The majority crypto user has move to an exchange who has a good volume. As an example, the most exchange that is used by most crypto user is binance exchange. In this exchange you can meet a lot of altcoin and have a good volume. So as the chance to gain a lot of profit is widely open rather than you choose an exchange which is not popular. Although both exchange that you mentioned is popular in a few years ago because I was the user of both exchange. As for altcoin season I guess it is on the way to come, you can see the BAT token price that is increasing drastically.

Silent? I don't think so. Those exchanges are old exchanges which have reputations among the other exchanges, and until now, those exchanges still active to add a new token or coins. The volume is not too small than the other exchanges, but yes, if you compare with binance, both poloniex and bittrex has a small volume. Those exchanges still survive even in the downtrend or bear market, and now, both exchanges still trying to rise again. And with binance, I am sure that those exchanges can increase the volume.

yes of course after halving bitcoin will provide a good movement in the altcoin exchange where there will be many who experience price increases, now you only need to prepare a good altcoin and potentially rise after halving then you can sell it at high prices.

This is right, is a kind of pattern there, first we see bitcoin on the bump while altcoins crash, then when bitcoin goes down the alts bump. It doesn't always happen like this but most of the times it does, Yesterday we see it clearly.

Poloniex created more awareness recently with JUST coin if you've been following, this might drive in more people to participate in their future IEO. I didn't know Justin Sun still got the hype thing working. About your topic, alt season which does not relate to the body of your post, alt season will only come when Bitcoin uptrend and huge market dominance reduces after halving. Anyways, some alts like ETH and NEO have been doing great.

About your title, I don't think anyone knows when altcoins season will start, we can only but trade and hold the potential coins we trust in. Secondly, about those two exchanges, while comparing few years ago to now I tend to understand your point, they were huge and widely known with most projects running after them but nowadays the circle has changed and it is now the likes of Binance, OKEx, Kucoin etc. Hence the reason it's good to embrace change and innovation.

No one knows exactly but i think we will see alts value growing from now on especially in usd pairs for real bulls and mooning i think we still have to hold for around a year more and i do not think it is a bad ask considering the huge percentage profit so a person like me will try to accumulate more good coins before the party really starts.

One cant comment or post without having a reason for that, for the fact they kept silent doesn't mean they are dead all I know is both exchangees are still functional and I guess when they have what to post they will definitely post. Things are a bit low because of bitcoin halving as everyone is anticipating it.

Altcoin season are memorable bull runs for most 90% altcoins in the crypto currency space; the last time i experienced one was during the bull seasons of 2017; and if i am being honest to you; the next altcoin bull season will be when there are another rounds of bitcoin bull run.

Until then, trade judiciously and always do your own research.

I truly doubt if anyone has an answer to this question. What you have as answers to this question are mere projections and so called analyzed predictions. However, I think the altcoins season will soon be upon us going by the current boom in the industry and the upcoming Bitcoin halving. It is believed that, the rally of Bitcoin towards halving will greatly influence the market conditions and prices of most altcoins.

at this time it is still not certain that this is an altcoin session because there are still no top 20 altcoins that do bull run so just wait until there is an altcoin that does bull run then it can be a trigger for other altcoins.

Numbers tell the story, binance and bittrex are two big exchanges, but they are not the biggest holders! But they are probably somewhere on the top. I think their moves make a lot of noise, with their actions they can move the price in some direction, but for next season, entire crypto season, we don't need big holders, we need fresh blood! I will just remind you about something we discussed here, what we saw from crypto until now was all on people, and some companies here and there, and look where bitcoin is now and other alts. Next wave will be bigger because we can expect more people, but even more companies and maybe some big names. That fresh blood and all their money in crypto is what we need to start next season!

Many users really wait for altcoin season to come but the point is we could not give accurate answer when it will happen. We could assume once halving even happen and marker will boom possibly altcoin will show progress in the market. Bittrex is an old exchange and existing until now for sure they will have announcement that may catch the attention of the users.
