How long do you think the crisis can last after the epidemic?
What are the most likely events to occur?

There's so much stuff going on in the world that it's hard to tell. In my opinion it will take at least 3 full years to get the life "back to normal" and are now in "still normal" phase, and worse is yet to come I assume.
Can you give me specific reason why you think it will take 3 years before finally backing to normal?sorry but i think that is too much to expect in our economy and crypto market as well.
Some scientist believe that this pandemic will last for not less than 8 months due to handy testings of vaccines.
8 months is fine to stop the virus but the effect in our community is the question if howm long will it take to recover again.
Quote
It is also believed that after pandemic, their will be a new normal where in facing mask will be a must specially in crowded places, economy will soon be rising again back to its normal phase, and some most likely people will be very much vigilant on their surroundings.
thats the next step in which called "General community quarantine" GCQ and not ECQ

Each crisis is very different, so it can't be described correctly. But the recovery will take up to couple of years, it's clear.

In our country, general community quarantine will be implemented as long as no vaccine is created even the curve has been flattened. This might be the new normal since there is no coming back to what normal is. This means only a few are allowed to go out, those who are working and transport will be limited, curfew will still be implemented and there will be a checkpoint everywhere.  Even some businesses will be closed, some will be allowed to operate again but with limited hours. The pandemic had affected our lives greatly, even the economy suffered a lot.

That might take a very long time, some predictions say that we need about a year for vaccine. I don't think that people and businesses can endure that much, such quarantine can only lead to deep crisis and  poverty. Mo country in the world can cover such losses so the consequences of quarantine at the end might be much worse than consequences of virus.
To my opinion the world is heading towards worse crisis since WW II.

And what happened to the world economy after the World War II? The world had experienced almost two decades of unseen economic growth.

The post–World War II economic expansion, also known as the golden age of capitalism and the postwar economic boom or simply the long boom, was a broad period of worldwide economic expansion beginning after World War II and ending with the 1973–1975 recession. The United States, Soviet Union, Western European and East Asian countries in particular experienced unusually high and sustained growth, together with full employment. Contrary to early predictions, this high growth also included many countries that had been devastated by the war, such as Japan (Japanese economic miracle), West Germany and Austria (Wirtschaftswunder), South Korea (Miracle on the Han River), France (Trente Glorieuses), Italy (Italian economic miracle) and Greece (Greek economic miracle).

And this what is going to happen to the world now, imo, contrary to many predictions.

Just because you think prices should drop due to people being out of work doesn't mean that people will not be spending.
There will be a lot of people selling their stocks, their investments, their cars, their houses, their possessions, basically every single thing that they own before they could not buy food.

It means market would still be available, so you say people are out of work, but the amount of money existing in the world today is the same, hell even increased with printed money, where is that money? Well some of it was distributed, some of it was given to bigger fish, so in the end there are still buyers out there and that causes prices go up since people buy a lot of the same things and that results with them being out of stock and eventually charge more.

I think you're late with the news the corona virus already been declared by WHO as global pandemic unfortunately this crisis wouldn't end anytime soon as some experts predict this plague could last between 1-2 years even more if scientist doesn't able to formulate a cure to the virus.
But during the pandemic crisis i expect their would be chaos due to financial crisis.

I'm sure it's would be not the same as it will. Many of people will afraid to interact to each other and economy will take a lot of time before it will totally recover. Business will slowly open and get back to normal. This deadly virus will surely stick to our brains and others might get traumatize because of it. People also learned to this kind of crisis like live healthy, stable income, and savings. Appreciate every effort of our health workers and the time we spend together with our family.

Yes. Everything will not be the same again after this epidemic. But we can still recover but it will surely takes years before everything will be back to normal. I'm sure we have learned a lot of lessons from this epidemic and hopefully this will be the start of a better environment. More crisis are expecting after this corona virus battle that will make our country's economy still suffer even years after.

How long do you think the crisis can last after the epidemic?
What are the most likely events to occur?
A year or more to fully recover? So much money was alotted for discovering vaccines, helping people, providing medicines yet all offices and other businesses were not in their full operation or worst case, stopped. Government has no source of income.
After the quarantine, for sure social distancing is also present which is I think good to still control the spreading of the virus that are not been killed. Alcohols and face mask are still in demand.

Personally I believe in crisis after this pandemic. The crisis will be painful for some countries more than for other countries, the same is for people, some will suffer more than others. How long it will last nobody can say, all we see are speculations, and we can assume that for some countries and for some people recovery will not be easy and fast.

After this pandemic there is no guaranteed reason that our life will be back to normal. As long their is vaccine to this virus this can be resolve. Our economy is suffering and also worse to the people that has no food to eat to survive daily. This crisis has brought us the realizations in life but let us do hope no bigger problem arise.

This pandemic is unthinkable and will greatly affect all countries in the world, it seems like all countries are shocked because of the pandemic. did not expect that it would have a broad impact and would greatly affect all sectors. agree with you many countries will greatly impact the economy after the completion of this pandemic, we ourselves do not know how long the pandemic will end. so that all just predicting, when the pandemic ends and can not be sure exactly, so it is difficult to predict.

How long do you think the crisis can last after the epidemic?
What are the most likely events to occur?
I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen after the pandemic, and the things I imagine are not things that I wish would happen. The lockdown that are being placed in countries in the globe is really affecting them, and we face serious recession afterwards. Leaders around the world are now trying to ease the lockdown, they have announced in my country that they will ease the lockdown starting from May 4th, but people were advised to maintain social distancing and wear masks when leaving their homes. I’m afraid that the situation might get worst after this.

I read an article on theconversation.com and the writer explained step by step what’s likely to happen after this pandemic. They stated about four futures that will affect our life after, and they are the state capitalism which will focus on prioritizing exchange value, and Barbarism which is a bit similar. Then the next two which are State socialism and mutual aid that priorities protection of life.

much will depend on the economic impact of the pandemic. now it is certain that much of the world will experience a recession, in strict technical terms. recession is defined as two consecutive quarters in which economic contracts. and this quarter of the year has been lost in terms of economic output ...
I agree that if this is only "speculation" with you, it is not known that the recession will continue to confront us which will eventually turn into depression, a decline that goes on deeper and wider in all areas of economic activity...

There will be a lot of money to be made after the epidemic which is why I do not see it as a crisis but more like an opportunity. The good old saying (don't know if its true) with the "in Chinese chaos also means opportunity" thing in my mind, maybe there is nothing like that in Chinese I don't know but it makes sense, when there is chaos going around everywhere, that means the person who is the most calm will make the most money.

Definitely there are a lot of places that will be bankrupted because of corona but there will always be companies who will be undervalued because of it, and if you invest to them at the right time during this period, you will start to make a lot more when things go back to normal and people realize that there was no reason to undervalue them.

i don't get it. why?
Its simple, think about all the retail shops that have been closed down for months. They are looking at huge losses and they need to recover these losses with time. So to do so they need to raise the price of articles in order to cover the same profit or break even in the close of this year or maybe stretched till next year Q1.

businesses can't just erase past losses by charging customers more. that's not how supply and demand works.

consumers are already spending much less because of high unemployment and low economic confidence. they will spend even less if business raise prices. that's a recipe for business failures.

what do shops do when they are desperate for sales? they put things on sale. one recent example of many:

Saks, Gap and others try deep discounts to move unsold dresses and shoes amid coronavirus, but people aren’t buying

We have had indigenous industries closing down and not being able to produce anything, they are taking the biggest losses, and they will have to cover it in some way. Prices of goods will thus rise but lets see what actually happens.

many will "cover it" by scaling down or going out of business.

Personally I believe in crisis after this pandemic. The crisis will be painful for some countries more than for other countries, the same is for people, some will suffer more than others. How long it will last nobody can say, all we see are speculations, and we can assume that for some countries and for some people recovery will not be easy and fast.
much will depend on the economic impact of the pandemic. now it is certain that much of the world will experience a recession, in strict technical terms. recession is defined as two consecutive quarters in which economic contracts. and this quarter of the year has been lost in terms of economic output ...
I agree that if this is only "speculation" with you, it is not known that the recession will continue to confront us which will eventually turn into depression, a decline that goes on deeper and wider in all areas of economic activity...
I believe that all govs will show us how good we are after pandemic, that's we alright and like nothing happened
but people will feel this weight of broken economy on their shoulders for good 1-2 years at least
a lot of companies and countries faced very harsh times so did the people

To be honest, no one knows when the corona virus crisis ends, certainly everyone hopes that the corona virus ends as soon as possible.
If it does not end soon it will make the economy worse, and the increasing number of poor people. Therefore follow the recommendations
government to stay at home, reduce activities outside the home. In order to stop the spread of the corona virus. If the spread of the corona
virus ends then the company and the factory can start again, but for small companies must be given a stimulus in the form of financial
assistance. Because smaller companies will be more difficult to improve.

Hmm, let me presume that the epidemia here in our country end (or at least can be isolated) the moment that the Enhanced Community Quarantine will finally uplifted. The ECQ here in our country will probably end by May 15 as what president announced. After that I don't think everything will go to normal like nothing happened. I mean the stigma was already there. Not only our economy will be greatly affected but all of us. People for sure will be more health conscious due to the presence of anxiety dealt by the virus. I foresee that most of us still wear mask for the rest of our day when we are outside, you can smell scent of alcohol/disinfectant everywhere you go, bondings and gatherings will not become tight and enjoyable unlike before, transportation fees will be affected due to social distancing, a single cough might lead you to discrimination and many more. *sigh But despite all of these, we are all alive and that's enough to show our deepest gratitude to Him. We, mankind, will rise Smiley.

In my opinion we cannot guarantee will be over soon unless we already fabricated a vaccine that would create assurance that everything will be fine and will not put danger to everyone to come outside in order to continue life back to normal on daily basis. Everyone are affected, even Bitcoin and whole crypto world suffer too much damage that brought drastic downfall for everyone. Let's just hope soon vaccine will be propagated to ensure full recovery of world economy.

How long do you think the crisis can last after the epidemic?
What are the most likely events to occur?
We cant say how long, what I know is after the lockdown is lifted payment for bills like electricity, water and house rent are waiving and thinking about it gives me headache.

Even we go back to work it wont be the same again because I have this fear of getting the virus (because they cant accurately say that everyone is clear) if ever someone outside or one of my co-worker is infected.

The economy needs time to recover as well as the government since they use their funds to support the needs of the people while in lockdown.
