The next monster

I've been reading the archives of this forum over the past few days for the first posts about Ethereum, Binance, XRP etc.

Many posters calling them scams and shitcoins initially and a number of posters praying for Ethereum to get to $10 so they would become millionaires. I want people to look back at this thread in years to come and highlight the posters that predicted the next huge altcoins and it would also be good to see what people are investing in outside the top 100.

I'll start - NULS.

Maybe the best tech I have come across with an extremely dedicated team and great community. With it's easy to use staking platform, chain factory and Nerve - the decentralised digital asset service network I think this coin will start making moves into the top 20 over the next year. Constantly ranked in the top 10 projects on CCID (China based crypto ranking) it's only a matter of time before this project explodes.

Let me know your dark horses for the next big altcoin..

You can take those old posts as granted man, no one would ever think that Bitocin would hit $10 when it was $1, then no one would ever think it may hit $100 when it hit the $10 mark.
My point is that this crypto space is crazy enough to expect everything from. It's volatile enough to make you rich & also screw your capital just like that if you don't have a good money management, risk control strategy.

Don't take it on false hopes, YES some people made millions thank to XRTP back to late 2018 frist 2019 & those were to early adopters who grab it when it was less than 1 penny !!!
Such opportunities do not happen often unfortunately. Sometimes it's just a matter of luck which alts, coin you're holding & when it booms out of nowhere.

This is a little bit true. But the thing that project still an altcoin. I know this project is listed on many exchanges and one of criteria of a good coin however everyone knows that some of the coin can be delisted once their ability to provide liquidity is gone. Many projects have been like this also. Example is pundiX, before it is one of the highest volume but now? Not so sure about that. It has the same position like NULS unless they can retain their market and continue improve their platform.

I also this news, but their recent announcent is not enough to call it a dark horse. But they are the best market coin for now and that is for sure. Maybe they can be more competent in the future.

There's reality to what you have said because the altcoins market during those time wasn't recognized and popular. The years of 2016-2017 made the ICO market at its finest and most of the altcoins benefited from it. But I don't think that we will get to see the same scenario again for the newer projects. They can pump too but not to the extent the same as Ethereum and other altcoins before.

We have heard it all before even the famous guys are shilling for some altcoins, its good to at least give hope to those who invest but I hope they won't hang on to it forever. The crypto market is still in the very early stage and there are more things to come that will make prices drop to the ground. Lets just be watchful to the chart that we can profit on time before these monsters drop dead.

Most will predict their favourites to be the next Monster. Well, I do not care which is saying which, all I want at this time, most especially considering the high influx of projects into the crypto space, is a project that provides a uniquely different idea and a product to back it up and not only that, I love it when the team of such project is not greedy, because that is one of the things that kills lots of projects. They would want to make money and thereafter, abandon the project.

You are just looking at the good sides of the ruins but never the bad ones. 

This forum is great because it keeps the history of all the coins specially bitcoin.
But there are also those coins which have been snatched away from getting a great value.

I know some before when I traded them from my bounties.
Some of them was left in the dark and now are dust.
There are just few who made it into the light.
Before, I was just gambling LSK at dice of Yobit just for fun. But look at it now.

Candidly speaking, the next monster still remains the current monster called Bitcoin. What on earth is to be a monster aside the one we have already had from the beginning? Binance won't be and can't be a monster because it is centralized, even the suggested altcoins BT OP still have a long way to  go before be recognize in the society, so, let's be more realistic here. Bitcoin is decentralized and nothing centralized can be term monster except otherwise.

Yes, it is very clear, the people in the cryptocurrency room must always use a good strategy to get a lot of benefits, because in crypto there are only two choices, if it doesn't work then we will be poor, and vice versa.

poor imediately ? you will only be poor if you will invest all your lifetime saving on it and then you sudenly loose but if you will only invest tiny amounts  ,that cant lead you to poorness  . infact you didnt loose it all imediately as long as you are still holding your assets but if your lucky the coins value can still return to normal  .  i like the idea of op comparing old stuffs to new one , this gives me nostalgia and makes me happy that coins that are being bullied before are now a monster   . same thing can also happne on most of the coins today

   Xcana you are right, Bitcoin is the monster for all time, but we can't deny the existence of all other good
projects. I like decentralized projects and I need to mention one project it's DigiByte, one of the old and
real decentralized projects, many people say it's undervalued for years and that this projects is one of
the best ones for investing right now.
   I will check Null's project, I heard about it, but I didn't do any deeper look into this project. Now when
we are in quarantine I have time for that!

sometimes we learn from bad experiences to get satisfying results in the future, if it continues to run in place it will continue to be left behind in regret.

Nuls is a very good altcoin no doubt here, they hold a strong place in the crypto industry for a long time. Personally, I like Nuls and EOS technology very much and I think NULS a bit underrated! But I would not call it a next monster, because Nuls development is less and their use cases are not good enough anymore! I will buy NULS coin to make profits because bull run will boost this coin very much, but yet it is not the next big thing, maybe Cartesi, Energi or Insolar will be the next monster!

I like this though, the challenge of searching for a needle in a haystack is appealing to me for some reason. It make me think there is still some skill element in this lottery people think we are playing.

In 2017 everything pumped, in the next run only the outstanding projects will and the reward of finding one is life changing. I'm spending all day every day looking at projects, I guess there's not much else to do during this quarantine!

What happened to Bitcoin is history now and what will happen in couple of years from now will decide who will be the next monster. In my opinion, I think there are three contenders and they are Ethereum, EOS, and BNB.

If you can hodl these three you have a chance to become the next crypto millionaire.

Cool to see you were posting on here back in 2013, must have some good stories about early investments..I don't think WorldCoin (WDC) was one of them though! 

I'll check out the coins you mentioned, I know Insosalr and Energi of course but will dive deeper into some research.

In my opinion, I think there are three contenders and they are Ethereum, EOS, and BNB.

EOS has no future and Ethereum is a huge risk because of their PoS update. BNB is another story. If Binance will continue to grow then i see this token going much higher.
