1. It's not like many people weren't online before, they were probably surfing the Internet from their offices and are now doing the same from home.
2. I am not sure about Bitcoin promotion right now, to be honest, because you're kind of bound to say at some point "Bitcoin is worth $6200 now but it was worth $6600 yesterday, and 3 weeks ago the price was $9k". Some might see a trading opportunity here, but for the majority volatility probably would not be what they want right now. The world is full of instability, so adopting something even more volatile than most things would not sound appealing.

I think that it's always good to promote Bitcoin.

However, I see a few problems in your logic.
1. People would buy Bitcoin mostly as investment or safety deposit, right? Well, since this virus madness has started people mostly withdrew money, didn't invest; and I don't expect this change much in the near future.
2. People are attracted to buy/invest into something when its price is rising. Of course, it's stupid since they may just buy into a new high and actually lose, but that's what people do. Now Bitcoin price is not looking good (on short term) so it may not be appealing to the masses.

All in all, if one manages to put in an ad that buying at such low price is a great deal (#BTFD, remember?) and also explain about the approaching halving too, it can worth a try. Else...


Then, unless one owns a business related to Bitcoin (exchange or whatever), he may not be interested to get money from his pocket to advertise/promote Bitcoin...

Now is a good time to buy lots of bitcoin however businesses that already accepted bitcoin might be in apocalypse right now. Imagine they have been accepting crypto since after the bull run in 2017 when the price is still at the sky and look at it right now they can't even spend a little of their profits because the lost will be doubled. The price looks so pretty to me although it is red, it is very good for today's buying price for a fact that there will be an occurring halving in the next few weeks.

On promoting bitcoin, you don't need to tell people that because the price is high and speculated to become higher the next time. What you should do is tell people how to efficiently utilize the internet trading with the use of bitcoin itself.

I think the reason that I haven't gotten to promoting Bitcoin well enough is that they are not interested in the first place. People know that I support Bitcoin, but they never asked how I do it or how I possibly earn it. They are just like meh.

I agree that most us are under lockdown or self quarantine but, that does not mean we are interested in investing now. People are dying everyday in thousands. They are more concerned in saving their lives and the loved ones. They will be more interested in saving their Fiat for using it in desperate situation. Considering the situation we are in now it can be easily called as desperate situation to survive. If we promote Bitcoin now it will give a negative image to it than positive.

Considering this, I really believe that this is a really good time to let people know. But I'm not really confident if they would like to take it knowing that we are still in the struggles and the risk inside. Bitcoin doesn't need any promotion..Remember what happened in 2017? That massive bull run to the moon? I'm sure majority of members here in the community have been promoting btc in their own way even prior to the corona virus outbreak, some successful, others haven't convinced any. You are right this is one of the best time to promote Bitcoin, the world is on lockdown and a lot of people spend time online which means that promoting Bitcoin now will get it seen by even more people.

After all, more people are at home if possible work from home, move office work at home and connect with partners online. So they stay focused on work.
At any time, you can promote or provide education regarding BTC through social media, not having to wait for a situation like this. In certain instant we can say that since unlike those shitcoins around they need to be notice by the people who used crypto but in the case of bitcoins it still need some marketing or any other things made it visible to the non user since if we can get the attention of those people then might we can get the new adoption which could lead a better place to all the user. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are already popular in the financial world. We even see market analysts including Bitcoin's prediction in their market graphs. Bitcoin introduction can be started for those who are in middle class especially for those whose jobs have been halted due to lockdown. If at least they can have an idea and do the education themselves, we can gather more people as well as support to prove that Bitcoin is not a scam but rather one of the helpful ways to earn and protect assets, as well as be more open to the government for acceptance.
