@TryNinja Is there a way to change alt names I added by accident? I keep recieving notifications when people start talking about Witcher 3 game. Or. Can you add some additional code so that I wouldn't receive mentions when there is some digit next to "witcher"? The bot itself is perfect though, this is the better version of Piggy's one, which I consider one of the best things ever created to ease our forum life. Keep it up, good job!

Maybe I can add more options to only enable notifications for @mentions and a command that unsets your alternative username, but for now, setting a random string with the /alt command should work (e.g /alt b5WdDyS3ExmUQp).

I received a notification almost exactly an hour ago. It was for a plus-one merit, though.
I just noticed that I got a double notification this morning for a mention. But that was just in the push preview. In Telegram itself it was only once.
Were you correctly notified again for this quote?

I got notification for this post which means the bot is still working.

Still don't know why the bot missed that post. I'll check later, maybe it was edited.

I just checked some logs and the bot didn't manage to scrappe this post (and a few others during a period of ~20 minutes). It shows the scrapper got a bunch of "EAI_AGAIN" errors, which seems to be a network issue (DNS lookup timed out?) from my server provider. I will see if there is anything I can do to fix that. Thanks for reporting, and sorry about that.

I just want to suggests having other useful commands such as:

Didn't had a lot of free time recently but I was doing some experimentations to improve the merit notification time from minutes to a few seconds. Just need to do some testings and maybe find a solution for a few issues. The bot has reached 91 members, so thanks to everyone that helped me - and used the bot - so far.

Seriously?! Only 91 members?! Damn your bot must be endorsed by the forum itself. The first time I tried it was helped me a lot to monitor my activities. Because we all know that notification is what lacks the forum, in which mentions makes a good conversation, and without us knowing it makes it hard to have one.

TBH,  I would like to make a thread for your telegram bot that would tackle reviews about it yet I don't see if it was necessary (I think it was because it will boost your bot's users and will surely help them a lot). Could I make one?

Overall, 4 thumbs up for your work. Soon I'll reply for suggestions I think would be good for the bot and be beneficial to the users.

Not possible since only you has access to your PM's. That would only be possible if people gave me access to their accounts (not an option) or if I created a separated bot that would need to be self-hosted by each member and for their own Telegram bot account.

Where did you send me that? I already added the updated translation that a few users sent me, but I think I may have missed yours. Can you send me them again?

I know that you will have a notification in your registered email here if someone PM's you. Maybe put a filter on bitcointalk in your email application and make sure to push notifications so you would notice the email from the forum. Maybe make your own TG bot for yourself about PM redirected from email or something?

We could ask for special API from theymos. These API could tell us, how many pm to read are there per account.
Without going into details.. I think it's an easy and feasible thing, or not?

I don't expect that to happen. One of the great benefits of user created features is that it doesn't require any server changes. It's less work for theymos, but also more secure by making less changes.

I accidentally noticed this, one user, that I put to ignore, opened a topic about me and blah blah... I got notification only after someone else commented on this topic and mention my username.
This is one case, so maybe is not a rule.

It's intended to work like this. If a ignored user mentions you, you don't get notified. If anyone else not in your ignore list mentions you, you get notified. I think you are  talking about ignoring the whole thread created by an ignored user?

I think this is possible yet the flaw's is Data Privacy, as the API would require password input and I think bots are not that capable to use such informations without being penetrated or leaked. But if the API would rather use redirecting link that can be PM on user's account or a code, I think it's an option.

I think that's more appropriate. I already have this thread on "Meta", so another one would be too much.

Many things could be done, like a web hook feature that would make a request to an URL every time the user receives a PM. But, as Loyce said, I don't really see anything like this happening. And I'm ok with that.

Do you have any plans to add filters to the search function? I'd like to be able to specify the boards and also limit the search to the topic subjects only (I realize that you don't have titles stored for all posts).
