Interesting, Killyou72 got his name changed long ago but appeard in the list here
I think bitmover used
my list of usernames, and I didn't update this user yet. I'll update it at my next update (Friday).
That's exactly the reason.
I made a version that went from day to day, since day 1. However, there were 2 reasons which made me decide to make this animation based on the last day of the month merit status:
1 - the dataframe became too heavy, and it was really hard to upload the data into the animation website.
2 - on day 1 we already had more than a thousand merits distributed, so there was no visible difference. Even in the beginning of the animation, as day 1 of merit system was a very unusual day. The first data in the animation is on 31/01/18, which is basically the same as the first day (i think first day was 28/01)
Here are my suggestions:
- Maybe you should also try animating the merit receivers from different ranks as well (i.e. Merited Member - Legendary Members)
But the next problem is their rank now might be different than their rank when they received Merit. Users grow through the ranks as they earn Merit.
I agree, this is a problem as well. As everyone would be legendary or Hero, even though they were newbie in the beginning. Maybe I could do some algorithm to make that change over time... but too much trouble I guess.
I believe it would be nice to make a
board race of circulating merits. I don't have that data now, as I don't know exactly how to convert forum posts to boards.
Really interesting to see a few people close to the top in 2018 that I've never even heard of.
Local boards plays a big role here. Even now, I can see many users who post basically in their local boards.[/list]
