Also some pizzas have multiple photos, I remember only 1 photo in the rules.
Inserting more pictures in the gallery is good because some people put the expository process of the pizza that is from the beginning of the baking to the finish product which is a good process. But if the rule says, it is one (1) pizza well that might be good has well but many people will cheat by going to the restaurant and buy a pizza and display only one image without the process of baking and for me that is not nice.

I will repeat what I've said in previous years: This is supposed to be a fun little* event. If someone tries to ruin the fun they will likely be disqualified anyway. And if this stops being fun for people it will stop being organized. Let's call this a social experiment with prizes. From the start, I didn't want to create rules for every conceivable case, caveat and exemption. There is no such thing as a perfect system anyway. So far nobody ruined our fun and am hoping this will continue this year!
* This is not such a little event anymore. Las year we had a record 50 entries, now over double that... 113 pizzas! Thank you @John Abraham for you help in posting the (many) entries that were missing.
As every year, I truly am hoping our fun won't be spoiled this year either because some of us have some big ideas for next year's event!
If I can suggest a valid alternative for next year, I suggest you keep the contest within the forum and use the merit system for voting with the max limit. of only 1 merit as a vote. This does not allow external votes and keeps the vote closely linked to the pizza and its success.

To be honest, I think the voting system should be changed as it's really funny at the moment (because some of the pizzas on display are culinary arts). But at the same time, these pizzas did not receive due attention. I see that in the discord all pizzas got 1 vote each while two pizzas got 10 votes each (to be honest I think someone texted friends or something like that). As long as voting is done on Discord, there will be some sort room for manipulation. Something similar happened in the first contest, when one of the participants invited his friends (that had no connection with bitcointalk whatsoever) + bunch of brand new Discord accounts voted for him so (obviously made just for that ocassion) so in the end he shared the first place with me. The only way to avoid something like that is if only verified accounts (Discord members who are also part of bitcointalk) of certain rank can vote, but I don't know how feasible is to do something like that. Or to have voting done on bitcointalk.

I totally agree with you, everybody can vote on Discord, I don't understand why the voting isn't kept within the forum so it's possible to see who voted for who and whether the account is legit or not based on the registration date.

That's why it's good if participants upload the making process images also but I think it should be that they resize them so it fits to the post otherwise many post huge size images but this is fun contest so let it be same it's intended to be free from any rules and restrictions. I will repeat what I've said in previous years: This is supposed to be a fun little* event. If someone tries to ruin the fun they will likely be disqualified anyway. Yeah this is just fun event to remember the pizza day and see how members here present their skills in different manners so fun part should not be spoiled by anyone. But for few members you should not think this event should be discouraged but we are seeing progress as this year many have took this as opportunity so keep up the good work man and fun is leading factors of these events. So request participants to submit their entry and rest leave with voting system. So @fillippone are you ready to defend your long carried on pizza batch this time also ?

In that case, I would like to add an additional 5 mBTC to the prize pool (on behalf of MixTum). However, if we come up with some more transparent and at the same time simple and fun way to vote, I would make sure that next year the prize pool would be several thousand dollars in bitcoins.

I'm not sure if something like this could be developed on discord but on Telegram in the Bitcointalk Italia forum we already have a bot where you can verify your account with that of the forum and we could also develop the voting system in order to keep it as fair as possible with the only possibility to have verified users vote.

Simply members with merits can vote, 1-2-3+ merits always count as 1 vote anyway and that's it. Is it perfect? No, but for sure it's easier to "recognize" the users and people can't make new accounts or telling friends that have nothing to do with the forum. We can also add a registration date, for example only users with at least 6 months of posting can vote. Discord is just a mess and there is plenty of space to cheat, it totally kills the contest.

I know that you have best intentions, but if people keep adding more money to this contest, it will just create more drama and there will more complaints and more cheat attempts. Thats simply how it goes around here. Imho, pizza badge should be reward enough and that way you would eliminate a lot of bad things from happening and still keep it somewhat fun and relax contest.

I think the voting system should be changed as it's really funny at the moment (because some of the pizzas on display are culinary arts). But at the same time, these pizzas did not receive due attention. I see that in the discord all pizzas got 1 vote each while two pizzas got 10 votes each (to be honest I think someone texted friends or something like that). Yes. They did. The Irony is that they did not ask their friends to review other pizzas and vote if they liked them. In such a way, Voting can be manipulated. But, As long as I remember, asking your friends to vote for you is allowed. Last year fillippone posted in the Wo thread and invited WO Bros to vote, if I am not wrong. That's more acceptable. But, when you ask your friends to vote for you in private, people with the worst pizza with a big friend circle could win the competition. It's not about the prize at all, I just wanted to speak out because I think that the organizer of the competition should have chosen, say, the 10 best pizzas (in own subjective opinion). And then put them to a vote. I am sure that in this case sponsorship contributions would be much more significant and I also took care of it.
Well, This is the fourth year, and the the last three seasons were fair (If I am not wrong). I don't think the organizer expected that much submission or exposure this year. Since everyone was doing fair, he might think this year it will be like those as well. I think asking your friends to vote should not be allowed because they will vote only for you. But, the problem is you cannot monitor it. You would never know if someone asked their friends to vote for them. Your Suggested Idea is not bad. But, then other participants may get disappointed because they might think their effort wasted. I guess I've seen poll voting system in either Pie Baking contest or Pumpkin Curving contest. How is that worked in your opinion? In my personal opinion: "Fuck the discord" (I know, I know, I know.. it's a bit of a strong way to make this particular point.. but still, sometimes a wee bit of emphasis seems like it might fit).I cannot even remember why there was some kind of need to conduct the contest there and to engage in a bad habit of luring members away from this here forum, when we already have a more or less lovely forum (#nohomo) here and a seemingly decent way to verify if someone happens to be a member of the forum or not.. and voting within the forum is possible since a variety of voting has been carried out in various forum contests in the past. Anyhow.. that's my opinion... and if there is some kind of reason for having had moved this particular contest over to discord that I am failing/refusing to remember or perhaps a good one (if that's even possible?), then I am more than willing to reverse my opinion as it currently stands, as ill-informed as it might be, currently. I will repeat what I've said in previous years: This is supposed to be a fun little* event. If someone tries to ruin the fun they will likely be disqualified anyway. And if this stops being fun for people it will stop being organized.
Personally, I still believe it is fun - even if some of us (including yours truly) might disagree (or be disagreeable) about some of the parts. Let's call this a social experiment with prizes. From the start, I didn't want to create rules for every conceivable case, caveat and exemption. There is no such thing as a perfect system anyway. So far nobody ruined our fun and am hoping this will continue this year!

hahahahahaha Kind of like bitcoins.. aka dee cornz.. aka my lil precious... aka honey badger Can you scale? and do you (the "pizza contest" system) have staying power? Time will tell. Time will tell. [edited out]
If I can suggest a valid alternative for next year, I suggest you keep the contest within the forum and use the merit system for voting with the max limit. of only 1 merit as a vote. This does not allow external votes and keeps the vote closely linked to the pizza and its success. I might well admit that this is much better said (more diplomatically phrased) than mine.. and even posted prior in time to mine. this is fun contest so let it be same it's intended to be free from any rules and restrictions.
That's a bit of a loosey goosey definition of fun. I can think of a lot of situations in which fun is contained within some boundaries, and therefore having some boundaries and guidance might well allow for the games to be more fun - largely because everyone would be on notice regarding what are the parameters of the game.. even if there may also be a large number of informalities contained within the rules (guidances).

Really this Pizza Contest is a good fun in the forum, and nobody can spoiled it. If I wished, I could enter inside and eat all the attractive Pizzas. And I also thanks icopress for his donation to the greatest event in the forum. From what I am seeing here, next year event will be mightier than ever. And I going to participate next year event with my yum yum Pizza. I was not well prepared this year.

It makes cheating much easier, that's for sure. And unfortunately, when there is money incentive there will always be certain amount of people that will try to cheat. I didn't even know there was a Bitcointalk Discord server and I don't understand the point, where should we discuss? On the forum? On Discord? Then what about Telegram? Maybe I'm old school (or just old) but the forum is more than enough, I don't get why posting on the forum and then posting also on Discord and voting there, and all the merits earned on the forum (for the pizzas) are pointless. And not everyone has/uses Discord. It's my first year participating but it's all very confusing to be honest. In that case, I would like to add an additional 5 mBTC to the prize pool (on behalf of MixTum).

I'm totally down for the pizza badge alone, and I would make it permanent, not just for one year. If someone wins again then he'll have 2 badges instead of one.

I'm not sure if it's cheating, it's like saying "hey that man is stealing the freebies" if they are freebies he's not stealing.
In what world using alt accounts in order to manipulate voting in your own (or someone else's) favor is not cheating? I didn't even know there was a Bitcointalk Discord server and I don't understand the point, were should we discuss? On the forum? On Discord? Then what about Telegram? Maybe I'm old school (or just old) but the forum is more than enough, I don't get why posting on the forum and then posting also on Discord and voting there, and all the merits earned on the forum (for the pizzas) are pointless. And not everyone has/uses Discord. It's my first year participating but it's all very confusing to be honest. I think that it was just an attempt to give bitcointalkers another way to communicate and it even worked at the beggining but somehow along the way people (myself included) lost the interest. Discord is relatively similar to forum as you can have many different channels for different type of conversations but I guess people were never really interested in it but I have no doubt that it would be very popular if it had signature campaigns like here on bitcointalk.

This is probably one of the largest Bitcointalk Pizza Party contest, but I have to say that I am surprised by the amount of crap some people posted as pizza. We need to have something like alternative shame voting for worst submissions, this people need to learn what pizza is, you can't put lemon, potato and call it a pizza. Anyway, good luck everyone. I see that in the discord all pizzas got 1 vote each while two pizzas got 10 votes each (to be honest I think someone texted friends or something like that).
Or they created multiple accounts... just sayin. In that case, I would like to add an additional 5 mBTC to the prize pool (on behalf of MixTum).
Very nice gesture. I saw your submission and it's not bad at all, you have one of my votes I'm not sure if it's cheating, it's like saying "hey that man is stealing the freebies" if they are freebies he's not stealing.
What kind of crazy statement that is?! You can still cheat and steal stuff from other people even if they say they got it for free.

Excuse me but where is it written that one cannot share one's work outside the forum when the contest already takes place outside the forum? I'm with you when you say keep the awards on the forum but it was probably done on Discord because some popular users on the forum would get votes for their rank or liking they have on Bitcoin talk. So the regulation doesn't prohibit external votes, or am I wrong?
