I think that happens too in other countries. While people get the fund from their government, they think to use that money for playing gambling which they cannot do before. They want to double the money amount by playing the card games (it is a simple traditional card game which almost all people knows but I don't know much about the card game). This situation is not good to still go out because the pandemic is at around us.

I already see on television about some people get an arrest because they playing card gambling games in one house, and there are many people who join at that moment to search for their family member and give a slap to them.

I agree that the amelioration program by the government should be spent on the necessities for us to survive in this lockdown period. The gambling addicts may tend to sell their properties so they can just play gambling again and this amelioration program of their government will not be worthy for them since they didn't even work to earn that amount, it is freely given to them by the government. This is something their personal choice but yeah when there is a urgency in life one should be saving money and utilizing it properly and we know we cannot be sure in gambling of making money or getting back the money we play our bets. The government targeting poor people, someone who got the covid-19, unemployed people and other people who cant really supporting their life during the crisis. I believe before the government giving some donation to the people, they will make a survey regarding each person who receives the donation. Yeah we all know, government also give some money but most of the donation will be a product like food or other stuff that can be consumed each day money only a certain percentage from the total estimation donation with food and other stuff.

And, a person already out of food a person cannot buying anything he will not really be stupid using the money for gambling activity.

There were cash assistance from our national government distributed to qualified individuals via local government officials, but its inevitable if there's no bias distribution that's going to happen specially we're dealing with money.
Some people recieved the cash assistance even if they aren't financially qualified. Now, the money went into gambling, such as card games, cock fights, and other games that involves money. It's not everywhere in the news because these people are good at hiding from the authorities, only the locals are able to testify without evidence ,not unless If someone took a picture of the actual gambling session, but Im also afraid you'd be walking away with a black eye and broken bones before you can even start recording an evidence.

These people are asking for the government's help because they cannot support their expenses for the whole lockdown. So of course, the government must help people in need. They are giving financial assistance to the poorest of the poor. A lot of people are applying for that financial assistance but not everyone can have it because the budget is only limited. But they are using it to gamble.

It's funny how they cry and get mad at the government for not helping them but when they receive financial assistance, they will use it to gamble instead of buying foods and other necessities. They blame everything to the administration that they have no food to eat but they can't even use the money properly.

It is a very well known fact that those that are addicted to something like gambling, drugs or alcohol will always find a way to try to satisfy their addiction, so even in the current circumstances in which most casinos are closed down by the orders of the government and many people have lost their jobs those that are addicted to gambling are going to keep doing it because they do not know how to function anymore without gambling every day, and it is a shame because that money could be used for something really important like paying for food, utilities or your rent.

  It is actually not that easy to give up an addiction and make no mistake gambling is an addiction as well. Which means if you are approaching like a drug addict, or a smoking addict, or even eating disorder is now seen as addiction, all that is similar to gambling and you should approach the same. We can't really judge those people as long as they are not doing something horrible to their life. As long as they can afford to gamble, and it is just a hobby that doesn't hurt their finances I think it is understandable. Plus, think about it these people are used to gambling on sports, and now they are all stuck at home and quite bored, what do you expect them to do? Just not play and move on?

It will be even harder right now compared to before, at least before they were going to work and were a bit busy, now they are fully doing nothing at all and yet people expect them to not gamble on anything. Obviously they are going to find something, it could be tajikistan or something but they will find it and they will gamble on it no matter what it is.
