I'm a noob looking to throw a couple hundred at a single coin...

So which coin should it be oh great bitcointalk community?

This week I've played around with some coins, made some money lost some money right now I'm at net -1.03%, which isn't too bad (Maza coin was a bad idea).

I like coins that do something and have a community behind them like vert and doge BUT also like the thrill of coins like max coin (42 coin is a scam).

In order of which has the most potential profit:

1) Doge    
2) Name
3) Peer


I would suggest you split your funds three ways between them.

are you joking, DOGE? AS NUMBER#1? what are you 14? doge doesn't yeild ANY POTENTIAL PROFIT, it's currently worth 120-133 sat, it's all time high was 280, before it got dumped by wolong, now doge is a kicked dog waiting to get put down

TEKcoin would probably be the best option as it gives 40% interest every 30 days, and they are pretty cheap right now.

I recommend you to learn the pump and dump thing!

After that choose a new coin and apply what you've learned!

Profit will be from 1% to 1000%!

It's a lot easier to see a loss from 1% to 1000%.
I like the cash in the ziploc idea. $200 also buys some good booze and a really nice dinner. The nice thing about playing with only $200 though is when you lose most of it you shouldn't be tempted to try again with real money.

3 or is it 4 'major' news stories in the last couple days.  Tied to a multi-billion dollar real world industry.  Very strong and growing global economy.  Investors.  Developers sharp as tacks.  Just put on Cryptsy today.  All of that an not a real 'live' global launch for almost a month.

I'd put my 2 hundo in POT.

But like I said, I'm a complete noob.

BTC has the best recognition by far, yet current adoption is maybe 1%? If Wall Street were to get involved and IMO they will, what would happen to the price?

Best to do your own research. Most here will just mention whatever coins they are invested in. You'll get people saying GoldCoin is the new standard! Or Beecoin is going to the moon ... or similar nonsense.

Safe bet: BTC.

If a risk taker, you could also  put some in DarkCoin, or wait for Ethereum. And maybe play the pump and dump game with a small amount of funds and hope for the best.

And I'm not quite sure I feel so safe with POS coins, as at first glance, one would say 10-20% return on investment is nice. But there is so much variability in price, who knows what the coin will be worth a year from now. You may gain 20% in extra coins, but lose 50% in overall value.

Kittehcoin is real cheap now and stable and ogonna rise, carboncoin has just relaunched with a very viable green angle, both good buys at the moment. NXT goes without saying.A day or so ago i would v added MAX but just gone up so much who knows if it can hold it price now!!?

When I made the recommendation I was very specific, seconds before I posted that recommendation Doge was 118 trending down, seconds after I posted the message many people grabbed a couple crumbs at 120ea, 121, and even 122 all profit. I would have gotten out at about 121.  All three positions performed as recommended.

The OP wanted a profit not a prophet if he took my advice he made that profit and stepped out of the position.

Best advice, is to read yourself, me i find the one of the real undervaluated coin is saturncoin, why?

1.-Cryptsy has the info wrong, they have that is 50 billion coin, when is really total cap of 15 billion, less than any of the others that are recommended, and there is only 5.5 billion coins minted so far, so average price for the coin should be easy 40+

2.-Faster than most of the other coins, requires only 2 confirmations, so has a potential use for real aplications for the speed, and has no errors on its wallets at all, as oposite of a lot of others where you lose coins just because the bad wallets.

3.-The community is great and work together as a team, they add resources week by week and it just keeps growing.

4.- is one of the most stable charts and the buy pressure keeps getting bigger by day, so it could go to where it bellongs sooner than we expect.
