Hey guys, I have never mined any BNS coins but I buy them on poloniex... I have a question though, how do I get these superblock bonuses from mining?? Is there a specific pool that gives a certain % to finding them???

I am still quite new to mining alt coins. I mine them via GPU using a cudaminer, is it possible for me as well to have that kind of luck??? Smiley

1 in 1024 is a superblock (with a random seed). All pools are able to find them and you are able to find them solo. So far Hardcoreminers found the most, then hashing and then a solo user.
You can check the OP and conclude yourself that hashing in a pool gives more luck for super blocks Wink

I see, you know of any good pools to use? As in best ones?

I looked at the chart in my client this morning and saw a huge difficulty drop. I checked all the pools and I noticed that hashing.at has a different blockcount from hardcoreminers and the main blockexplorer.

Fork?

Forks reported - UPDATE WALLETS PLEASE

Yes, it appears some clients may not have updated during the soft fork period.  Please update if you haven't done so. You are on the WRONG fork and your blocks will eventually orphan!

We had a week long soft fork period that expired yesterday where we informed everyone to update.

If you're not updated yet any blocks found won't count and will orphan.

If you updated and are having problems, please speak up.  I don't think thats the case, but incase.

Just ran "getinfo" in the console, should be on this chain and version

{
"version" : 90801,
"protocolversion" : 70012,
"walletversion" : 60000,
"balance" : 0,
"blocks" : 13277,
"timeoffset" : 7,
"connections" : 19,
"proxy" : "",
"difficulty" : 29447.38950977,
"testnet" : false,
"keypoololdest" : 1397226806,
"keypoolsize" : 101,
"paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
"errors" : ""
}

EDIT - Here's the update required post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524212.msg6100537#msg6100537

Bummer! I just ran getinfo in my client and it matches the block explorer, so I assume I'm alright. I think hashing.at may be the odd man out. Someone should try to contact the pool operator.

Also, to know if you're on the right fork you can also look at the current block.

It should be same or within 1 (if you're showing next block) of: http://explorer.bonuscoin.net/chain/Bonuscoin

If you know you've updated this isn't an issue for you.

Unless something isn`t done on poloniex, BNS will eventually get delisted from the site just like these others mentioned there:

"FOX/BTC, FZ/BTC, CASH/BTC, and APH/BTC will be delisted in two days."

OH noo!! Polo is where I buy and sell my BNS :/ Grrr. And yes, my miners are blocked at hashing.at and they are reporting 0 hash and 0 nethash, like they're not even forked, just totally dead lol. Once upon a time, there were telephones, and you could call people sys admins when you found a problem. Now, there's just support forms that never get answered lol.

It's not on the block yet that I've heard and it had some buyers today.  Its been going up pretty steadily with buyers moving up the bid..  Some dumpers from time to time..  Just there seems to be a little standoff between the sellers and the buyers..  Not much sell volume and buyers trying to hold out and pick it up cheaply..   Really won't take much to move the coin up (or I suppose down if someone really gives up)..  Just needs a few buyers deciding to get in..

I don't really see that as a bad thing, but I'm not a trader.

I'm sure we'll hear if it looks like BNS is at risk, haven't heard anything yet and I know we have a decent following at Poloniex..

I've chatted with several guys in their trollbox and everything has sounded positive...

Been in contact with Hashing.at admins.  They are working on an issue and fixing last I talked to them.

I'll tell everyone when they tell me it's all corrected.

Just messaged back and forth with the Hashing.at techs.  Said it should all be up and running now!

Maybe you sparked something.  Someone put a decent buy at 7 and took out through 9 on polo looks like..
https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_bns

Or was that you?

EDIT: Guess my post caused them to remove the 7 buy??  --  I'll keep my mouth shut from now on  Lips sealed
