My 0.1 BTC Journey

I started my journey of gathering btc in Dec 2019, with aim to accumulate 0.1 BTC. After 6 months I managed to accumlate 0.1 BTC. My original intention was to stop accumulation as soon as I have 0.1 btc but now I think I should go for 1 btc.
My suggestion to everyone out there is to invest as much as you can in bitcoin. Since we are in very uncertain situatoon and Bitcoin may be our new savior.

I think so too, but it's also smart to not put all your eggs in one basket, and be smart with our finances. Most of us here know what's going on with Jerome Powell's money printer and how potentially in danger the US dollar is especially in the future, but it's still smart to hold a good amount of fiat money for emergencies and for uncertainties(like how a lot of people lost their jobs since the start of the pandemic).

Congratulations, by the way. You're never going to have "enough" bitcoin. After 1 BTC, automatically the next goal would be 2 BTC. It never ends.

EDIT: oh and I forgot. Don't tell anyone how much BTC you have, both in person and online. You wouldn't want to be targeted by kidnappers and hackers.

That's great, we should not stop dreaming to have only 0.1 BTC, in order for us to be the successful person we should dream high. But always know our limitations, being greedy would make us failed.

Investment is really good, aside of saving our money we also make it profitable. Instead of spending it on other things try to use it for investment, it would help us for our future.

You are correct. The way things are going, future of dollar and other fiat is in danger. Its good to have some handy cash invested in btc.

Having 0.1 BTC is really good enough for investment, actually even smaller amount are good at investing, once you have goal and you already reached that one, you should have other gold which is better than the old one, always make your goal higher whenever you reached the current one. We should not stop dreaming because whenever we dream, it makes it motivate to get that thing, our eagerness will push us to do so.

That is why I really want to invest my money, especially for a long term, it is very profitable, if you have an extra money, better to spend it on investment instead of spending it on some other things.

Unlike those who constantly complain that the price of BTC is too high (even when it falls by 50%), some like you set a goal and move forward despite all possible obstacles. This then results in concrete results and only gives you even more motivation to move on towards some new goal. If you follow the method of investing only what you do not need for life and what you can afford to lose, then you can do it for years without feeling any heavy financial burden.

What is always important to note in such risky investments is to pay special attention to security, which means that private keys are under our control in the safest possible environment. If you already believe in BTC, then try to be your own bank - move your coins from exchanges if you are not an active trader.

That's a nice goal, setting aside some of your excess money from your earnings/salary.
 That's a better decision you made than spending it with material things that won't give us financial benefits or may decrease it's value in the long run. However, realistically I won't put all my money in Bitcoin, I would also have to save some fiat money for easy access of basic necessities. Investing in Bitcoin"as much as you can" means, putting some of your excess money, but not regularly necessary.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin will give you good returns in a perfect time. 1BTC is a very good figure and most of us here doesn't own as much as that. Good luck!

Not to think about bitcoin being a safe haven once more, but a hobby to save money and invest in bitcoin is also one way to discipline ourselves from buying things we don't need. With bitcoin, we are sure that our money is safe, and if we need an emergency fund, we can take it all right away.

That is why I always keep my few bitcoins safe in a hardware wallet to make sure that I have funds and considering bitcoin over banks isn't regretful for me, as I see bitcoin having more promising characteristics compared to bank transfer and transactions.

Congratulations op. However, this isn't the right way to convince everyone. You need to provide proper details to support your statements. Currently, BTC has many issues like extreme volatility, complicated learning process etc.

Why should someone invest in a volatile asset like BTC instead of relying on something more stable like FIAT currencies?

Answer: Your transactions stay anonymous thanks to the decentralized nature of BTC. There are no border restrictions when trading crypto which is far more convenient when compared to something like Western Union etc.

How are you gathering your bitcoins?Are you buying BTC or earning Bitcoins via selling goods and services online?If you are buying BTC,where did you buy them from?Coinbase,Binance or perhaps Localbitcoins and Paxful?Good job for accumulating 0.1 BTC so fast.I remember that I accumulated my first 0.1 BTC for more than one year.Just keep grinding,investing and always remember to HODL and wait for BTC to hit the moon.

I doubt stopping is an option, you already acquired 0.1 BTC which is hard to get by other people and you acquired it by the span of 6 months only.

Now that you've managed to achieve one of the goals you have, reaching 1 BTC is very possible and easy for you to get.

you must have been very smart to have reach that amount of bitcoin. I have been struggling to do the same for the past few month but all to no avail. I am always back to square one. There was a time I doubled my capital with less than 2 weeks by trading ETHBULL and ETHBEAR on Binance until binance delisted them. I migrated to Bitmax also trading this BULL and BEAR market but it has not materialized. I would appreciate if you can give the summary of how you achieved this and most important, how much is your starting capital ?

No problem if your first target is 0.1 btc, and after you can reach your target, you can increase the other target to reach. Congratulations, you can achieve your target in 6 months because not all people can do that thing in 6 months. The next target will be more difficult, but I am sure that you can achieve too, and no matter how long you can reach that, you will be there, and you can have more than 1 bitcoin someday. Don't forget to learn more so you can have more chance to make a profit, and don't feel satisfied or too confident with your achievement because that can make you forget your mission.

Youre amazing not everyone can accumulate 0.1btc can I ask if you purchase it from your work or any fund savings or you just work out to gain that amount by joining airdrop or bounty? For your rank this is quite hard in my opinion. Even high rank here can get a hard time to acquire that. Maybe for signature participants can, but you are just newbie meaning you got skills or talent that can compliment what you lack here.

As long as you have extra funds, don't ever ever stop accumulating Bitcoin or any other coins because if you stop doing it you will feel regret in the long term and will say "I would have just bought Bitcoin or other coins when I have the money".

I think sharing how your journey goes reality is more cooler mate,i mean how did you accumulate these Bitcoin?have you invested money or from services you offered?or maybe trading?sorry but you did not mentioned how come.

I start accumulating Bitcoin years back but just by Joining some Bounties and signature campaigns ,until i start receiving extra bonus from my real Job so i invest all of them in Bitcoin because that is just an extra income

Hope many of us here will start doing the same,but for the option that if ever there is a chance that we can use Bitcoin for transaction don't hesitate and give Bitcoin a chance to circulate.

Right, try to aim to collect 1 BTC to get into the "1 bitcoin club". And I'm sure a lot of us is really accumulating in small portions from .01 - 1 BTC. And there are a lot of long running bitcoin signature campaigns here and I'm sure most of them have accumulated more than 1 BTC already. And for those who think that you need to invest 1 BTC right away, then you won't be able to get to that position. Just invest any amount, the secret here is accumulation, it might take some time, but if you really zone in, I'm sure you will reach your goal. It's a smart idea to earn your BTC instead of having to buy from fiat to crypto. Not that it's terrible, but most of the exchanges want to have more fiat. What I think is that the exchanges where you could buy BTC using your credit card, debit, wire transfers, etc., that's when they earn the most, IMO. Not only that, but the KYC private information that you will give just to buy that BTC might not be worth it.

You can surely do it btw. Be consistent, and remember to manage your risks with whatever you are going to do with your money.

They don't realize it yet or even want to earn anything about bitcoin until they receive a certain amount of it.
Due to researching on how to withdraw bitcoin, they became hooked by it and also learn more about the current.

Cool, it's the same story as of me. I have been introduced with BTC by one of my client who wanted me through BTC; although I disagree at the beginning, later started to to dig about it and hence, I'm here in this forum.
Nevertheless, you have accumulated a good amount. I don't want to disclose anything though. I'm saving almost all of my earnings with BTC. Don't think 0.1 BTC is too low; remember, there will be no more BTC than 21 million.

In any scenario saving your bitcoin is still the best option even these days, still, you have the option to sell it at any moment when you see that there is profit to be made just make sure to sell it when the market is on high value.

I don't really hold a big amount of bitcoins since most of the time when I already have a good amount I just spend it into something that could be a good investment. But I'm saving my bitcoin again and I'm thinking to hold it more a long term I just hoping for a pump because of the bitcoin halving.

The first rule of investing is to never invest more than you can afford to lose. I don't know how high is your personal risk tolerance, but advising people to invest as much as they can can be pretty irresponsible, it's never a good idea to put all your savings in one place, especially if it's so speculative and volatile.

People shouldn't look at others to decide how much they should invest, no one needs to own 1 BTC or 2.1 BTC or 21 BTC, those amounts are completely arbitrary. Don't try to apply to yourself the standards of western people with their $100k salaries if you are from a third world country.

Well good for you that you have already gather a 10% of bitcoin so you only need 90% in which 0.9BTC right stepping stone to make a good profit soon .and also why not try to invest spare money inside bitcoin so you can have big holdings if ever Bull run comes.

It's like fiat money, you will never have enough of it. But the most important thing here is that you found value in using Bitcoin as a freelancer. As a freelancer myself, it's so convenient to just use Bitcoin rather than other transactions because there's just too much processes to do. With Bitcoin, just send and that's it. A word of caution though: if you've been collecting many "small" amounts of Bitcoin, you may be surprised by the fees you'll have to pay if you ever want to send them. If that's the case, it's better to Consolidate your small inputs when fees are low and you're not in a rush to spend your coins.

Also make sure to properly store your coins, don't rely on for instance an online wallet or exchange any longer than needed.

If I'm not mistaken on the previous year on December the market price of the bitcoin drops and just on this January to up to April is the highest market peak of the coin which is good that you bought on the dip of the market price of the coin there is a lot of profit if I'm not mistaken. By that kind of technique you can earn a lot of income but still always take care of the market volatile it is quite risky. Having a 0.01 balance is huge right now because the market price of the coin is high which is good to keep up earning. Many people most of the seniors of us are sharing an idea to the newbies what are the things they can get while on investment and that is if you have extra money and you don't need too much why not make an investment which is the bitcoin investment even it takes a lot of time before you will get your income.

I would like to encourage you to earn more knowledge what are the other things to get increase and multiply your 0.01 but still always take care make a research first before entering into a business that you would like to take because they are a lot of scammers out there.

I for one accumulated my Bitcoin doing some freelance work and making sure that I hold on to my portfolio never allowing any temptation to convert the same for personal use. That potential and opportunity you really use well. Even though at first you were doubtful, but after seeing the good opportunity that you have, you can accept it. Really valuable experience, you get lots of opportunities at once, work-salary-investment.

It was not 20$ for every article I wrote. Price varies from article to article. 20$ was the first payment I received in Bitcoin. It really helped me practically understanding what Bitcoin is.
Here 20$ are paid to hero and legendary members not to Jr members like. I have to be at that level to gets these 20$.

As long you do know the risk behind on accepting Bitcoin or crypto as form of salary then go ahead and continue to accumulate.Just be sure that you do get a portion

of that for your daily expense and save up the rest.0.1 to 1BTC goal might really be that too far for freelancing income source but theres nothing that cant be achieved

Not to invest as much as you can but to invest an amount you can afford "losing". Let us face the reality. Not everytime, the market value of Bitcoin is in upward direction. Volatility is in nature so always keep in mind the tendency of "losing" not literally, but having times wherein there will be no profit. Once you experience this situation, have some guts to continue what you have started and trust the market itself. Keep in mind that downfalls are in nature and there will always be a tendency for a recovery. Just be patient with things and do not always expect an easy profit to not be carried away when making a decision.

Agreed. I tried it and it is very effective. Bitcoin was a very good place to entrust our investment due to the fact that it can totally give a decent profit. However, sometimes this will takes a lot of time for it to surge unlike other altcoins who is more volatile. Besides, diversifying your investment will enhance your safety.

I started my journey of gathering btc in Dec 2019, with aim to accumulate 0.1 BTC. After 6 months I managed to accumlate 0.1 BTC. My original intention was to stop accumulation as soon as I have 0.1 btc but now I think I should go for 1 btc.
My suggestion to everyone out there is to invest as much as you can in bitcoin. Since we are in very uncertain situatoon and Bitcoin may be our new savior.

In December 2019, one of my client offered to pay me in btc, just for a trial I accepted his offer. It was just 20 USD but after that my primary mode of receiving payments became btc. Since in btc you get complete payment without any middlemen and within few hours. Honestly I realized benefits of btc after I received my first payment of 20 USD before that I thought its just a buzz word.

0.1 btc is big profit for me there is many ways to earn smooth and to grow further from 0.1 btc to the highest point  and aim very lucky guy if i have 0.1btc

Certainly and more likely, that would really be the case. Acquire Bitcoin as much as you can afford but do not put up all that you have in your sleeves all with Bitcoin alone. Better diversify your investments to accumulate all potential possibilities of grabbing opportunities that other crypto can do also provide. With regards to the concern of acquiring Bitcoin as much as you can, that would be a great thing to do for you must take into consideration grabbing all the Bitcoins you can attain for as long as you can afford to have it. Accumulation must not stop at one point after you have already accomplished getting into your goal. I cant blame out people who do only just focused on acquiring bitcoin and never look nor turned their backs to altcoins yet when it comes to potential then theres no doubt that btc would really have it but the fact that alts can really give out some good deal if you do able to choose the right project to support on.

I hope you still have the patient to wait for the bitcoin price increase. Bitcoin price will not be staying at a price now, and if the time for bitcoin price increases come, the price will start the rally, and the price will break every high price. Until that time, we can only prepare our bitcoin, and if you still have more money, you can try to buy more bitcoin. And yes, we should not use all money to invest in crypto because we have a life out of the crypto, and we still need to survive in this pandemic.

It is a good opportunity today to make an investment with the use of the bitcoin also one of my experience most of my clients from the world of photo and video editing are offering me a bitcoin as a payment which is a good thing because every time I work there is an additional funds to my bitcoin wallet and also we all know that the market price of the bitcoin are volatile so there is a chance this may increase the money that I have but we cannot deny that there is a risk too that my funds will decrease the value of it. Right now still I have my wor and continuously earning bitcoin I will this and wait the for ATH the profit that I will get.

I am also a freelancer and I have been making use of Bitcoin to receive payments for a few years now. Bitcoin is really the best and it’s better than other payment methods I have been using before now.

I have tried Payoneer and others, but the fees you’re going to be paying for receiving your money and withdrawals are always high and they don’t make any sense; you will charge a particular amount for a project, plus the fact that some clients always wants to pay some ridiculous amounts, then after you have suffered and worked hard to get those money, you will then have to face fees from these platforms. It just doesn’t make any sense, Bitcoin is the best, it’s very cheap.

It's good to hear that you started liking BTC because of its decentralization. There is no middleman between worker and client. Most freelancers are taking their salary at PayPal, Skrill and neteller cause they have very little idea about Bitcoin. your story started happy but the ending didnt go well . btc on the year 2016 was still cheap so 0.8btc for someone that is a site creator is kinda small but thats okay because atleast you experience to use a btc for the first time  . now that you know that btc value can rose high , you can still try again . i know you can accumulate that amount or much higher than that with that skill you have  .  a journey doesnt always mean that its succesful but it can also started  as bad although you can fixed it and make it good in the long run  .

Congrats on reaching your goal!  One thing that is extremely important for those whom are doing financial planning is to set goals.  It's a simple concept but something that is often overlooked. That being said you want to be careful as to how much you "invest" in bitcoin.  Before putting much money in to bitcoin, one should have a sound /diversified portfolio that is well balanced and on track for retirement.  If and when those boundaries are covered, then it makes sense to invest your money in a more speculative asset.

Saving bitcoin is really a good thing and I think for a lot of time it when I invest in bitcoin I always get a profit saving bitcoin. I think most of my funds came from the signature campaign and most of it I end up investing in bitcoin. I just watch the marketplace if it is a good time for selling my bitcoin depending on the value of bitcoin that I get because it depends on the market value in the market. I sell my bitcoin if it is not worth it investing my reward in the signature campaign. But when you look at it today if I just save every bitcoin from my signature campaigns it already a big profit.

yes, it was still cheap in 2016.
I got 0.8 btc from several orders, not 1 order. 
my rate was 0.1 btc for wp installation with a ready-made template.
I sold that btc and I used the money to pay my debt and bought a cheap smartphone.
the smartphone itself cost me 0.2 btc. now it becomes an expensive smartphone tho. lol

I think it was a great start for you and you should try to accumulate more as much as you could but we all know that the price could move anyway it would so it is also a risk you have to accept.

Everyone wants a good life and truth remains that people will always want to improve on their finances. By extension we all do want to save and invest. But that really isn't possible most times, especially when we barely have enough to eat and keep us afloat. I said afloat because I know someone may want to cite me one of those motivational speeches of how we take out a portion for savings before eating. Sometimes, people don't even have what to set aside for food let alone savings. OP, this isn't taking anything away from you on your determination on your journey so far. Kudos.

EDIT: oh and I forgot. Don't tell anyone how much BTC you have, both in person and online. You wouldn't want to be targeted by kidnappers and hackers.

Also, he should keep more than one wallets to prevent people from knowing what he's worth as we can easily trace all transactions on a single wallet on the blockchain. Alternatively, he can use a mixer to shield off prying eyes.
