This is how Google misleading people in their suggested answers while searching for questions about bitcoin.
WTF Google, is there a way to report this sh!t?

There's a "Feedback" button at bottom of "People also ask" section. I don't know whether that can be helpful or not of course.

I just googled different keywords "ceo of bitcoin, bitcoin ceo, bitcoin creator" and etc. I didn't get any information stating that Roger Ver is the ceo of bitcoin but yeah, when you type it, you get an automatic result from google that shows him as the ceo of bitcoin.com and we can't deny that. That happens because of google's search algorithm, no one is "ceo of bitcoin" but on wikipedia and other websites, Roger Ver is stated as the ceo of bitcoin.com so google automatically thinks about bitcoin.com next to btc when you type bitcoin.
It's possible to leave feedback in that section and rate the accuracy of shown information.

It's not really a wrong answer, but rather not suitable because Google doesn't make the difference correctly between Bitcoin and bitcoin.com. It considered the question relevant to the topic (basically Bitcoin) so it linked to a page saying who is the CEO of Bitcoin.com

Adding to the fact that the Google Core update is currently taking place during about a month or more, some results may not be accurate or relevant during this period until it becomes stable.
There are thousands of queries with a similar problem and it happens with every major update to its algorithm

This result is from Wikipedia, so am not sure if Google is showing this information to mislead people or it's just an "innocent mistake" caused by how their search algorithm works and the confusing between bitcoin and bitcoin.com (as pointed out by LeGaulois)!
Anyway, the first thing I learnt since I joined this community is to never trust Google and all their services.

I agree on what LeGaulois above about recognition of Google between Bitcoin and bitcoin.com thats a probable reason why we are seeing this
misleading stuff but anyways it would be better to sent out those feedbacks and reports as of now.

This is how the keyword works on google search, taking the most used keywords by the searchers and then matching to the most related and closed. And here, it is related to the Bitcoin.com.
The problem is actually not in the details but on the search keyword display. The detail clearly explains that Roger Ver. is the CEO of Bitcoin.com, not the CEO of Bitcoin. Let's see what I highlighted in yellow.

But I also agree to give feedback in order to remove the misinformation. For, the newbies may be misunderstanding it when searching the information and thinking that the CEO of Bitcoin is Roger Ver. Done giving feedback.

Well, Wikipedia, everyone can make the writing and can edit them. Therefore, sometimes, the information is not valid. Therefore, we cannot use Wikipedia as the reliable sites when making some scientific reports or writing  
However, when I open the explanation by Wikipedia on that searching, wiki doesn't state that Roger Ver is the CEO of Bitcoin. The site only gives information about a website in which the domain name is bitcoin.com and the CEO of Bitcoin.com is Roger Ver, not the CEO of Bitcoin. bitcoin.com is also an old website and it doesn't state that this site belongs to Bitcoin. So, it is not about reliable or not.

Today is Roger Ver. I actually liked him before he went to support altcoins.
Tomorrow can be Craig Wright, then it will be a total scam suggestion from the the top search engine.
I understand that Google's AI logic is not as advanced as our LoyceV's and the sneaky bastard Ver can easily fool it just because he took over the bitcoin.com only to promote his shit coin.
That's why I think the community should be very strict to keep the public information about bitcoin as correct as possible. The path to mass adoption is to build trust, and building trust without reputation is impossible. Those like Ver and Wright now are ruining what many have build for years, preaching their own views as the true and real bitcoin. Bullshit.
I was disappointed when I saw that and I won't leave it like this. Will report it asap.

It was also reported back then that many people are getting scammed by fake Bitcoin and loss tons of money. This is one of the scheme's Roger Ver to increase his fake Bitcoin's market cap and popularity.
Maybe the google algorithm mistakens Roger Ver's Altcoin as the original Bitcoin because the AI scrapes and analyze indexes and display as result, it does not verify it's legitimacy.

Well, Google is not perfect, and sometimes it is misleading. After all, Bitcoin and Bitcoin.com really look like they belong to the same entity. It must have mistaken the latter to be the official website of the former. And since the latter's CEO is Roger Ver, it must have also concluded that Bitcoin is indeed headed by Ver. Which is funny because [1]Bitcoin does not even have a leader and [2]Ver is in fact trying to destroy the reputation of Bitcoin.

I am afraid of the implication of this to the ordinary people. There might be some who think that indeed the coin being promoted by Ver is the real Bitcoin since he is, according to the famous Mr. Google, the CEO of Bitcoin.

In my opinion I'd rather prefer Google not linking to a website. Bitcoin doesn't have an official website in the first place(though of course bitcoin.org is definitely better than bitcoin.com). Though this would be a special case, as it's not like Google is manually adding these information. They're automatically added by their algorithms in the first place.

Bitcoin is a rare case whereas a platform actually has no owner and official website, and obviously the Google algorithm doesn't know that. Repairing problems such as this would probably require manual alterations by a Google employee.

He is the CEO of Bitcoin.com and a .com domain is what google searches to find the CEO of a company.
Bitcoin is not a company and it does not have a CEO. It's an open source project where volunteers contribute.
Searching for the CEO of bitcoin is the stupid thing to start with.

In Bitcoin's Wikipedia entry, the website indicated for Bitcoin is actually bitcoin.org.



It is in Bitcoin.com's Wikipedia entry where the information that Roger Ver is its CEO is indicated. That is of course accurate.

However, it is somehow misleading for Google to show Bitcoin.com's entry when prompted with a search keyword such as "CEO of Bitcoin" or "Who is the CEO if Bitcoin?". But it seems Google cannot produce anything closer to that since Bitcoin itself doesn't have a CEO. And here we have Bitcoin.com having one.

that is a common bug in Google's quick question/answer thingy that they list a bunch of similar looking questions by automatically taking them out of different pages. i encounter it a lot searching about other things too. the page has to have the keyword you are searching (eg. bitcoin) and the other keywords they use in creation of the questions (eg. CEO, company, bitcoin) to build those. in this case it is taking "bitcoin.com", "Company", "CEO" and "Roger Ver" and creates a question/answer like that which makes no sense.

That's pretty smart actually. Maybe he purposely hired some person or an SEO to change the algorithm of google search to promote him? because that's really a good advertisement especially to a lot of new people coming to Bitcoin. Though we should really make a feedback to fix this mistake for some people's google search.

Google seems to be misleading people about the search about bitcoin. Many persons do hit my DM and with calls from referrals of people who know that I am into bitcoin they would say " we have found out how to mine bitcoin from google using an app", one beautiful lady came to my shop, was thinking she wants to learn about bitcoin, only to discovered she had ones been scammed through google search and now found a way to earn free Satoshi with her phone, well she wasn't ready to listen to because she thought google was more intelligent than me.

Let's not be too hypercritical here. It's easy to say for us that have been in this space for a while now. Try taking a look at things in the layman's perspective— as not everyone knows Bitcoin's characteristics in the first place.

To be honest, I don't understand the nature of the question about the CEO of Bitcoin. To me, it sounds like googling 'who's the CEO of USD', as in both cases we're talking about currencies, not companies. And I think that Google does its best by providing an answer which isn't even very misleading, as it says that Roger Ver is the CEO of Bitcoin.com, not Bitcoin. Oh, and speaking of the CEO of the USD, apparently it's Jeff Bezos, lol. Now this result is something I get even less than the one with Bitcoin.com:

Honestly, the answer is correct because Roger is the CEO of Bitcoin.com (which is wallet,news and exchange service provider) but that problem is that google didnt clarify the result from Bitcoin(which is cryptocurrency).

They have false information and nothing more.

Thats because you dont understand that every search engine used what is call spider/crawler automated programs to provide search result and is what every other search engine used.
