I used to have 14 ethereum but I got caught in the web of FOMO and I lost over 10 ethereum because the project I invested the ethereum on have dropped marginally, is this the end of the road for me? Or I still have hope? How can I recover?

This is really a sad predicament and you really got caught up in the web of FOMO indeed, there's has been a general warning to investments in cryptocurrency that's goes "don't put all eggs in one basket" or rather invest with "funds you can afford to lose". The deed is done and unfortunately you didn't mention the name of the project so it would be very difficult to advise whether you should cut your loses and move on or stay in the trade if the project has potential but either way my advise goes thus; conduct a bery through research about the project and check if they have potentials to bounce back later or you cut you loses

I don’t know what kind of Ethereum-based project have you invested mate, but you have to be careful from now and start managing your risks very well. I know how it feels to lose that amount of Ethereum due to the circumstances of that project you’ve invested. It feels like your heart is drowning. I’ve been in the same situation as you before when I didn’t have the time to do research and common sense in investing to those unpromising projects, which ended up losing a lot of money and regretted my decision too.

On a brighter note, it gives us the opportunity to learn about these opportunities that we should not participate next time. Instead of thinking on how to recover, you have to act instead. But how? Look for more online income opportunities whether if it’s costs you nothing or a few bucks. Diversify your income streams.

The only possible thing for him to recover his amount through invest it into the another potential project. He was loosing almost 90% from his amount if he was not cutting loss his investment into the ESH.

I will advice you follow the project up and see if they still have future or plans for the project. It may fall today doesn't me it will be same forever. If it's a project from good team you will recover you loss by waiting but if they don't have any information or plans for the team please you kindly sell off the remaining and use it to buy an old coin then leave it for some while you may gain something back. I think it is the time to move on, I know the feeling to lose huge money because of the FOMO and it is really frustrating. I feel you but it cannot changed the reality after all, embrace the loss that you incurred. I know it is not easy but acceptance is the key for you to learn a lot of knowledge from it. You are definitely right, there is not needed to give up, we should keep doing and learn from our mistakes. Yes, it is bad experience, but we can learn from it that, before investing in any project we must make our own research and realize that if this project is worth investing in or not. As you above mentioned cause for these reasons l prefer investing in top altcoins instead of any projects.

You are right, it would be better to invest in the current top market assets. their market movements look good now. who want to invest their money in something uncertain. at least the market provides certainty and market value that we can monitor. we can control all our money.

It was really an awful experience to lost more than half of your Ethereum and it will surely feel bad on your part for experiencing that. But it will never be the end for you as long as you are still willing to work on earning Ethereum or any other cryptocurrencies you do want. It will take time but still it will be worth it. Experiencing lost is a part of every crypto users journey because admit it or not, we all do have experience like that because there is no such perfect trade or investment specially when you were just starting. It will be some sort of trial and errors and with that experience you would grow up as an individual and could be better since you have gone through that experience so you will already know what to do once you have come up into the same situation again.

It will never be an end for you as long as you will not give up pursuing your goal with crypto. Also, always remember to invest only amounts you can afford to loose. Imagine 10 Ethereum have been lost in just one investment you have done.
