I used to have 14 ethereum but I got caught in the web of FOMO and I lost over 10 ethereum because the project I invested the ethereum on have dropped marginally, is this the end of the road for me? Or I still have hope? How can I recover?

I know everyone is giving advice to be patience. I would give advice to fight with your left money. Don't waste your experience, what you have earned from your big losses.

However, you didn't write the name of the project which did this to you, therefore my number suggestion is, if the project is as good as it looks, then you might give it time but you have to be sure the team are trustworthy and hardworking. But if the project isn't a trustworthy one from your own perspective then you might consider selling and holding your funds in BTC or ETH, so as to reduce more unforseen losses.

in which project that you invested, if this project still regularly send an update to investors it still have possibility to recover although not in your buying price. but if team send nothing and even in their group no communication activity we must to be ready loss our money. 14 eth actually better to used in major altcoin or bitcoin , it will have les risk than new project.
