it was!

Congratulations to everyone who made it far esp to yahoo for winning! I entered late, but anyway realized very soon that I would not be able to play for long so I went all-in a few times in a stretch. Totalled out 2 players before I got totalled out myself, so it was sort of interesting to see.

Is there a way to somehow make the timeouts faster? Like 10 seconds should be more than enough;)

tbh i don't have telegram. can anyone reach out? will he be back before the weekend?

i'm aiming for april 5th (sunday after next) on SwC. i could use a week off from organizing these. Tongue

i think full house beaten by four of a kind is a bit loose. iirc, most online BBJ require beaten quads to qualify. if full house qualifies, it should be minimum AAATT+. what do you think? https://www.pokerlistings.com/strategy/general-poker/the-truth-about-bad-beat-jackpots

i could probably donate 0.0025 BTC to the cause.

I don't know about others, but I was playing at the top of my abilities. I almost fainted when the game was over. But what a game it was!

that bubble was intense. Cheesy

i'm not sure. probably not, but maybe we could speed up the blind levels by a couple minutes. i'm partial to slower structures because turbos usually turn into donk shove fests, but i'll go with what the crowd wants.

That's not how it is done. You should treat it as a relaxing thing not a chore. I make myself a nice cocktail or stock a fridge full of beers and then it is enjoyment time. As soon as my ass started hurting from that much sitting I went in high risk game and lost soon after that. But that is what works for me. Stakes weren't big and I got almost 3 hours of good fun out of it.

I'll be participating in all tournaments while this Corona lock down lasts so weekly tournaments would suit me just fine. Just need to get chat working before next one. Have to use the time before life gets to normal.

Yes, you are absolutely right, the rules for the BBJ are tighter, normally. But I intentionally made it easier to qualify for the prize, because otherwise it could take like 20 years until it happened in our tournament.

It's like mining difficulty, in a way: the more active miners around, the higher it is. If the number of miners drops, the difficulty drops as well.

If the number of participants in our tournament rises to many hundreds, we can always make an adjustment. Smiley

i could probably donate 0.0025 BTC to the cause.

That would be great. Thank you! Smiley

In my opinion, we don't need escrow for that. But I'm open to suggestions.

yahoo62278 limped preflop, so i shoved AQs. he called with J9s. i'm out in 4th! at least i made it ITM.

it was over quick once we were ITM. Iv4n took 3rd and Betwrong took 2nd.

yahoo62278 won the tourney and obviously also the last longer, well done! 0.005 BTC coming your way via SwC transfer soon. please confirm once received!

Ahah, that was nice. I also had full house one time, but not so epic (i don't remember exact cards, that's bad) and was fun to see how guys increased bets  Cheesy

Also, i've lost because i don't use great chance to win: after @BitcoinGirl.Club started to bet all-in, i got hand with two jacks (already one pair at hand) and don't supported his bet :c

But for example with yahooo i won with a hand of two "tens"

P.S: yep, of course congratulations for yahoo62278!

glad to see you back dude! i'll be stuck inside all weekend, except for maybe a beer/grocery run. i'll be there. Smiley

I am going to think about joining in up on the next one .

~3.5 hours. someone suggested speeding up the structure a bit, so the games will go quicker. i'm not sure how everyone feels about that. let us know what you think in the discussion thread.

i'll add you to the PM list so you'll get a notified about the next game and password.

Yes, you are absolutely right, the rules for the BBJ are tighter, normally. But I intentionally made it easier to qualify for the prize, because otherwise it could take like 20 years until it happened in our tournament.

true, at any single 2-3 table tournament, the odds are quite low. quads > full house is okay.

In my opinion, we don't need escrow for that. But I'm open to suggestions.

i think we can be trusted for 0.0025 BTC each. it's not worth escrowing because it could be weeks or months before the BBJ gets hit.

I think due to the fact that most players are still sorta learning the game, the blinds going faster would work against them. I'm ok with the current levels or faster levels, but I don't want others not joining due to fear of having to play too fast.

@foma will you make another thread for this weekly tournament because if you will I may translate that one on my own language if people will be interested on it.

I'm okay with the faster blinds in fact I want it since I am always playing late over than anyone on the tourney, even 5 seconds will work.

i think @efialtis is setting up next weekend's game at sportsbet.io:

About this weekend: Sportsbet guys told me they are setting up something "special" for us and thats why Id love to play there this Sunday.

so he's probably gonna do the thread too. i'm expecting him to announce it soon. i'm gonna update the PM list and turn it over to him.

I'll keep posted and I'll try to get people on my local if I can or if there are poker players out there.

I'll be expecting it soon and will wait for the PM too.

Also, i've lost because i don't use great chance to win: after @BitcoinGirl.Club started to bet all-in, i got hand with two jacks (already one pair at hand) and don't supported his bet :c
Well I had not much clue in that match but the time has changed now. I am more into this game and I believe I made good improvement knowing when to do what. I have been trying to play it since then in a Facebook app and now I am as good as the opponents in the table.

I could not join today's one since the app was not loading in my browser but in the SWC poker I am in and this time I will have good run. Watch for me 😋
