Threads being locked and archived without notification. What's going on?

I run signature campaign for BitDice and due to an old rule our thread got locked so we had to make a new one and remove the rule.

However now the new thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5231337.msg53989972#msg53989972) has been archived without any notification to us. How am I supposed to run a campaign and get new participants when necessary if this keeps happening.

Why do these things without informing the users that are affected?

EDIT: I'd also like to add that with the original thread being locked (and dogedice.me account being banned for 2 weeks) there was not really much information given either. So we had to basically guess why it happened...

I'd be a lot more understanding if it was made clear why these things keep happening instead of just having to find out the things myself.

Another great example of why some feedback on moderator actions would be useful. I suspect a large portion of the time people would like to follow the rules, but since they are unofficial, unwritten, and moderator action is taken with no explanation, that kind of makes it hard doesn't it?

This is an answer from mprep why he locked your 2 threads but I don't see any rule in Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ that there is a restriction that does not allow to make new threads (I could be wrong because they are unofficial ones and everything can be changed or decided by admins or moderators).

Your threads were locked due to one of them being a campaign to incentivize posting in a specific thread and the other - the target thread of said campaign. Incentivizing posting in threads outside Games and Rounds is prohibited. As such, both threads will remain locked.

One point I can understand, when your account was temp banned, you are not allowed to post during your temp-ban time (2 weeks as you disclosed). Look at the created day of the archived thread. It's a same day on which your 2 previous threads were locked so it violated your temp ban, a kind of ban evasion and I think it is why that thread was archived.

I guess your 2 threads were locked on 7 March or days before that day, and your latest locked thread was created on 8 March. I am not sure when your temp ban started, since 8 March?

And 2) I am not DogeDice.me, I just made this post as this concerns me as much as it concerns them.

The new thread was created AFTER the ban expired (it was created by dogedice.me after all)

I moved it to Archival instead of deleting or Trashcanning it for transparency's sake, if the other thread was locked by a mod and wasn't unlocked after the ban ended, it doesn't make sense to allow dogedice.me to start a new thread.

As such, both threads will remain locked.

You can message mprep if he's fine with restoring the new topic (or unlocking the old one) — it's his call.

Why not? He changed the line that was against the rules. Well, normal would be to unlock both threads that was locked and edit that line out from OP. But I understand that this forum have rules and we have to stick to them.  And dont unlock such threads ever. But to prevent to make a new thread is for sure not in any rules.

Why not? He changed the line that was against the rules. Well, normal would be to unlock both threads that was locked and edit that line out from OP. 1st accusation: You obviously haven't read the thread let alone my replies to it. It never came to any conclusion apart from Joksim repeating things.

2nd accusation: This was made by a scammer and happened when BitDice had bankroll investments (investors were returned all of their money and soon after that we had the ICO)

3rd accusation: The user in question has been playing on our site after that accusation and continued to make baseless claims such as this.

EDIT: So without making any assumptions about your motives, I suggest you to not make such assumptions without knowing the full facts.

I'd guess this might be some sort of misunderstanding between Malevolent and mprep. Perhaps, you should've informed mprep of the new thread to begin with since the former thread was locked for violating a forum rule, he should be aware of any new one(s). A pm to him, as recommended by Malevolent is the way to go.

Maybe, one right point, for this, just wait @mprep say something what is the cause....locked...what else is bothering the BitDice campaign.

You are mistaken my friend, Scams are not moderated in the forum so the scam accusations that were made are definitely not the reason the threads where locked. It probably has something to do with the giveaway or some small misunderstanding as stated by a few members here.

Since you posted it means you know why Original thread was locked. And you are wondering why the new edited thread was locked. My humble speculation is that someone or some group of people targeted BitDice and keep complaining about everything they do. Moderators are not cautious enough to notice that and they moved this thread to archive by mistake. Who are people behind it and what are their motives I have no ideas. We can only see the frontmans. You can look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=874254 trust rating to have a clue.  Could be them or could be some other casino. Hopefully they will get bored from lack of result, but so far they get results quite successfully. Two threads with many many views and posts were locked and Bitdice had to open new ones. Even new thread was moved to archive.  

I just hope moderators are treating everyone here equal on this forum. And I will be very vocal if I ever found out that a thread that was locked because it contained a line which was against the forum rules was latter unlocked and allowed to be edited.

I just messaged mprep to restore the topic, it's sorted out, apologies for the confusion.

Would have been no reason to open any new threads if mods didn't close our years-old threads over a rule that wasn't enforced.

Perhaps I acted too quickly, I assumed dogedice.me would have preferred to keep the longer & older topic and that there was some other reason mprep didn't opt to reopen and edit that thread, e.g. persistent rule breaking.
