I mentioned this to efialtis and he liked the idea, so we got a poker series set up on SwC Poker for everyone. The games will be held every weekend at 1PM EST/5PM GMT. For anyone who is confused, that is also 5PM forum time.

We have been chatting trying to come up with the best way to run this. Buyin, start time, number of games per series, number of games per week, and how many to allow in the Champioship game. So we came up with the following.

There will be 8 games per series. 1 ran on Saturday, 1 ran on Sunday each week. The goal is to get as many points as possible to qualify for the championship game. The points structure is as follows:

Points Structure

10th = 1 point
9th = 2 points
8th = 3 points
7th = 4 points
6th = 5 points
5th = 6 points
4th = 7 points
3rd = 8 points
2nd = 9 point
1st = 10 points

The 9 players with the most points will be entered into the Championship game. I will post a spreadsheet in this thread so everyone can keep track of where they are in the points standings.

Championship Payouts

1st 50% of prize pool
2nd 30% of prize pool
3rd 20% of prize pool

The 8 games leading up to the Championship game will payout like normal. Dependant upon the number of entries. Users don't have to play every game to qualify for the Championship game either. You just need to be top 9 in points after 8 games.

Players will be required to send  200 chips per game to youcantwin on SwC for each game. That money will be added to the Championship games prize pool. SwC Poker has agreed to add .05btc to the Championship games prize pool. I will have efialtis (youcantwin) confirm everyone has sent the extra funds before the game starts. The extra funds is a requirement for all who want to play in this series. Whether you join at the beginning or at the end of late registration.

This tourney will be Password- protected, you will be required to send the "extra" chips to youcantwin before you will be given the password.

Outsiders can join, but they will need to make a bitcointalk account and follow all the rules posted. Would like to see users who make accounts stay active on the forum.

Great idea. Hopefully I'll be able to participate. Sounds like a bit too much of drain on my time if I got things right.

So the format is that we have a game on Saturday & Sunday every week? That sounds a bit too much for me. I would prefer if we kept it at one game per week on Sunday like we had until now.

Or if it has to be two games per week can we maybe add a rule for 6 best results to count for championship points? That way if somebody mises a game or two he isn't penalized that much and the guys who play every game still have some advantage.

All other "rules" sound great to me.

Second one will be on Sunday 5/4. We are as excited as you guys are and hope this will grow into something bigger and bigger.

Great work putting this together. Super awesome of SWC to put up a nice addition for the championship game.

I am very likely down for this. Mostly because this one potentially hits my schedule almost perfectly for what I expect the qualifiers to be. My only concern would be the date of the championship, for any series I play in. Not that I assume I will make it or that I expect any adjustments solely for me.

It's a 50/50 for whether I work on a weekend. Would the championships be held on the same Sunday as the last qualifier in the series? Or on one of the following weekends?

If it's a following weekend I would personally love to see it be the 9th or 10th of May as I work dayshifts the 2nd and 3rd.

So the 200 buy-in will always be sent to youcantwin (efialtis) per game on SwC? The time has been adjusted to 2pm I think it will be more favorable on my end more rather than the past tourneys held on 6pm and 4pm. Thanks for setting this up @shipdachips.

As far as I know we got more players then on Sportsbet rather than on SwC on the past games but for 4 tourneys held there we slowly see the growth of registrants and I think we can get that a minimum. But that isn't mandatory to have 15 players every tourney, am I right? Since we have 2 tourneys per week people might lose the edge to play consecutively just my negative thought but we'll see that.

The 15 players arent mandatory - what yahoo means is simply the more the better.

First time I hear about PokerTH! I think that you don't know what you are missing here. There aren't many people in this, but I can tell you that most of us are poker players for years. It's something you can notice when you sit and play with some guys from here, experienced players no doubt, you need to be focused and give your best every hand.

You will not sign up for yet another poker site! You will register to play with us, to have great time playing good poker, and as you can see we will have series now, so we will play two games every week and people with enough points will play final monthly table!
