Instead of giving your full money, doing copy-trade is probably better. The problem is this kind of feature is limited and not supported by most exchanges. But at least you don't risk losing your entire funds.

Never use signal service or trading deals, most of the time they're fake and even if it's legit, it won't last long.

Your friend shouldn't allow himself to give investment capital to a trader. The profit is not guaranteed and it's always a roller coaster which means that profit is sometimes good but sometimes it's also a loss. There's no assurance that the money will be returned to him.

And if he gave his money to a trader, why not just trade on his own so that there's no one to blame but himself.

If you are already in Bitcoins and are a trader then you should know well enough to not trust anyone .
The thing is in Bitcoins you don't need any central authority to control and monitor you , therefore you don't have to go to someone else , you can very easily do everything by yourself.

There are a lot of people who try to trade, learn, and get losses. I think that's natural to happen and what people need to do is learn from their mistakes and start again. I'm afraid there might be none at all. The safest way probably is to know for yourself how trading works, and then actually observes and discusses with the trader about how everything is done. If everything is done face-to-face and you are actually seeing how the trader is actually doing his/her analyses, and he/she creates orders while explaining every step of the way, then he/she is might be credible. But then this does not happen in reality as these transactions are oftentimes done online and through unreliable referrals and all, so it is better to avoid it altogether.

First cross check your sentence above, I believe you were to say (a close friend of your's) see, let me give you an hint here is not every investment that is worth taking a risk for, now he doesn't have that mindsets that the money wasn't his money rather someone else. For the first question, trading isn't as easy as most people think, even professional traders gets stuck which proves that no one is perfect. I have seen good traders lose out in a trade but as good as they are, they recovered from other trades. The professional trader probably isn't any professional and had already planned to scam the investor. He was paying him the first few months just to gain his trust. Probably hoped that the investor would eventually invest more. Once he gains the investors trust, and gets more money, he is gone. Classic way of scamming.
There is nothing to evaluate. If you are dumb enough to let someone else completely handle you finance who promises you to give fixed amount of return every month, then you deserve to get scammed.

It's really hard to entrust your own money to just someone even  if he/she claimed an expert trader. Same with my co-worker. My workmate also said to me that he invested some money to his friend who is a trader and he is giving my workmate just small returns depends on the success of his trades.  I can't blame her since she doesn't know how to read some technical analysis so she decided to do that.

If you watch, our services board and daily news paper's classified (may be not frequently after corona outbreak) are carrying such ads in uncountable numbers. One basic question is, if those traders are able to pay back certain ROI every month, why not they trade for themselves and make huge profits out of their own trading skills.

They do not want to risk their own money but they plan to trade with other's money. If you notice they will promise for fixed ROI (in some percentage regardless of how much they may profit) every month and if losses occurs then the investor need to bear all the losses and not in percentage. Honestly, they are all stealing our money in the name of some white business. If you watch this forum then probably you might have avoided the above scenario for your friend as we do see lots of people are asking such investments here and experienced member of this forum are continuously busting them before scamming this community.

Simply, I will not believe in someone or companies or groups that offer investment services even with high ROI or other profit promises. I will trust myself to do the investment or by trading. I think the question here is, what difference would it be between some self proclaimed professional on telegram, pasting proofs that are either unverifiable or perhaps some reposted content just to prove professionalism and the trader for which your friend invested and it went rogue.

At least, in your friends case, his got the trader to make case with but for telegram, you've got no where to turn. Once your blocked, it's case closed! Except the supposed trader who is allegedly trading for you is grossly under paying you on investment. For instance someone can drastically reduce the ROI to around 2% – 5%, we can understand that to be sustainable. Sadly, people don't get enticed into investing on such low ROI, though this is more likely to succeed than higher ROI. So, they find a way to promise anything around 30% and above which can't be sustained. Except they resort to ponzi. They get more interested investors in and pay the old ones from newcomers' cash. Repeat the pattern and on and on. This doesn't last as it will crash once there aren't new investors coming in. This is what makes ponzi schemes crash. This. It's either the trader is underpaying you or it's just a complete scam. There's no "guaranteed" way of profiting when it comes to trading, that's just part of the cycle. Yeah, I really agree with this because when I was still learning the basics of bitcoin, I did have a mentor on it to which he just guides me on what should be the next step of my learning. Also, he shares his own strategy, but it is not working for me. So after learning the basics, I started to learn strategies on it to know what is most suitable for me. At first, in demo, I was losing a lot, but later on I got my own strategy and decided to try with real money, but still there are mistakes that I have made and I have learnt from it. There are too many gullible people who end up trusting their money to others, or invest according to what others are saying as well. We talk about people who invest by giving it to others and we do not talk about the situation at hand all that much, reality is that most of the people who lose money in crypto are not the people who just give their money to others, but also people who end up investing themselves but to things others have said.

If you are doing that then you are going to end up losing money most of the time as well. Just invest into long term good projects that you trust that will go on for a long time, otherwise it makes no sense.

maybe it is OK to use that copy trading for a while but of course not forever ,  maybe give them at least 6 months? that is more enough to understand how trading goes and how trading is profitable but risky .

All those telegrams are just scammers playground and that they will never stop from deceving people especially if they can see that you are just very easy to be manipulated. Doubt if you think the offer is already out of normal context of things. We can't expect everyone to be honest especially if they are offering their services.
