Not only the design, but the technology they found certainly does not want to be exposed with a gap given as open source.
Modern hardware wallets today provide more features and security that are the best, and every manufacturer is racing to be the best.

The price is also more expensive with a myriad of complete features and an easy-to-use user interface,
especially now that many hardware wallets use a fairly wide touch screen.

Some hardware wallets certainly provide discounts for Christmas and New Year this year, just choose which one is suitable.

That's good to know, but personally, I can't trust any hardware wallet for very large amounts of Bitcoin. I still have my air-gapped computer that will never connect to the internet again while I use it as my cold-storage.

Plus I already got my SafePal X1.

Safepal sent it on December 14, and the Brazilian Postal Service received it on the 29th
I believe I should receive it next week between January 5 and 9

Then post a brief review of what you think of the wallet

My Safelpal will be delayed a little, my country's tax authorities are charging some additional taxes  
I won the Safepal from Jumper Exchange, but even so, they are still charging me some taxes on top of the shipping costs

Brazil is not a friendly place for international shopping
I hope they don't open the packaging in the process

Hackers and security professionals with good intentions won't expose exploits, bugs, and vulnerabilities to the general public. By doing that, they could create many problems for the users of said software or hardware. Instead, there is a thing called responsible disclosure. They disclose their findings to the company and its developers. The company then has time to investigate the findings and patch the issues. Only after weeks or months and after a fix has been released for the users, will the company release information about what happened and why there is a need to update.

I'm not sure if that's the norm with the customs in your country, but it's worth noting that SafePal has an authentication mechanism on its devices.

Responsible disclosure may be like a Bug Bounty or even if it is not written that the hardware wallet company that gets information about the latest bug should also reward users who disclose some of the bugs they find.
But some uninformed companies don't even provide any rewards to individuals or communities that help develop their software and hardware wallets.

Supposedly, if it is indeed opened, it is only limited to seeing if it is really the same item as on the packaging, because such checks are often carried out by customs,
but some also only look at it from an X-ray camera without the need to open the seal.

Safepal S1 or other safepal hardware does have device authentication when a new device is opened and turned on,
it will display a QR Code that directs the user to verify the 6-digit code generated by the safepal device randomly.

This is done to validate the original device or have been used before,
because if the device has been activated before, it will only appear in the main menu by asking for a PIN Code

In the document that must be declared, Safepal described: SEED PHRASE STORAGE HARDWARE WALLET

So they know it's a hard wallet, but I really hope the packaging hasn't been tampered with. I'll check it carefully to make sure

If ANYONE breaks the seal and opens the box, then that hardware wallet can't be trusted to be stored with ANY amount of Bitcoin. But that's merely my suggestion. You can still use it if you think that I'm very paranoid with such things.

Although, owning Bitcoin should come with good OPSEC.

I haven't actually used mine, and I haven't also found the solution to my question about changing the default address to Bech32. Haha.

I don't use much of Bitcoin except for HODLing, although I do use Bitcoin to play Craps in casinos sometimes, especially when the price is surging.

The most unpleasant part of the whole procedure, I must say.

I assume you have got X1 variant, and if that’s correct, they’ve issued new firmware release  ^V1.0.31 which adds "Support the revocation of the approval of EIP7702 contract." This is an important update, as it allows you to cancel or remove any previously granted permissions under EIP‑7702 contracts.

I'm not a SafePal user to know if they've changed the process since last year or not, but in case you missed my comment from earlier in the month, I posted a "link to a video" that clearly shows how you can change the default address on their companion app.

Thanks for the link ser. I shall put that in my bookmarks, although I may never watch it because I have never touched my SafePal since the day I set it up, and I might never use it like I never use my Ledger Wallet. Haha.

The SafePal is literally in the box on my table. I hope my Bitcoiner friend isn't lurking in this topic.
