Bitcoin right now is really good if it is included in the school system but what makes me interested in this is the system of bitcoin, which is blockchain, because in my opinion blockchain must indeed be in subjects for future deepening
I still have a doubt if school would allow cryptocurrency topic/subject in their curriculum since it is very volatile in terms of price movements. Perhaps they would allow some but not necessarily gonna apply it for the subject since it's a risky investment if someone falls for it without giving the full knowledge about of the market movements. But in terms of blockchain i guess school might allow that since it is part of the new technology.

Many people are doing business with Bitcoin in many ways, many people are seen saying in their project, it will not happen through Bitcoin, it will happen through us, Bitcoin cannot give it, our project can give it, we are stronger than Bitcoin in many ways. ! How many say something, but is it true at all !? These are just some of the ways in which they can make money. Many people are trying to figure out what technology is like Bitcoin, but it hasn't happened yet. I think in today's world it would be better to have some educational subject about Bitcoin / crypto currency.

Early last year I presume, a small boy of 11 years old made a book about bitcoin: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/02/25/11-year-old-andrew-courey-wrote-a-book-on-bitcoin.html Which in other hand I believe people around the globe are getting familiar in crypto-currency. What we should face now its the younger generation coming, just like the little boy who wrote about bitcoin by giving them this opportunity I believe learning or knowing about cryptocurrency will go a long way.

There's a lot of things that need to change when it comes to the education system, especially here in the United States.  I didn't learn anything about money until I reached college, and even then, I wasn't taught a whole lot about how it worked or how to manage it. I think we've got a major issue when it comes to teaching actual real world skills inside our school systems, so something like this being part of an overall money discussion in school makes a ton of sense...but I won't hold my breath.

There are a lot of courses about blockchain and cryptocurrency in universities. I don't know if studying about crypto at school is a good idea, but every student can find free courses at educational portals like Coursera.

Yeah right, learning about this industry will proceed and more and more people will engaged themselves to learn about crypto, with the example you provide as even a your boy creates his book to attract more your people around and start to learn more about this market.  Exposures will be there
as we've seen the after effects of all those available information around the internet.

56 percent of the world’s top 50 universities now offer at least one course on crypto or blockchain — up from 42 percent in 2018

Twice as many students report having taken a crypto or blockchain course than they did in 2018

Nearly 70 percent of crypto and blockchain classes are in departments outside of computer science, including law, the humanities, and economics

hehe sorry, I mean that too, the blockchain technology is included in the school curriculum because now the blockchain technology is very attention-grabbing and so it is very appropriate to be a school learning

It's actually crypto that's very attention grabbing and not really blockchain technology. People are interested when you say $1 to $1000 in a few years. Or $1000 to $20k in one year for Bitcoin.

But tell them about sha-256 and cryptography and they just say, boring!

Never mind talking about the specifics of cryptography, most regular users like me wouldn't know how to get into it either (much as we don't know beyond http being the protocol for most of what we browse).

But you're absolutely right. Cryptocurrency's speculative potential is what grabs attention. People aren't as interested in sovereign money, deflationary models, all the stuff they should be teaching about Bitcoin in an economics class.

But maybe that's precisely why these subjects need to be taught in class so kids grow up wanting to use Bitcoin correctly.

I would agree but certainly blockchain technology can be very useful if students learn it early or at least some background as to how this technology works. I can still recall during my HS days, we have elective courses and computer are one of them, it was early, back then computers are not what it is used to be.

So in essence, maybe students would have a have a good start with crypto/blockchain technology. And maybe in the future, this kind of education will become handy to them, not just the investment side of it, but the technology as well.

Addressing the future, cryptocurrency such as bitcoin should be taught in schools. This is why I did innovate a basic strategy as my research to used base numbers in cryptographic algorithm.

However, the computer is there to compute the numbers. But still, learners should be able to know the manual computation and how it increase and decrease according to its equivalent value.

In addition, this will make the new evolution of numbers of Mathematics.
I disagree with making bitcoin and investing a subject. because in my experience, I don't see bitcoin with anything to learn. If we want to trade well in the crypto market, we should learn about the psychology of manipulators. then our predictions can be more true and make more money. And if you want to learn about blockchain, yes that's good if it can help the economy run faster.

I opened a similar topic some months ago, about this argument since I believe that anyone should receive education in blockchain and related technologies!
Let's see what happens in the next months/years, meanwhile some free courses are already offered in certain countries Cool !

Blockchain and related technologies are the Future. Libra is just another confirmation for that theory (if needed), but for sure the biggest one we have ever seen in these days.

I think that Governments of developed Nations MUST add a blockchain course to the basic education of any Citizen... starting from elementary schools, and why not, with some basics concept also in nursery.

A young brain in it's primordial state is the base for any further development. Plus everyone should have this education, like an essential human right.

What do you think?

I thought it was already introduced into the school curriculum and universities...
In some schools yes but not the majority because Only those develop countries that understand crypto are those offering the course so it means limited until now,But of course there are some online sites that offers also same education for interested people, some are free and some are with payments.

But i believe that sooner it will be open in most universities or even in secondary highschool as we are now getting closer to Computer world when everything relies in computer and man power only requires in limited occasions.

For bitcoin to be included in the school course curriculum, it needs to be first made legal by the countries. How can you include anything in the course which is not legal in most of the countries.  In my country, some people are offering courses on blockchain or crypto trading but that is being done at a personal or private level. There is no official course launched by our government.

Because bitcoin is a future currency and also has sophisticated technology. I think it should be introduced as early as possible, especially
bitcoin must begin to be learned in school. Education about bitcoin becomes very important, because bitcoin can make changes in the
economic sector. With bitcoin some countries have begun to experience financial improvements, and bitcoin can also make our finances
better by investing in bitcoin.

Because bitcoin is a future currency and also has sophisticated technology
I alsoe believe that it was a sophisticated topic thus need to be studied. However, I disagree on the suggestion of making it as a subject in highschool because it was not essential for the youngsters. Don't get me wrong, I am not against this. What I'm just telling is that there's no need to change the curriculum significantly before learning this. Besides, we all don't need to become bitcoin analysts in the future; as long as we know its basic concept then we can already adopt it for good Smiley.

Many developed countries around the world are taught about blockchain technology. The use of blockchain technology for the security and mobility of transactions is increasing day by day. Related to cryptocurrency and blockchain. The number of countries using Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is also increasing day by day. Therefore, cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and blockchain technology must be included in the education curriculum.

Yeah i think this too childrens should be taught about bitcoin in schools, the history of crypto currencies how the value increases or decreases and some basic education about blockchain should be added too because in future crypto will rule all the currencies.

This should be a welcome development all around the world to engage students with the teachings of cryptocurrency as it has already started in some countries. But then it will only be possible in countries where the government has fully recognised cryptocurrency and its been used. It should be taught to youths and adults too because majority of the people don't have the knowledge too.

There are many similarities between cryptocurrency and blockchain. I think the idea of cryptocurrency through the subject of economics is introduced among the students.
Especially in countries where there is a lack of employment, training should be provided on various aspects of making money online, one of which is cryptocurrency. They will be interested in learning about Bitcoin and may be a means of earning money in the future.
