I agree that a working and legal vaccine should be out first before sports event takes place. It will surely take a year or so if researchers are unlucky to find good results but waiting for this will be worth it. Atleast sports organizations and athletes will feel way safer than risking doing events while this pandemic is still on and no working vaccine is out.

IMO, as long as people do research and always trying, it isn't impossible to find out the vaccine. But yes, the problem is no definite time about it.

How can? AFAIK, the rapid test is an important part to know whether someone is exposed to a virus or not. Even if it is not the ultimate test to know the result, it is required to analyze early symptoms.

It's useless wait for a vaccine to resume sport activity.
There are some phases to have a product ...
-  development (ok clickbaiting but there is any company that have a product developed)
- testing (it requires TIME a lot of time) and approved by regulatory agencies
- production (and there are already production for these type of product so probably it can't be possible adapt implants in a faster time)
- distribution
- administration to people

No guys it's clearly impossible.

There are already some test developed for easy and quick detection of COVID19, plus there are some companies that are developing a "saliva test" (same efficacy as tampon test but MORE QUICK results).

You think athletes should be in contact with COVID to be immune? that's your point?

I mean, even though you follow safety precautions to stop COVID, it's really difficult for you to have contact with the other athletes for now. It's impossible to implement sporting events like this that won't have any incidence with COVID-19 cases and as you are subjected to an area that consists of a lot of participants, the risks of contracting the virus are getting higher.

I hope no one since it's not ethic and a "non-sense" scientifically speaking.
You can't know if a person can develop antibodies and be immunized against disease.
You can't know how many times these antibodies will be active.
Some people has already taken more than one time COVID19. Other people have been infected for a lot of time (even months!).
What we do in the meantime? Waiting for negative tampon of a player? No training? No interactions with other players?
No this is not a solution it was already implemented at a certain point

generally speaking to have a new pharmaceutical product you should ideate, test (in silico, cells, animals humans), analyze data, etc etc. I am pretty sure we need time to have a vaccine but I hope to see a product as soon as possible.
It's impossible say an exact time.

Develop antiviral drug (I mean in this case a product not preventive like a vaccine) it's very hard plus you can't have a product valid for all patients in every stage of disease.

As I have told you can be sure that sport will resume even without a vaccine, personally I have no doubts

If fans really love their favorite teams or players, best for them to watch the game at home support the sport communities by subscribing
to pay per views, its a simple way to show support.
Limiting fans and viewers from the whole crowd also avoiding the players to be infected by this virus, the lesser the chance of this virus to

Even if some fans still decided to go to a sporting event, for sure that organizer and staff won't allow them to enter the said event because it will violate the protocols and it's hard to implement social distancing if the audience is allowed. Most probably that event organizer will just broadcast sports games online so fans can still watch the game.

But I think contact sports can still resume once the place is kinda safer with less positive cases of COVID. Once they made sure that athletes are safe and negative from any viruses, I think they can still resume contact sports because we can't just wait for the pandemic to cease before we can watch our favorite sports.

sports are already starting to open again yet the vaccine is not cleared so it is the other way around,the sports will start the events even without the cure.

anyway most of the games can be done though without real life audience because of the social distancing.

also i think that most of indoor games can be done anytime without fans .
