My prediction was off by about 7 minutes 

I am happy to have witnessed my first bitcoin halving. By the time the previous one happened I was just getting to know about bitcoin from a couple of friends who were using it for transaction to and from ponzi scheme websites. Luckily i didn't end up joining them.

That was a pretty good summary eality. Congrats to BitCryptex and other winners! Thank you everyone for participating!

Popularity was higher than I anticipated and people seem to enjoy it so as suggested, this server will continue.
We managed to whip up some contests hours before the halving, I think it would be fun to have more of those. And in general, come up with things that help/complement the Bitcointalk experience.
Ultimately, Discord is a different beast all together and in a best case scenario, down the road new users might discover Bitcoin and Bitcointalk through it.

As expected there are only few on the server since this is Meta and few people are way more active here. I'll just read back the rest of the replies there for a knowledge of what's been done so far from the party. During the last halving, I had the pleasure of being in the middle of a peer to peer bitcoin trade with a fellow bitcoiner. I don't think it was a particularly large trade, nor one that I made a substantial amount of money on, but it was appropriate given the circumstances.

This halving, I did not have that same opportunity, in part because it occurred during a work day, and in part because it occurred in the middle of a pandemic. 

Hopefully, everyone had a happy halving, and I wish for everyone to see many more halvings.

Yes, it is really sad to say that BTC did not doubled overnight. As expected, people already learned from the mindblowning scenario of 2017, when the price triggered by FOMO and later on declined. As well as there is also a pandemic that the world confronting right now.

But remember, there is no specific time for bull run. Even, rome didn't built for one night. So, just stay your BTC in your wallet because probably, there will be a huge pullback anytime soon.

Great decision to keep the server live with all active community user. Due to personal workload i missed the halving contest but next time i am gonna take part to make the competition harder for some of my mates . Thanks for keeping it live for better purpose.

Although its purpose was to celebrate the moment of bitcoin halving but we can expect that a good amount of discord users will get the privilege of discovering Bitcointalk and Bitcoin through this.

Don't you worry about the price,  according to the previous halvings it doesn't spike immediately. We will probably go for a few months before the mooning or its will be something gradual.
