It would really come into that situation and yes, its part of this reality where addiction will really lead you into that kind of worst option to take just to fulfill into those things that they had in mind.
For people who are still into their right minds and awareness, then this action is totally dumb but when you are in the situation on where addiction is severe, then your decision making and self-awareness on decisions

Yes, I've heard of worse than that and even the worst.
They must think of the situation that the world is facing today and set aside what they're into. The problem with financial is hitting everybody's pocket and they have to be considerate with the situation and think of how they must spend the money wisely.

This is a very practical suggestion. We should buy the goods ourself for the needy. This will not only help the poor in this pandemic situation but also the funds will be used in the best way. Few of my friends work in charitable organization, i will definitely give them this idea.

They can't use the reason of boredom why they are gambling because it's not enough. And if they are bored, how can they gamble the money they asked from the government that they said they need to feed themselves? They come asking for the government's help looking like they're poor and that they don't have something to eat. But when the government gave them financial support, they will use it in unnecessary things. If they did not receive any help in the first place, they will cry and blame everything to the authorities why they are struggling and starving.

Even the government officials who supposed to be the one to stop people from gambling, they are also gambling. I often see some posts from social media saying that there are some people who are being arrested because they are caught gambling using the money that the government has given to them. The liquor ban has been lifted already here but not in some places but overall, it is not right to use the money they gave to something that isn't important and will not help the whole family. We can't do anything about them I think as we can't change their way of thinking with regards to money.
