Isn't it petulino who won? Block 795100's hash ended in a letter (and icopress said to "start over" if that happened). Doesn't that mean that block 795101 (which ended in a 3) should be used instead?

My condolences to Pixie85.... the prize for the top 10 raffle (A Ledger Nano X, right?) seems like such a thing that no one, who is anyone who deserves to have nice things, should want to have.. especially since your coins do not seem secure in such a thing that the company had even admitted that it was not secure (that they could move your coins if they were to update the firmware.. but that you have to trust that the firmware has not already been updated with such a backdoor... since it is closed source)... ..

I suppose that there could be wishes that the company is just communicating badly - or if you are a shitcoiner, then maybe you are already predisposed to gambling with where you hold your value.. since shitcoins can be rugpulled from you anytime anyhow.. so yeah, maybe hold shitcoins there.. but even with holding shitcoins there, I would still hate to log into my wallet and not find the "digital assets" there that I thought that I had.. ...

I would not want to be putting they private keys to any BTC into a device that I erroneously believed was "cold storage" and it really is not "cold storage."  Maybe treat it as a hot wallet, rather than a cold storage wallet might be a solution....and therefore ONLY put very small amounts of value on that device..  perhaps that could be a kind of solution that you would not lose any sleep over the security of the coins that you hold on that device?

I already have a nano S and I haven't updated it when they added that recover option or whatever they're calling it. I guess the backlash is big enough to make them turn this into an optional update, or they'll go bankrupt because no big investor will choose them over devices that cost the same and offer more protection like trezor.
On their page they say that it's optional and you have to enable the recover option to have the key sent to a third party. That's the first time I'm reading about it because I have not touched my wallet for the last 3 months. I hope the spiders didn't make a nest or something.

A hardware wallet still makes a nice gift to popularize bitcoin among friends and family even if you're to scared to use it yourself. I wouldn't hold a million dollars on it, but someone who wants to start investing and spend less than a thousand bucks to own some bits and learn to use the system can still choose ledger. Furthermore, I've read they did some changes and are going to make the update open source.

Following this year's contest, which was extremely successful, with a record number of submissions, a record number of votes, probably a record number of voters, and a subsequent record level of drama, I hope next year's contest will be even more successful.

As the contest hit some hard limits on the discord platform (Cyrus had to open three different voting channels) and soft limits (a Bitcointalk contest where users outside the forum are allowed to vote without even ever landing on the forum itself is a weird way to promote the forum), I think it’s time to take this contest fully back into the forum.

Promoting a discord server is a very smart idea (on the Italian board, we did something similar with the Telegram Forum as well), but I think this should be done differently.

Regarding the Pizza contest, I think we haven’t reinvented the wheel, as we only need to take an example from the successful contests held on the forum, namely the pie baking contest.

In the Italian board, we tried to discuss a possible set of rules for the next contest.
I am going to post it here as a contribution to future discussions, hoping that you might find it interesting.

• Pizza must be made by yourself
• Pizza should be Bitcoin-related (you could even include a homage to bitcointalk ).
• The definition of a pizza, per Merriam-Webster, states:

• In order to be qualified, you should post
  
  • a picture containing your homemade pie+ a piece of paper with your username and date;
  • a picture of the pizza in the making
  • Only one pizza per user

• Competition will be held in two phases:
  
  • 1st Phase - From 12th May 2024 (00:00 GMT) to Bitcoin Pizza Day, 22nd of May 2024 (23:59:59 GMT): This is where all the users are free to submit their entries
  • 2nd Phase - Voting process from 23rdth of May 20924 to 3rd of June 2024 (23:59:59 GMT).
  • Winners shall be announced on the 5th of June 2024.

• During this phase, users are only able to vote in 1 entry from the 1st Phase but are free to edit their vote until the 2nd phase ends.
• No merit sending is allowed from nominees to users who nominated them
• No minimum entries for the contest to run - No matter the submissions that we have, the prize pool will be distributed accordingly;

I totally agree with @fillippone, the competition for sure would benefit from some changes and improvements, it became very popular so it's harder to manage and we should try avoiding any kind of cheat.

Besides all above suggestions @fillippone just came up with another very interesting idea in the Italian section, which would be the anonymous submission in order to avoid people voting a certain pizza just because the user who made is "popular". I second that and I was also suggesting that the participants should take one picture with their username and one without so the winner(s) can later submit the same picture but this time with their username tag to confirm they actually made that pizza.
