In my opinion No, BTC halving is near. So we can expect some pump in BTC. As usual, if BTC pump all Alt dump! (BTC pair) So i think this is not the right time. Wait and watch the market before taking your decision.
Again the same suicidal attitude. Think about it, the majority never wins. If all of you keep thinking that halving will make you rich you're wrong. Most halvings were followed by short -term drops in price. Also, if Bitcoin really pumps like crazy in a very short time like 3 days people will start dumping altcoins to join the pump so in the short term you'll lose unless you buy one of the top 10 coins because those will follow Bitcoin but then why not choose to risk less and buy Bitcoin? |

There are many alt coins in the cryptocurrency market. In the meantime, you have to invest in the promising ones. Note that when the price of Bitcoin increases, the value of Alts Coin usually decreases. Now that the price of Bitcoin has risen fairly, the price of Alts Coin has not risen in that proportion. Wonder, why some of us will only be ready to buy when there is a pump going on, doesn't that mean they become FOMO and certainly tend to be more dangerous to themselves, because when you buy when a pump occurs but in reality it is only a temporary increase, then the next movement certainly is a correction and it will be very worrying, buying when a pump occurs will be good when there is a bull run and prices continue to increase every day, for both reasons then we should realize the right time to buy and not about buying when prices are pumped up.

We are closing to the bitcoin halving event and the orice has already startes to act to the event as expected. We may now see a significant increase in BTC price as well. Is it a good time to invest some money on some altcoins, obviously on the top altcoins only.
Everyone is optimistic about the Bitcoin halving, I hope it doesn't play out like that of BCH. Many people expect a hard pump, then dump but BTC always does its thing, influenced by whales anyway. OP I like your choice to hold just top altcoins, but I've been trading other altcoins since three days ago with good profit. I bought some HIVE and CTSI, made about 20% and 10% today respectively from them and put the funds in BTC and ETH. |

If the target is to get the big pump moment after halving, that means the same as a long-term investment. The significant rising in bitcoin price maybe because the bitcoin halving period is gonna happening. Indeed it is the best time to buy some bitcoin. But if bitcoin price rising after halving, usually the other altcoins price will rising too because btc. If you think it is a good time to buy, then just buy it what you can afford to lose. |

Yes, in terms of indeed holding BTC is a very appropriate choice for now, and even if you want to hold some Altcoin is also still good, as long as Altcoin is arrested it is Altcoin which already has a lot of volume as you mentioned and some others are LTC , ETH and BCD. Bitcoin as main investment and some alts that have good potentials, if you are into long term investment best to have those alts that already inside top 20 from CMC, since there's always possibilities that history will repeat itself, while the amount of those alts still cheap from the ATH that they've got from the last pumped, holding assets where you probably understand the use gives you enough trust to hold for much longer time. |

It is never too late to invest in altcoins. Halving the BTC will bring a longer-term price increase for BTC and implicitly for most altcoins, but not enough to consider that a new bull run will come. Depends which coin you gonna pick and which pair you choose. The market is in good condition now. And at this moment many coins are doing good. But at this moment bitcoin is pumping so many alt with btc pair are in low so if you want to pick one of them it's fine. But market is very volatile now so pick carefully.
