I'm going to hit one of those eventually!

This was 14199, we're now on 16200. When will there be a next one?

They are Random, though they should occur 1/1024 blocks..

So, it's overdue Smiley

I'm in since block 14253, nothing happend until now block 16247.

That's (16247 - 14199 = 2048) = twice 1024....

I'm in since block 14253, nothing happened until now block 16247.

That's (16247 - 14199 = 2048) = twice 1024....

The basic way it works.  The coin generates a random number 1-1024.

It bases the reward amount on the value generated. Only 1 number out of 1-1024 creates the SuperBonus Block.  Other numbers signify the 27K bonus, etc.

So, while on average it should be 1 out of every 1024 yields a SuperBonus block.  It's also possible for 2 to hit in a row if they both randomly hit or none to hit for 3000 blocks if it's an unlucky cycle.

That's the fun part of the coin.  Could get a long unlucky cycle or hit 2 in 20 blocks as happened 1 time already.

>or none to hit for 3000 blocks if it's an unlucky cycle.

That, I don't understand.
I thought at least once in the 1024 blocks.
So when block 14199, the next must be between 14200 and 15224.

What you say means:
- the following next 11.000 blocks nothing, and then 10 blocks after each other is possible?

Weird!

It's odds.  The odds of hitting a SuperBonus are 1/1024.  Each block has the same odds.

Each block has the same odds of hitting regular reward, 2x reward, 10x reward or SuperBonus reward.

Overall avg should be 1 out of 1024 blocks is a SuperBonus.

Is anybody interested in creating p2p network for this coin?  I'd like to setup one p2pool node but don't have know-how yet :-)...and also creating one node is not really p2p network, right :-)..so just for future i'm in if more people join.

update:

i followed instructions found on this site http://coingolem.com/how-to-setup-your-own-p2pool-node-windows-212/ and got stuck on getting py_module for BonusCoin...seems like i'm done for now Smiley...mr Bonus please help

I'm but a humble servant to the coin Smiley

I'll have one of the devs look at it and see what they say.  Though I think they might not be easy to reach this weekend.  If not sure they can handle next week.

I've never setup a p2pool, but I'm willing to help with the effort. I'd like to try it out. I did a few quick searches and found this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=214512.msg4998082#msg4998082

Looked helpful. I've read through the code a few times on a few different coins, so I think I can figure those settings out for BNS.
