Bitcoin Discussion - Corona Virus Spamming

The topics are creates to just discuss about the virus as it's being done on social media/internet in general. Other section are also experiencing this and we hope to see the topic go off once it's over.

The only thing we should be concerned about is plagiarism. Users should be banned if they plagiarize other people's content and post here.

Those topics should be moved to offtopic or trash.
I also noticed several suspicious topics asking for crypto payments, miracle fake anti-virus herbs, apps with fake covid tracking, virus shitcoins... all junk

It's clear that even threads like this one complaining about coronavirus topics are getting derailed with trollposts, and I'm not helping by bumping this to the front page. The least experienced members can do to keep things quiet is to stop creating threads resenting the influx of threads about [TOPIC]. TECSHARE already has a megathread about coronavirus in P&S https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220206.0, just post there and ignore all the others.

Just personal opinion, but I think this topic should also be locked  This topic has been viewed more than 500 times and lots of comments. Most agree with the OP's opinion. I think LFC_Bitcoin got what he needed. @LFC_Bitcoin, can you review and lock it before it becomes another spam topic?

I am counting now 3 related topics to coronavirus in the first page in Meta. Even this sub is contaminated 
I believe mods/admins are aware of this and since it is a temporary thing i doubt an action will be taken unless it becomes more and more problematic.
As I said before even if a megathread for covid will be created, this will not force people to not talking about its effects on the markets, bitcoin price...inside general topics. Such action will just reduce the number of topics not posts

Not only bitcoin discussion, even the active gambling sections ANN threads are also filled up corona discussion. For example a sporting event is cancelled and we see a lot of comments that it is postponed due to coroanavirus and it is for the safety of the players and blah blah.

Just like the whole TV media and social media is filled with coronavirus, so we find nothing different on this forum too.

It's a global issues, it's everywhere because it's that serious The harms and effects of Corona are really worrying, we are witnessing the worst disease in human history. Actually, we can prevent covid-19 by staying in home. Also we can give more than enough time to discuss about the current crypto market or bitcoin price. Not only bitcoin discussion, even the active gambling sections ANN threads are also filled up corona discussion.

This is just a sign, that this Virus is even affecting the Forum Viruses✌️😂,... They just can't keep quiet about a thing who has more attention than them.

2 weeks ago we seen many spamming corona virus thread everywhere. But now we have many spam thread about Bitcoin halving
Most of them only give their own speculative, like "I think after 3rd halving bitcoin price will reach $50k, how about you?" or giving low value analysis.
Do we need to allowing more thread like this?

Same context but other problem which was better to be discussed elsewhere. However it is a habit in bitcointalk to have many topics discussing the same issue in the same sub or in different sections.
Halving, coronavirus, sudden price rise or drop, important events related to bitcoin... Members will discuss it, its relation to bitcoin, altcoins, adoption and price... Once you get used with it for years, it turns to be "normal", mods rarely interfere with it and they will be blamed if any action is done.
