Has been a few years, charts updated
Updates- Added "Weekly DT1 Member Strength" charts, this was in order to have a more thorough overview of the rise in DT1 Average Positive Strength, as well as decline in DT1 Average Negative Strength.
- Expanded Top 30 / Bottom 30 to Top 50 / Bottom 50 All-Time Total DT1 Strength, similar to
DT Strength Statistics. Previous version can be found
here per
changelog.
Analysis- DT1 Eligibility has seen a sharp decline in the past year since relative stability from mid 2021 until the end of 2024, when it was fluctuating around it's long-term moving averages. The long-term trend is now down, reaching it's lowest level in ~7 years.
- The number of DT1 Included and Excluded members remains largely unchanged overall, fluctuating between 90 and 97 with an average of approximately 5 exclusions per week. The past 18 months has seen a slight uptick in Included Members however.
- Average DT1 Positive Strength has reached it's highest level in approximately 6 years (12), highlighting a long-term uptrend has formed in the past year after relative stability (see Total Positive DT1 Strength and it's moving averages).
- The number of DT1 Members by Strength highlights the increased centralization within DT1, with >4 reaching it's highest level since 2019 this year, and >9, >19, >29 also climbing and returning to the highest levels since 2019/2020.
- Average DT1 Negative Strength continues to decline and remains at lows (-8). In contrast, Total DT1 Negative Strength remains relatively stable at -40, around it's short to long-term averages located at -35 to -37.
- The divergence between Average DT1 Negative Strength and it's Weekly Total can be explained by the slight decrease in Excluded DT1 Members in the past ~18 months (Excluded Members reduced by half creates a considerable difference).
Summary- The DT1 network has seen an increase in centralisation in the past ~18 months and specifically in the past year. This is otherwise unrelated to DT1 Eligibility, despite it's sharp decline and downwards trend.
Disclaimer- This isn't an analysis of DefaultTrust, this data is only based on DT1. Further charting and analysis is required in order to determine if this centralization is reflective of the DT network overall, or only effects DT1.
