Cryptocurrency is always associated with fraud, because a lot of fraud occurs by people who are not responsible in the world of
cryptocurrency. Especially ICO projects are almost 95% scams, it can also be done by small exchanges owners by making fake
volumes for attract investors to buy shitcoins. There are so many deceptive practices in the cryptocurrency world, so be careful
when trading or investment. Do research and analysis before making a decision.
Criminals will always look for any avenue that have loop-holes to perpetuate their dastardly and fraudulent act unfortunately cryptocuencies was being used as the tool in defrauding investors of their hard earn money you said it all here a thorough research is the way forward in avoiding and not falling to all the pranks especially the ever increasing ICOs that receives huge funds from investors and escape into thin air unfortunately cryptocurrencies is decentralized and non regulated that is why scammers always go away scot-free.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Building a simple domain leads to major attacks. As the user enter the site, his data will be log to the system and can be use by the web owner to infiltrate the emails associated to bank or wallet accounts. As it may seem legit at first, most website store data on plain text, allowing them to easily see the credentials. If someone has use this password for other his other accounts, then he might get infiltrated. Cryptos are made for anonymous transactions but that doesn't mean, they can't be traced. A PayPal transaction is already a rich way to track someone. A browser's user agent, ip, navigator, and specially timestamps had help the authorities to detect fraudulent activities. Doubler are the same method except all the deposited money will be redirected to the owner which is bad.

In this present world today the rate of scammers has increased so high, and each day there come up with a new method in which there could  use to scam people, so to avoid being scam we have to be wise and cautious, we need to know that nothing good comes easily, and anything which is too good to be real is scam, let's all try to always get updated because scammers always try any method there could come in contact with.

Scams and frauds will always exist in this world we find ourselves.  Its very sad that people just invest into projects or ICO without analyzing or getting an opinion from another person before putting their money into projects. If you are a careless person in this crypto space, you are more vulnerable of getting scammed.  Also, if you are a greedy person, you will definitely gonna get scammed.

It's very rare to talk about the types of scam before what happens to hacked Twitter accounts.

The publicity from social medias really affects the entire industry inside crypto after that hacked from twitter.

The crypto industry which is known to be safe in its technology, makes fraudsters usually target their users and this is where users have to be very careful when they do business through the cryptocurrency industry.

Hackers don't choose they always targeted where money is residing, the only safe haven to anyone is to be alarmed and
have good securities for their assets and identities.

Because there are still a lot of victims even though by means of fraud that is old school, this happens because users are not so alert and easily trust others. Even though the crypto industry is anonymous.

Old school once bieing collaborated with new styles of hacking it's still being patronized by those who did not find time to
do good research before participating.

Imagine seeing this so-called Project Covid-19 Crypto Coin

Do you think it's legitimate? Would you still invest in these types of projects?

In my thinking This project is fully scam because they used a pendamic name to make this project viral and newbies will invest and at last they will be no where.

So it's very important to make a awareness thread in this forum. Am I right?

In the world today, scammers are everywhere and there are so many of them in crypto, the best way avoid scammers is to be wise and cautious, anything too good to be real is a scam run from it, and we should always get updated because scammers use every method there lay thier hands on .
scammers are the people that are most feared by investors in cryptocurrency and scammers indeed will always be there because they have a variety of ways for deceive the victims it. now many beginners join in crypto world and scammers take advantage of that to fool the beginners. scammers will ever not stop and they cannot be stopped unless the people already know their nature.

They are not actually the "most feared".

If you know how scamming works and how these scammers work, it is not actually a problem. That is why it is necessary to be careful when it comes to projects and ploys that might be a scam.

It is true though that they will never stop. As long as they have those victims to scam, they will continue to develop new ways to scam.

Yes there are many scammers out there, ready to snatch your hard-earned money and we as a BTC  CRYPTO LOVERS  BTC need to be careful and research about the companies policies, history, their payment methods, fees on exchange while trading as well as on withdrawal, their call back request, dispute control and most important is one's own judgment. But some checks are must before trading also these forums are there for unlocking the truth about the company. One needs to understand the core concept and principles of trading before accepting them. Frauds are hard to spot yes, but projects that could bring about profits are much harder. Make sure to join these kinds of forums to stay connected and updated to the Bitcoin community.

From personal experience, I can say that it is becoming more and more difficult to identify fraudsters in advance and protect themselves from them. Even the most seemingly reliable companies disappeared at one moment with millions of investors.
I think we should introduce financial literacy related to cryptocurrencies. Perhaps we should start introducing educational courses or seminars more often to educate and protect those who have just started to build their careers in the field of cryptocurrency.
Perhaps it is time to change the concept of approach and build a real new network (IDYlliUM /Multiversum) that brings together proven and reliable partners with whom it would be safe to build a business.

Nothing is perfect in this world and deception will always be wherever we are, it all depends on being careful and searching for the truth before taking any action.
what we know so far in a project or ICO many end up with losses due to penipun, and all that without analyzing and studying it well before participating and there is also because of greed because it was promised with huge profits and many other reasons and most of them are beginners .
I noticed a trend that the larger the pool of a project, the more likely it is to be a Scam. People are lured by beautiful numbers, and in the end do not pay anything at all. I decided to participate in projects with average payouts, but with a greater guarantee that they will be.

At current days, I see high risk of investment in ICO. Not only that there are scammers, but because many of these projects have some technical deficiencies which makes them fail on the market after some time.

Greetings friends, this is a very important issue since there are many platforms in which they say that they have an incredible percentage of return when they are only waiting for you to deposit your money to scam you, as there are icos that only raise funds and then they all go with it money raised, I recommend that you study more, analyze the project where you will put your money and enter telegram groups or communities to be more informed of what you are doing with your money, greetings

In some extent you are partially right because I noticed that some websites carries wrong information's and such websites that carries such wrong information's is designed for negative purpose.

Its obvious that before we invest in such platform we have to carry out some investigations or observation to verify if the platforms is created because of investment or scam. Its very easy for someone to be scam if the person lacks
a reliable information concerning the platform.

Hi. I don't advise you to get involved with any kind of fraudulent schemes, you can certainly make money, but the risks may not justify themselves. I don't have my personal experience, but I have the experience of several of my acquaintances, as you might guess, a sad experience, and I prefer to learn from other people's mistakes Smiley good luck!

Definitely good to learn from others mistakes and not repeat it, thanks for the reply.  The potential profits is always tempting but then atleast need to have a change at getting them and not just give someone money who disappears after.  If I find any info either good or bad will post here.

Someone can only be scammed when you are not informed,  how can you be informed? Its base on observation and research concerning a particular angle you are getting into, learning is part of observation, prefer to acquire bases of you focus.

Caution is most important and if you don't have any kind of idea and information about something then it is better to stay away from it because of these individuals they surely know what they are doing, prevention is still better in this kind of situation being an individual that doesn't have knowledge with this kind of fraud needs to equip themselves with some information in the past and share what they experience so it will not happen again.

Exactly. Those shared experiences that actually happens to some individuals here serves as cautions or preventions to us who were just new in this Blockchain Industry. Its been hard for us to discern which is legit or scam projects but somehow through those shared informations we are being warned and getting aware through all these frauds along the way in Crypto world.

I really like your information.  The information is very effective and timely.  At the present time Bitcoin forums are filled with bad guys everywhere, they are turning to cheat you all the time.  So we should all be careful, know well about any ICO before working on it.  Bounty Hunters should do a good deal of research on an ICO before being admitted, such as reading their white papers and visiting their websites.  They should work on understanding how loyal they are.

The most important thing is about self-awareness to remain careful to make any transaction, because investment is also part of a transaction that must be full of consideration. We cannot just blame or complain about the development of existing technology, because the development itself is certain to happen from time to time and with that too, at least investors and people in this circle must be able to adjust to be able to make a profit, of course in a way that be more critical in doing a research in order to avoid a fraud.
