Thanks for your reply! Since you mentioned the possibility of sending the list by email, I was wondering — would it be possible to get the list of all Bitcoin addresses with a balance, and in addition to that, include the date of the first transaction for each address?

I understand that this extra information might not have been part of the data shown on http://addresses.loyce.club by default, but if it’s possible to generate such a list, could you please send it to me by email?

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

You can do that with program "utxodump" but you will get only block number. It lists all transactions from Bitcoin Core chainstate folder, when you use configuration option txindex=1.
Having block numbers you can add date/time to them.

The email thing was a joke, mailboxes can't handle 1.5 GB compressed data.

Quote

It's probably possible to get that data from Bitcoin block data (1013 GB): inputs, outputs and transactions, but unless someone makes me an offer for this, I wasn't planning on adding this.
Allow me to be curious: what would you need the date for?

Just curiosity - I’d like to see how many old wallets still have untouched balances.

It's too much work to do just to satisfy your curiosity Wink But if you really want to: go for it and download the full data. Please post the results when done Smiley

Brute-forceable addresses: 45,724,975
Who's telling you this? Brute-forcing Bitcoin addresses is impossible in practice.

Where do you get those errors? Which addresses are "malformed"?

Duplicates skipped: 7,097
I checked:
Code:
cat Bitcoin_addresses_LATEST.txt.gz | gunzip | sort -S50% | uniq -d
This shows no duplicates. Can you tell me which duplicates you found?

There's no Bitcoin address data since August 25, but other datadumps are still available. It's not the first time this isn't updated, so unless you have a source that confirms they ended this datadump, I expect it to be back in a couple of days. If not, I'll look into ways to create this data by myself.

Update (a day later): I'm currently downloading the latest version. This should be available on my server in a few hours.

I think the problem may the Mac editor you're using: could it be limited to a million lines? Most GUI editors don't like opening 2.5 GB files. The file above has 56 million lines and ends like this (numbers added by me):

This is from the Blockchair Telegram Channel: "Unfortunately, this file is no longer available. Instead, please refer to the data dumps at https://3xpl.com/data/dumps. There you’ll find datasets for 48 blockchains, including Bitcoin: https://3xpl.com/data/dumps/bitcoin-main". The problem with 3xpl is that they give a daily transaction dump. To get the whole list you need to download 1.2 TB of data, sort the 1.2 TB check the list on the blockchain and create the list of all funded Bitcoin addresses.... Thank you for the List

Where did you get Sep 1 file when blockchair has finished its hosting Aug 25?

Your hosting and data are very valuable! Especially for guys trying to hack Bitcoins, you know that?

Well, i have tried that website that Blockchair recommended but it's a hustle to get a list from there, the Loyce list is much, much, much better, easy to download, and it get's you setup in no time.

I spent nearly a year, reading and writing over 888 billion (888000000000) private keys, generating corresponding public keys of various types for comparison ("hack" Bitcoins).
Why so few keys? I'd expect decent hardware to check hundreds of millions of keys per second.

Quote
But the result is nothing except electricity bills.
At least you've proven to yourself that Bitcoin is secure Wink

Quote
Also, I'm certain that many people are doing similar things, especially those with special addresses that are constantly being monitored.
Thanks to Full RBF, the competition for those addresses burns almost all funds as transaction fees, and leaves only dust amounts to be taken.

When it comes to current hardware then it can be said that Bitcoin is highly secure but surely in future developers might need to add more security options for Bitcoin holders because in next few years we might see quantum computers and for such computers it won't be much hard to brute force the current security system of Bitcoin.

Prevention is better than cure might apply here, I know at this time there's no such security threat to Bitcoin and that 51% attack is not going to happen either thanks to all miners.

However, in future there're some risks when it comes to current security algorithms. SHA-256 is indeed quite secure as of now but who know in next few years it might not be that much secure.

A few years ago it wasn't possible to create videos with AI video generators, only those who had skills of cinematography could make good videos but now AI video generators like VEO 3 can create some good quality videos with just a few words of prompting.

World is moving fast, I know the example of AI video generation is somehow off topic, but it's still true that such a thing was not present in 2022 or before that or even in 2023.

There is no script that will make network requests and check Bitcoin mainnet addresses.

It's a thing called Bitcoin, you may have heard of it. It's data, like any other data it's purpose can be whatever you want it to be. You could print it and hang it above your bed, for instance. It's up to you.

Yes, I know it's Bitcoin.
But knowing the address with the balance, it's impossible to calculate its hash to hack it.
Everyone dreams of this....just looking at addresses with millions of dollars is a perversion  Grin

Bandwidth
Starting December 2024, I have a new VPS. This server is allowed 16 TB bandwidth per month. Enjoy!
That didn't age well Sad
This server has burned through 15 TB of bandwidth this month already, and I don't want it to get suspended. So for now, I've shut down Apache2. It's scheduled to restart in 12 days.
This scenario may repeat itself this month. Less than half way in you guys have burned more than half my bandwidth:
Code:
9.8 TB of 16.6 TB Used / 6.8 TB Free
That's 500 downloads per day, with each file being 1.3-1.6 GB!
