We are still now under community quarantine because of the COVID-19 and I know lost of us are getting bored because we cannot do other things from the outside, but let me change that way, staying home is the safest way to prevent the virus from spreading, we can do other things at home, like online learning, online jobs, etc.

I have seen a website containing news about the crypto world, have a look at this site: https://cointelegraph.com/ I really love this website because they update news day by day. Let us all make our time more productive by reading and learning things.

This forum also a great source of information about the crypto world as well, I enjoyed reading some threads here,

Some great sources of news about the crypto world.
https://www.coindesk.com/
https://news.bitcoin.com/

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Welcome to this forum buddy, we should spend our time in more productive things like learning from home and doing some things that will benefit us from the future. Reading and understanding the crypto world will make you more updated about the crypto world happenings.

Thanks for sharing that kind of information, I hope that some beginners would do the same because I have seen so many posts created by the beginners asking on how they will going to earn money from this forum, which is not really good because this forum has made for learning purposes. This would help us know more things about the crypto world and that is why I love exploring and reading threads in this forum.

Coindesk and Coin Telegraph are a good source of news about cryptocurrency, but beware sometimes because they have some posts in their social media that is sponsored by some altcoins, but nothing is wrong, I still follow them.
I am just more updated on their social media accounts, especially twitter: https://twitter.com/CoinDesk, https://twitter.com/Cointelegraph ,
once they share some of their articles, that's the time I check the article since I am more active on Twitter.

I prefer going through the information shared on twitter, Checking the comment box for relevant contributions and arguments. And also most of the tweets come from famous cryptocurrency Influencers so they are trusted information.

I think Telegram gives better information about crypto on social media than Twitter. Telegram is far more popular than Twitter when it involves performing on crypto Everyone gets all the updated information about crypto through a telegram from the start. Twitter keeps tons of data secret when it involves using their own currency.

There are plenty of websites out there to get your news from, so I'd rather do something else than check each one: just go over some search engine like DuckDuckGo or Google, search a term you're interested in and choose "News" up there on the loaded page. Lots of filters and includes all websites out there that specific engine has crawled. It's much better imo.

But anyway, if you spend enough time on the forum you won't even need to look for any news anymore as you'll find everything out - even those you won't find on Google's news - by simply browsing the forum and reading posts. Smiley

I personally dislike solely reading crypto news sites. After reading, I always want to read what people's opinions are, so I frequently use Twitter for news. Simply follow the reputable people who are focused on development rather than drama, and you're good. I would suggest Reddit but unfortunately it's mostly crap now. Especially r/cryptocurrency which is pretty much an anti-bitcoin pro-NANO subreddit nowadays.

I think all crypto spaces & domains that were pro-BTC have swapped their poles partially. Only very few remained, out of which I think I can only name bitcoin.org which still stands on the same supportive position it was on a decade ago. I wish I could say BitcoinTalk is one of them too, but unfortunately it's been invaded by supporters of completely garbage coins and most of those claiming to be "pro-bitcoin only" are actually shills of some useless shitcoins. The Bitcoin section is still doing fine though..

Well true. I mostly just read the quite older tweets/retweets(probably 4 hours+ old) as to somewhat filter the useless posts to the bottom as the useful replies gets liked to the top.

I think all crypto spaces & domains that were pro-BTC have swapped their poles partially.
Unfortunately that's what happens if a certain platform is easily swayed by bots and account farms.

Nah. Telegram and Twitter are really different from each other.
What I am saying is the twitter account of those said news providers in the first post, those providers got their own twitter accounts which you can easily follow them and get updated since most of their tweets are their articles. But I think they got also telegram channels where they also post their articles there.

True! Reading replies from other people could really make a difference to avoid being biassed on some point and make you realize things between two opposing ideas. However, can you suggest some of the notable person you are currently following?

I've got peter schiff, planb, achow101, tone vays, nicholas merten, erik voorhees, adam back, roger ver, andreas antonopolous, jameson lopp, brian armstrong and any other twitter account of popular crypto website. What do you think?

LOL funny how you included Peter Schiff there. Who else is more obsessed about Bitcoin than Peter Schiff. Tongue But why include Roger Ver tho

Anyway, the people I frequently pay attention on Twitter are mostly the developers and the sort of "Bitcoin economists", as to almost guarantee that I'm going to get good content from them. Though I sometimes love some banter from Udi Wertheimer too.

I first encountered him on a debate with Erik Voorhees that I recently watched on youtube. So, I immediately followed his twitter to see all those laughable tweets he got regarding bitcoin skepticism though at some point I found some of his tweets does make sense. And yeah! I followed him for some entertainment even though he's a complete anagram of a "Perfect Fish"

Anyway, the people I frequently pay attention on Twitter are mostly the developers and the sort of "Bitcoin economists", as to almost guarantee that I'm going to get good content from them. Though I sometimes love some banter from Udi Wertheimer too.

Might be different to find as the "best Twitter accounts to follow" are going to be really subjective, so here are some from my list.

Somewhat technical stuff:

Economic side of Bitcoin:

There's definitely a lot more but I wouldn't want to make this too long lmao.

Twitter is pretty much the only place I bother with these days. It's entirely within your control unlike the crypto 'press' which almost entirely junk. Coindesk is just another dumb fuckhole like everywhere else but with a bigger budget. Find people you respect and follow them.

On the rare occasions I step outside those people I am truly sickened at the tidal wave of mindlessness and stupidity that rushes towards me on there which means my walled garden is doing a good job of keeping me safe.

I would suggest Reddit but unfortunately it's mostly crap now. Especially r/cryptocurrency which is pretty much an anti-bitcoin pro-NANO subreddit nowadays.

Every time I click on r/cryptocurrency I leave a couple of minutes later shaking my head in disgust.

In my case, "shaking my head" is a huge understatement. The number of people there that are heavily focused on transaction speed(and fees) while ignoring security and decentralization are mind boggling. A few times I week I give r/cryptocurrency a chance thinking that it might have changed, and everytime I do visit the subreddit I end up wanting to bash my head on a rock.

Twitter does look better in several aspects, depending on the people who use it. Twitter contains a variety of the latest news that is shared by professionals in the field of cryptocurrency that has been followed by many people. and indeed, they are prominent people on Twitter focusing on developing rather than made-up dramas.

Stories of crypto news like coindesk and other news sites, sometimes containing FUD news are full of dramas that are deliberately made for the benefit of some groups, there are intentions and objectives veiled in the news they share.

at least we have to filter every news we read and not just read one news, but many stories so we can conclude whether it's good news or just a drama.

What I like about following the right people on Twitter? You don't even need to follow these Bitcoin/crypto "news sites" that frequently posts wack and useless content. If you follow the right people on Twitter, chances are, they're going to retweet and post about the actually relevant news anyway. Plus, we also get their opinions!

There sure are a good amount of big-name drama queens though. Without even naming names, some of the biggest drama queens are even CEOs of very relevant Bitcoin/crypto companies.
