I have always wondered what category bounty/signature hunters should be classified under. Some people from countries like mine live/depend on bounties or signature, I know some people that do this.
Should they be called freelancers, or online promoters?

Probably both. Promoting services and websites through freelancing. Are there people who really live off signature campaigns though?! Would be pretty understandable for a ChipMixer campaign member, but the rest are offering pretty low rates for a living... Moreover, I've had many periods of time in which I've had no signature campaign to join. What do you do in that case? Smiley

Just put it all under freelance as a safe and broad answer, as we're mostly doing gigs on Bitcointalk anyway, and it's much less of a "job". Pretty safe to assume that majority of us here are earning on Bitcointalk only as part-time income.

Poor countries my man, think Venezuelans and such.

"Venezuela just hiked its minimum wage 67% but a month of work still can’t buy 1 kg of beef"[1].

What you categorized as low rate is seen as huge money in some countries. I'm in a campaign that pays me 45$ weekly and that's huge amount here.

That's why they have to save incase of future. You shouldn't spend too much if you depend mostly on bounties/signature. And I think most people that hunt bounties and signatures are students IMO.

I think that is the wrong choice because until now we have not been able to target how much money can be generated in the forum through signature campaigns or bounty to meet the needs of daily life.

Should they be called freelancers, or online promoters?
I feel confident that a freelancer is a wise choice for everyone. Even if you know them, then I think you should advise him to have a real job and they can also get extra from the forum and make it extra income (if promoting a campaign or others).

And I think most people that hunt bounties and signatures are students IMO.
Students (under 16 years old) do not need to rush to think about ways to get money because it will interfere with them in terms of learning activities. A student who has been able to make money independently in my opinion the potential to become students who excel may be smaller than students who focus on learning.

it depends on the project they are advertising but from what i have seen i could categorize 90% of them are scammers because the majority of these bounty projects they were advertising were scams and if someone helps a scammer rip people off then they are considered as an accomplice specially since their advertisement could have led to many newbies falling for such scams.

There is a FOMO brewing...

There is a difference between being "Paid" and "Rewarded".
Signatures/bounties aren't a job, even if you tell me some people are making a living on it, I don't care, it's the same. And I can tell a lot of them are doing a pretty shit job so, considering all generic/shit posts.
If you feel yourself a "promoter" or "freelancer", call it whatever you want. Show me your invoices and bills related to it. Show me your registration numbers, etc and of course the taxes that come with.

Yes, I also want to talk about this difference  Wink You apply to a signature campaign, you are selected to wear their signature and get paid permanently. It is different from being free to join a bounty campaign and to promote our project for free. Then, they reward you for something, it can be of high value, it might just be a pile of trash  Wink They all make money, but it's different levels, one side has a binding, the other side has nothing

Partly agreed on this as in my local section i am keep reading posts that they are students that being thankful to gain at least allowances for their schools from Bounties here.

so for me this can be categorized as FreeLancing because there are no limit in our time as we will decide when or where to posts.

Everyone starts from scratch. No job is worthless. Everything has its own value. I started my carrier from very low job sections like faucet, captcha typing etc. But I learn a lot from my experience. Finally I found this forum useful for earing money online. I think most of the people working on bounty or signature are just students. But you can earn a lot if you work full time and in wider audience in the digital world.

You are right that there is no restriction in posting here Everyone can post anywhere as they wish However only those who work online are often regarded as freelancing but there is a lot of time spent working. Signature hunters however are called both freelancing and online publicists.

If doing bounties is your full time source of income, then my friend, you're doing something wrong.
Bounties were intended to be a guerrilla marketing tool for projects, where honest and true supporters would be rewarded for spreading the word.
But, as it always happens when money is involved, it got abused.
90%+ of bounty hunters don't even know what the project is about which they are representing, let alone care for it.

I think that promoters fits better.
Signature campaigns are like marketing so it is more of a promo to the website that you "carry" on your signature.
I wonder in which country you live at and you can make a living from signature campaigns  Grin
The rates are very low in order to make a living from them.

Advertisers don't care what they are promoting. There is no guarantee that potential investors will click on your post. Bounty is poorly developed with very few followers counts. There is no appreciation for higher followers accounts. That's why I say work on part time or as a student. You will learn a lot exploring the digital world.

Promoters will be fit more than freelancer.

The person who bring the company name on their signature and they also do some spamming which aims to antother person see what they also carrying.

And i think,
The person who develope, run, do, build some project out there more fit to called freelancer than promoters.
