Also OP should know that there maybe lag in a different server according to my experience when i've joined players in different region those players is from Singapore and the lag really hinders the gaming experience.
There is no SG region server. The server of ML is global. Once you joined a match, all of you will be on the same server regardless of what's the country. Maybe it's your ISP.
Singapore do have lots of best performing ML players too. This means no problem at all about the ML server.
Connection stability would be a main problem with this one since not all players participating is residing on one country.This should be put up in consideration because playing on lag or high ping isnt always preferable.
If you play regularly, your teammates and opponents might come from other countries. Watch the weekly MCL you will also see that players came from a different country. Their server is not only designed to support one country. In fairness, since their inception, ML devs really worked hard to solved the connectivity issues. If ever there's a lag, it's unfair to just point it because of the ML server but the ISP itself might also be the problem. That's why it's advisable to record the game so that we can see the ping distribution throughout the match so that in case of a loss, no excuse or reason at all.
Botton line, rather than we speculate here, let's give this a try:)
There's a ping test game for at least 5 minutes before the actual match. That's the usual practice before the custom game starts.
As for OP, it would be great if you would record the game and post it here on the link so that other players can watch. I think there are some Mobile Legenda player here, but some would be solo players without a solid team.

I think it will be just good if you just team up with same country, the ping performance will really make a difference. I think Philippines and other SEA country has vast of players, I guess many will join in it. Does the past teams that played will be able to play, I guess you can contact them again. I wanted to join but only for Philippines and does it have a required rank to join to? I guess even custom still required rank requirements to be able to play with the other level ranks.
If just for ping performance, I see no problem teaming up from another country. The advantage of teaming up with players from the same country is to have the best coordination since they can understand each other easily
(voice chat).In Part 1, our opponent came from Indonesia if I'm not mistaken and I think not all of them came from the said country but rather they teamed up because they usually play together. I just checked the profile of Habie but it seems not active anymore.
Anyways, the custom game doesn't require minimum rank requirements.
