So what do you think?

a) wait for the vaccine even it will take years, end of the discussion

b) resume slowly with several considerations such as no audience, limited number of staffs or any important things to do before considering resuming, unless the area or place was heavily affected

Since it's almost impossible to expect a vaccine until the end of the year or maybe the 3rd quarter of the next year, I will go with B but with lots of considerations (But I'm hoping I'm wrong. We all want the vaccine and experts around the world are truly working hard for it).

Sports events are losing a lot and they need some events to keep up, option number two is good and can be implemented a lot of dry runs should be done to attain success, and if we attain success in implementing this, then we can make it continuous events as long as the guidelines are strictly followed, we cannot let an industry like this die when we can have a proper way of implementing it.

I hope the vaccine will develope so we can sure our health is safe from the coronavirus  because many people are scared and even me.
Once we have vaccine we can watch again sports events or we go to stadium without any doubt because vacinne will be there so we cannot get virus but cure is more good to see to develop.

Unfortunately, during this pandemic process we experienced, all sports games such as football, basketball, tennis and similar had to be suspended temporarily. Unfortunately, the economic dimension of the event will have serious consequences. Various sources of income, such as fan income, betting income and advertising income in competitions, are officially gone. In addition, although we do not include it in our account, there is a serious loss from illegal betting and other similar things. It is clear that this situation will cause serious damage. My personal opinion is that from the next days, sports competitions should start again by taking the necessary precautions and assigning the maximum staff. We will see that transfers that will have a serious impact and will not be talked about in this year, probably due to this period where there is no sports competition. I hope the sports community will start again without any further shaking.

Despite all the progress development of vaccine takes time. Testing to determine side effects and real efficiency take even more. Honestly, I don't think this will happen this year.
However, I think that some sport events will take place, no matter if there will be vaccine or not. Some countries have already made new sport events schedule. Of course, that is still very far from normal situations but better something than nothing at all.

The vaccine for this pandemic virus should be made before the sports betting because if the vaccine has not made yet before the sports betting then I think it won't happen, we should make our country free from the virus first before we go for it because if we're not still okay and the sports betting will still continue to proceed then the risk of spreading the virus would exist.

I know that we can still wait for the time that the virus has to give before the sports betting because we should be the ones who will kill the virus by staying at home. We can do some other things like online gambling so we can prevent the boredom as of this community quarantine.
If the spread of the virus is already fully contained in a particular country even before a vaccine is discovered, I think sports events could be opened for public viewing.

No audience sports games under circumstances in which the transmission of the virus is still going on should not be allowed. Protecting the people by prohibiting them from attending live to such events while exposing the players to possible infection seems not right to me.
That should be what happened, we can continue the sports betting as long as there is no audience on those sports, we can each online at our home so we can still be able to do social distancing.

No tall sporting events can continue, contact sports is quite risky, the only sporting events that has a good chance to continue are those with lesser contact to their opponents like dart, chess and volleyball but boxing wrestling is risky but if they can come out a guidance and a restrictions and a full monitoring then they can proceed.

Most sports events are halted, suspended, postponed, and canceled because of the pandemic virus for about to 1-2 months now. Within that short period, the damage is serious so I can't imagine if it will take a year or over.

Seen several posts here about the vaccine that should be made first before resuming. It makes sense and the best thing to do but providing the timeframe of creating a vaccine against Covid-19 that might take a year(s), is the world can afford to wait for that vaccine?

So what do you think?

a) wait for the vaccine even it will take years, end of the discussion

b) resume slowly with several considerations such as no audience, limited number of staffs or any important things to do before considering resuming, unless the area or place was heavily affected

Since it's almost impossible to expect a vaccine until the end of the year or maybe the 3rd quarter of the next year, I will go with B but with lots of considerations (But I'm hoping I'm wrong. We all want the vaccine and experts around the world are truly working hard for it).
Neither of the two imho.

We do need the vaccine asap but we do know that this one do still have that indefinite timeframe on when this vaccine or cure would be available so we dont have any choice but to follow up
procedures to lessen the widespread or the situation becomes more worst with virus infection.

I do really understand why there are some who do really make such desperate moves as long they can able to make events yet they do know that this situation will surely fucked
up the entire economy if we dont do anything. We can proceed but with more stricter process since we know on what situation we are into.

I'll go with B too. Slowly resuming games/events with a limited number of individuals that can go. It would turn out tix or whatever pass needed to enter become a first come, first serve basis having a certain amount amount of people to accomodate while still following guidelines of the authorities, but before getting in, one must show no symptoms, temperature must be ain't nowhere near at risk of having a fever, and lastly ain't sick. It can be handle, in some many ways, events need to have strict rule to abide that would control viewers on maintaining distance to one another, and some conditions to at least avoid getting infected. This kind of conditions should only be allowed to a places with the least number of infected, best if it doesn't have any or a virus free due to number of recoveries, of course. The other problem here that should be look at and reassess, is those people who can't be measure by those materials if it is sick, or what and doesn't even show symptoms but carries the virus, in other words asymptomatic. It is still terrifying, since one slight of mistake on maintaining distance, or forgetting to cover faces when sneezing or coughing, touching someone or random thing, can lead to bringing someone's life near death, and that is the biggest dilemma whether to risk it or not. But anyway, if it were to insist on continuing the event, those thing I mentioned must be met. Otherwise, they would be in letter A.

The sources I read say there won't be a vaccine. Never. Not a functioning one at least. Correct me If I am wrong but I recently read that there isn't a vaccine that works against RNA viruses yet. Not even one. If this information is true, we will have to wait for a loooong time.

I'd rather wait for a medicine.

In my own opinion, B is a good choice that we slowly resume games and other events with a limited number of individuals and no audiences for entertainment and shows will continue. But there will still be some chances that the virus will continue to spread if we let other people to go outside or public places. So A is the best choice that we should really wait for the vaccine or the cure, even it would take for years because it the safest thing to do for the virus not to spread any longer and it would be good for doctors and nurses not to take care more patients.

That's said mostly because virus keeps on morphing to new strain. Not every coronavirus around the world now are same and not a single vaccine would work for them. Vaccine is one of the multiple ways to contain it. Though such pandemic often controls itself as virus changes itself to a less severe form.

As from the news there are scientists from the different countries around the globe who are now creating their own vaccines for covid19 and simultaneously trying to apply for those covid patients and see if there is any progress or if they will be healed because of the vaccine. I hope that before this year ends, they have the vaccines to cure the patients.

Vaccines don't cure patients. Vaccines are for the healthy people so that they'd be resistant against the viral infection. Every individuals needs to be vaccinated and we also needs better medicine but still we would need to limit social contact for at least the whole of 2020 to be completely free of this virus.

The Coronavirus is a reality that we are facing. Medical specialists see the holding of the Olympic Games in 2021 as unavoidable without a Coronavirus vaccine.
As far as we know, scientists are working hard to get an effective vaccine as soon as possible.

As we cannot stop for a long time, the countries that are overcoming the crisis are opening their economies under strict hygiene measures, social distancing, and the use of masks. The return will not be the same, we must be cautious, take care of our health and that of others.

The answer depends on your situation like if a country is heavily infected by coronavirus or there aren't much covid-19 infected person in your country then the sports can be continued since the country have less infected people. Even if creating the vaccine will take months or year but the blood of the infected people who recovered from the virus can ve used to create plasma and will help those who got infected to recover.

Maybe we can just based on what will be the reaction of the US in this crisis we are at now.

For sure they are also thinking of the ways to resume boxing events despite of the pandemic that is going on, if the US which has been heavily affected by the virus will be able to host a boxing event, then other countries can certainly do the same,  provided they have some safety measures too.

I don't think they would risk it like that.

Despite the low infection of the country, I don't think they will be allowing sports events to continue or take place unless it is an event they can do online like esports. If they will be doing a sports event, they are just making the infection rare higher and that would also mean that it will increase people infected. Always remember that there are asymptomatic cases.

Indeed the best option is to wait for the vaccine to be found, it's the safest choice in my opinion. But the problem is we don't know when
the vaccine is can be found. Waiting too long will be dangerous, because the sports industry will die. That means there is no other choice,
we must not keep silent. We must dare to take risks, all sports must be opened and started again. Of course by still obeying convid-19
protocol. As there is no crowd, always keep a distance, and exercise equipment spray disinfectant regularly.

The NBA was planning for a resume, infact some of the facilities has been prepared to be use.
It's not impossible to resume if they will impose a strict preemptive health security measures, like prohibiting the players and staff to go out from the facility until the season ends or if the pandemic finds its cure. Of course, they will play without the crowd, just the live cameras.

But, also before resuming they still need to re-test everyone just to make sure they are all cleared upon playing to avoid the corona spread in the league.

I guess we can bet again when NBA resume. Its never easy without ball games to watch. The association will have to impose strict security for it, those athletes are insured worth millions, the insurance companies would have to really have to exclude covid infect in their policies.

UFC is also resuming but just as things had changed, we might be seeing more PPV fees to also rise.
