Do you guys realy think a 40$ Billion Networth Guy Hold only 0.25BTC?

These guys have something that we normal people don't. they can see something that will probably make aa lot of sense when they do their things like for example this one. This may be a dumb move because we know how much he could possibly earn if he invests a lot than that. but due to this person doing their own way of investing, we cannot tell that he's doing nonsense. in fact this month get to where he is by doing the things he wants. he might be just kidding when it comes to bitcoin because no matter what happens with it, there's nothing to be lost when his investment failed but seriously guys, we can learn something about this revelation the wisdom behind it might help us to understand the billionaire's perspective.

Yes if JK rowling haven't asked a question "What's Bitcoin" then popular personalities such as Elon Musk wouldn't come out and probably Musk's explanation was the simplest to understand, other answer we're not noob friendly and extremely complicated.

But maybe Elon Musk is just tripping where he is not telling the truth after all. It will cause a massive hype all over the internet if he will reveal the true numbers of the bitcoin he holds. I'm sure that he is now also accumulating bitcoin, he is a billionaire after all and I know that his tweet is not true.

Observe the tweets of Elon Musk, he is talking about bitcoin in the past weeks and months. I know what Binance said was true, expect a billionaire like him that he also holds a lot of bitcoin.

He also tweeted about getting rid of most of his possessions including his houses. What benefit does he get from lying about how much BTC he holds? He has been seen in the past as one of the most provokative CEOs, tweeting about tesla stock whenever he wants which ends up changing the price like crazy. Tesla is known as an extremely volatile stock partially because of Elon himself.

He has no reason to care about Bitcoin. He founded X.com to make online banking a thing so we know he likes to focus on security within payments. I don't find it far-fetched if he actually only owns .25 BTC, his money is probably invested in other areas.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

Considering he believes in Tesla much more than Bitcoin. Yes, we must accept what he said.
But, after all these, In my own idea Bitcoin and any other crypto currency is made to protect your fund's privacy. So, maybe we can't expect anyone to show up his real wallet where he is holding all his bitcoins.
Generally, as I said, I think he said the truth.

By saying he owns ¼ of one BTC, Elon Musk is probably talking about on his portable device thereby taking the attention off of just how many coins he might have in a bank vault on a paper wallet or thumb-drive.

Pleased to meet you.

Having him on the good side of cryptocurrency doesn't mean he holds a lot of it. Maybe he sees the potential in the future that is why he is only holding a few for now? Because I don't think he needs cryptocurrency because of his status. But remember this, even though he doesn't hold much, at least he is still promoting Bitcoin in a good way.

well if you think this is recent them it makes sense since the amount in dollars is reasonable and makes sense. also you don't have to invest billions in bitcoin if you are a billionaire!

but OP's mistake is that he thinks this is recent whereas there is nothing recent about Elon Musk showing interest in bitcoin. and considering he started a very long time ago having only 0.25 bitcoin means he has invested something like $20 to $70 in bitcoin which makes absolutely no sense.
the only logical conclusion is that he is either trolling readers or he is protecting his privacy for some reason that we won't know.

And it doesn't matter what he thinks he believes in because quite frankly nobody cares, he can buy btc or don't buy, market will still continue to grow and develop even bigger,  it is just annoying to see all this so-called rich dude with their half comment on their social media, what is the point of the revelation! That the crypto community will start crying because Elon don't believe in btc!
It is very natural to believe in his Tesla more than btc because it's his creation, his idea, it is the same way satoshi believes in btc, maybe some day he will own more than the current amount.

It is quite difficult to believe that Emusk holds only small amount of bitcoin. I am not sure why would he even mention anything about his holding if he doesn't hold much. He either owns more than what he mentioned or he doesn't hold anything. Former is more believable.

This revelation is due to the fact that there are scam websites in the name of Elon Musk and Tesla circulating on Twitter.

https://www.coindesk.com/twitter-let-a-fake-elon-musk-account-promote-a-crypto-scam

https://auto.hindustantimes.com/auto/news/elon-musk-reveals-his-bitcoin-holdings-here-s-how-much-he-currently-owns-41589725076821.html

These websites offer giweaway to grab incredulous people and scam their BTC and ETH.
Please, be careful.

Do you guys realy think a 40$ Billion Networth Guy Hold only 0.25BTC?
Yeah coz why not? I mean it's not impossible that he is not into bitcoin despite of being rich. He got Tesla and I think that's enough proof that he can be a billionaire even without owning a single crypto. Besides, he is a well known Dogecoin fan that's why he only got .25 btc Grin.

YES BUT that's a Good Point (Tesla is also The future)  also He has Spacex

It always depends. Regardless how rich people are, if not that interested investing in bitcoin or just trying out small amount before buying more is really possible.
Elon Musk is not an exception. Either he is telling the truth or not, he himself can only know that. But the fact that he still invested in cryptocurrency is still an optimistic view.

Who knows? Maybe he only own .25 btc but he owns huge amount in other coins.

I think it's extremely unlikely that he holds 0.25 BTC. For a person with a normal amount of wealth, 0.25 BTC is a reasonable amount to hold. However for a billionaire it makes no sense whatsoever. You would hold either zero, or else an amount that is at least a reasonable proportion of your wealth.

If someone has $10 billion (Musk reportedly has $35b), then 0.25 BTC is roughly 0.000025% of your total wealth. Which means it is absolutely irrelevant to you whether or not it increases by an improbable x1000 to give you 0.025% of your total wealth. In which case there is no point in holding it.

Even 10 BTC would only be 0.001% of your total wealth. So a x100 increase would make it 0.1% of your total wealth. Even with 10 BTC there would be little point in having such a comparatively small amount.
Maybe 100 BTC, which would be 0.01% of your wealth, and x100 would make it 1% ... but that's still a tiny amount.

You mean sort of like how good old Dimon shat on Bitcoin only to buy it shortly after (I still think he did that expressly for the purpose of buying it after trying to crash the price)?

Doesn't matter what Musk holds anyway, the guy who owns and uses $100s of dollars every week is still the one who's going to do more for Bitcoin than any Musk holder on some custodian account ever will.

He either owns more than what he mentioned or he doesn't hold anything. Former is more believable.
Why is everyone jumping to this assumption? What will he gain by lying to the world about his stash? He doesn't seem to be the type to lie about such things.

What you are saying makes no sense whatsoever. Why can't be hold only 0.25 BTC? He probably HODLS a much bigger share of alternate cryptocurrencies or he probably isn't that interested into investing in crypto. This could just be a test amount for him.

Anyone knows about how much doge he owns? Or he is broke in doge too like bitcoin  Tongue
