That's true, Ethereum is not giving up the second position anytime soon and from its increase in price this past weeks in addition to its upcoming improvements, I think it shows it is the first coin to watch out for this year. 2020 will be the year for good technology alts! I feel that the investors are targeting the alts with good technology, maybe that is the trend of investment in 2020 and 2021. Do you see the alts with an upgrade in technology are being highly appreciated? eg BAND, Zilliqua, Omisego. All those alts have grown very strongly in the market recovery. It seems we need to find good alts to buy and hold in the near future. The possibility of x5 or x10 accounts is easy if you choose the right coin.

If you see old coins then it's true as you say that their recovery is still slow compared to Bitcoin. But if you see successful new coins in the early 2020 or the end of 2019 then I see that their development has been very good until now. Examples such as the IPX token where the price is still good until now. And I personally made IPX as one of my long-term investment assets in this year.

If ETH updates 2.0, I think it can only help its value go up. ETH does not affect too much to other altcoins, if you want the entire altcoin to go up, you have to expect Bitcoin to break down ATH, then the altcoins will definitely go up.

Let's just stick with realistic targets for now.

well I think to be able to recover to prices like in 2017 is very difficult because the cryptocurrency support from 2017 to this year has started to decline and no one can make the price go up again, so even though prices rise again but will never be able to reach at high prices like in 2017.

Many altcoins will die in the next two years and will only leave the market to altcoins that have a good and futureable project behind them. Only the best will remain and it is important to focus on them

Sad but true, there is no need for hundreds of same purpose altcoins in the small crypto market. The future use case and the vision of the project are more important than everything else. The time is killing the profitability of useless projects, so there is no need to invest in trash coins. Leaving the market is better rather than investing in this type of altcoin portfolio.
