Qortal creates a backup folder of blockchain before auto-update. This is a very useful feature if something goes wrong during an update. I have not seen like this before. It is GREAT!

That's right, we have completed a core Auto-Update this morning, bringing with it some improvements on CPU usage for those of you who have been complaining about CPU usage...

A thing you may not realize is that the CPU usage for a system such as Qortal, shouldn't really be a problem, once you start to realize the capability of the network, you'll understand what I'm saying...

Qortal is essentially a distributed Network-Based Operating System. So to take 50% of your CPU (which should only happen on low-end CPUs, but even still) is not a big deal.


In the future, you will ONLY need Qortal's UI, to access EVERYTHING. You will never need to remember another password again, for use of any of the plethora of useful apps/services that are available on the network. If you control the keys to a Qortal account, that's all you need in order to make use of everything available.

Unhackable Network to run EVERYTHING.

The first focus, now that we're past the initial 'get the network growing' phase, is the Trade Portal. The Trade Portal is a Cross-Chain Trade mechanism for trading coins/assets.

The first coin to be listed, of course, will be BTC. Followed shortly by LTC, and ETH. As time goes on, and the Voting System is implemented, we can put up proposals for other listings.

Now the question comes, 'what is the value of QORT coin?'... to this, I can only say...

Compare Qortal with ANY other blockchain, then compare the market cap of that blockchain, and the total coin supply...

Take those numbers then calculate what the value of QORT should be based on ITS overall supply... then you'll have an idea.

Qortal can do things that NO OTHER PLATFORM CAN DO. We are WELL AHEAD ALREADY, of EVERY BLOCKCHAIN that I am aware of.

Taking all of this into consideration...


I DO NOT SEE SELLING FOR LESS THAN 50-100 USD MINIMUM, AS A VIABLE OPTION. I feel like getting anything less than that is a total joke, and not assigning anywhere near the true value of the platform.

I personally haven't sold ANY over the counter, just awaiting the Trade Portal's release like everyone else. At which time we can establish a base price, and a stable p2p market for the coin, and give the platform its first 'Market Cap'.

I will not be applying for listing on coinmarketcap.com, however, if they choose to list us on their own accord that's up to them.


I will not be applying for listing on ANY centralized service, as we will have decentralized versions of EVERY useful service in development in the very near future.

From Chat, to Trade, to Data Storage and Hosting (coming soon) - there is no comparison to Qortal in terms of use cases and ease-of-use. No other platform that can do anything like what Qortal can, and will be able to in the future. So comparing it to any other platform is difficult... and so is the comparison in terms of finding a good 'base price'.


But I stick to my goal of not selling any for less than 50-100USD per coin, as I firmly believe that price is  VERY LOW, and that people will soon see this and validate my opinion.

What is the issue ? You are saying that It is not working for you. But you can see QORTAL tray icon (Which means it is working). Can you give more details ?

Hi. You have high latency problem. You should install some time sync app, to have accurate time running on your PC. I am running Time-Sync freeware app, and it is doing time sync every minute, so you can try this.... You need to install UI, and start is from .exe file, not from Core.

Linux is also a much better option. NTP Time is off on your node.

It is working great on Windows, so you don't have to bother with Linux, if you don't have it.
