We need to hear about things before everyone else does and we want to support projects that need to be supported.  At least until we get some wind under our wings, we can become prudes!  (just kidding)

I checked here you already listed the biggest player that we have on the market right now, you can maybe take a look on Decred, BCH and Stellar XLM after those coins you have listed I would go on those ones for sure.

As the name of your company implies "Free", is the listing free too? Whatever, anyway, have you considered the hottest altcoin on the market at the moment - Switch (ESH)? It has a total supply of mere 13.6million and it has done over 1000% increase in price in less than three weeks. It is going to house McAfee's privacy coin in the ratio of 1:1 as McAfee will be airdropping to all ESH holders his GHOST coin on May 25.

Many exchanges are already courting to list it as I type.

Ya, no listing fees.

All of our products aren't free though (we charge fees for the XChange and Swap for example.)

Of course I will have tokens or coins that can already be trusted, such as waves, or you can see the list of top 100 coin marketcap, that's enough for me in the initial stages. it certainly will reduce the risk of coin \ token scam

I agree with @Bolopecah, a good idea could be listing Waves . It's a PoS token with a DEX + token system. You can buy directly with a built-in system your coins with your credit card.
Another crypto widely used is Stellar (XLM), they deserve a "space" and have a good ratio of price USD/BTC.

BTW I think you should setup an objective for your listing since it's not easy find a promising coin to be listed.

I worry that ETC is commonly used to steal from exchanges due to mining power.  Any word on that?

It doesn't cost anything to get a coin listed on FreeBitcoins.com.  I do however have to like the coin to add it for free.

I don't like TRON and I especially don't like Ripple.  I strongly suggest you avoid Ripple.

FreeBitcoin.com? Maybe listing is free I persume. Nevertheless, it is a good idea that the team are looking towards people's opinions of favourite altcoins in order to ensure they list good altcoins that will increase the reputation of the exchange. There are many altcoins in the market, but also wherein others are losing interest from investors, others are still retaining theirs, and those still retaining theirs are top altcoins such as Ethereum. Therefore, if I am to suggest, I would say Ethereum, XLM, ADA, Tezos and so on. Also, since the current trend is still around DeFi, then the exchange can look towards old DeFi projects like ChainLink, as well as upcoming DeFi projects , but in this case have to be selective. I believe through this, more users will take note of the exchange and gradually it will grow.
